A comprehensive understanding of the sediment behavior at the entrance of diversion channels requires complete knowledge of threedimensional(3 D) flow behavior around such structures. Dikes and submerged vanes are typical structures used to control sediment entrainment in the diversion channel. In this study, a 3 D computational fluid dynamic(CFD) code was calibrated with experimental data and used to evaluate flow patterns, the diversion ratio of discharge, the strength of secondary flow, and dimensions of the vortex inside the channel in various dike and submerged vane installation scenarios. Results show that the diversion ratio of discharge in the diversion channel is dependent on the width of the flow separation plate in the main channel. A dike perpendicular to the flow with a narrowing ratio of 0.20 doubles the ratio of diverted discharge in addition to reducing suspended sediment input to the basin, compared with a no-dike situation, by creating the outer arch conditions. A further increase in the narrowing ratio decreases the diverted discharge. In addition, increasing the longitudinal distance between consecutive vanes(Ls) increases the velocity gradient between the vanes and leads to a more severe erosion of the bed, near the vanes.

Two new cadmium（II）-thiocyanato coordination polymers with 4,4＇-dimethyl-2,2＇-bipyridine（4,4＇-dm-2,2＇-bpy） and 4,4＇-dimethoxy-2,2＇-bipyridine（4,4＇-dmo-2,2＇-bpy） as chelating ligands were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H NmR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. Thermal properties were also studied as well. These complexes have formed as [Cd（4,4＇-dm-2,2＇-bpy）（NCS）2]n（1） and [Cd（4,4＇-dmo-2,2＇-bpy）（NCS）2]n（2）. The coordination numbers of CdII in 1 and 2 are six（Cd N4S2）. Direction of bridging of thiocyanato anions in 1 and 2 created one- and two-dimensional coordination polymers, respectively. The supramolecular features in these complexes were guided and controlled by weak directional intermolecular interactions.

Two new zinc（Ⅱ） compounds with dibenzoylmethane and N-donor ancillary ligands,[Zn（μ-pyz）（dbm）_2]_n（1） and [Zn（dbm）_2（μ-bpe）Zn（dbm）_2]（2）（Hdbm = dibenzoylmethane,pyz = pyrazine and bpe = 1,2-bis（4-pyridyl）ethane）,have been prepared and characterized using elemental analysis,IR,~1H NmR and 13 C NmR spectroscopy,and studied by thermal gravimetric analysis as well as single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal and molecular structures of 1 and 2 have been solved by X-ray diffraction and they turned out to be a one-dimensional coordination polymer with linear dispositions of metal atoms and binuclear compound,respectively. These one-dimensional polymers are further connected to form a 3D supramolecular network by C–H···O（only in 2） and π-π interactions.

Water quality is always one of the most important factors in human health. Artificial intelligence models are respected methods for modeling water quality. The evolutionary algorithm (EA) is a new technique for improving the performance of artificial intelligence models such as the adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) and artificial neural networks (ANN). Attempts have been made to make the models more suitable and accurate with the replacement of other training methods that do not suffer from some shortcomings, including a tendency to being trapped in local optima or voluminous computations. This study investigated the applicability of ANFIS with particle swarm optimization (PSO) and ant colony optimization for continuous domains (ACOR) in estimating water quality parameters at three stations along the Zayandehrood River, in Iran. The ANFIS-PSO and ANFIS-ACOR methods were also compared with the classic ANFIS method, which uses least squares and gradient descent as training algorithms. The estimated water quality parameters in this study were electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), the sodium adsorption ratio (SAR), carbonate hardness (CH), and total hardness (TH). Correlation analysis was performed using SPSS software to determine the optimal inputs to the models. The analysis showed that ANFIS-PSO was the better model compared with ANFIS-ACOR. It is noteworthy that EA models can improve ANFIS' performance at all three stations for different water quality parameters.

Two sections from the Silurian deposits in the Central Iran micro and Turan Plates were measured and sampled. These deposits are mostly composed of submarine volcanic rocks, skeletal and non-skeletal limestone, shale and sandstone that were deposited in low to high energy conditions （from tidal flat to deep open marine）. According to gradual deepening trend, wide lateral distribution of facies as well as absence of resedimentation deposits, a depositional model of a homoclinal ramp was proposed for these deposits. Field observations and facies distribution indicate that, two depositional sequences were recognized in both sections. These sections show similarities in facies and depositional sequence during the Early Silurian in the area. Although there are some opinions and evidences that demonstrated Paleo-Tethys rifting phase started at the Late Ordovician-Early Silurian, similarities suggest that the Turan and Iran Plates were not completely detached tectonic block during this time, and that their depositional conditions were affected by global sea level changes and tectonic events.

Stone column is one of the soil stabilizing methods that is used to increase bearing capacity and decrease the settlement of soft *** and unreinforced granular blankets are now being utilized to overcome the problems of soft *** this research,the bearing capacity of stone columns,granular blanket,and a combination of both methods in reinforced and unreinforced modes were studied using scaled physical *** show that using granular blanket,stone column,and combination of both improves bearing capacity of soft *** geogrid as the reinforcement of granular blankets and geotextile as stone-column encasement increases the efficiency of granular blankets and stone columns ***,in the case of using geotextile around the stone column,the stress concentration ratio of the stone column will increase as well as its rigidity and bearing capacity.

通过中心复合设计(CCD)法设计实验并结合动电位极化曲线和电化学阻抗谱(EIS)的测量,研究了Cl^-浓度、温度、pH值、SDS浓度和CTAB浓度5种因素对碳钢腐蚀性能的影响,确定其显著性影响因素,从而探索有机缓蚀剂SDS和CTAB复配溶液配比及使用环境最佳区间。结果表明:SDS和CTAB及两者的复配溶液均对碳钢具有良好的缓蚀效果,两者混合使用的复配溶液具有很好的协同作用。Cl-浓度为0.01mol/L、pH值为12、温度为10℃、SDS浓度为150ppm、CTAB浓度为20ppm时缓蚀效果最佳。

The field of bariatric surgery has been rapidly growing and evolving over the past several decades. During the period that obesity has become a worldwide epidemic, new interventions have been developed to combat this complex disorder. The development of new laparoscopic and minimally invasive treatments for medically-complicated obesity has made it essential that gastrointestinal physicians obtain a thorough understanding of past developments and possible future directions in bariatrics. New laparoscopic advancements provide patients and practitioners with a variety of options that have an improved safety profile and better efficacy without open, invasive surgery. The mechanisms of weight loss after bariatric surgery are complex and may in part be related to altered release of regulatory peptide hormones from the gut. Endoscopic techniques designed to mimic the effects of bariatric surgery and endolumenal inter-ventions performed entirely through the gastrointestinal tract offer potential advantages. Several of these new techniques have demonstrated promising, preliminary results. We outline herein historical and current trends in the development of bariatric surgery and its transition to safer and more minimally invasive procedures designed to induce weight loss.
