This paper presents an extension of the factor analysis model based on the normal mean-variance mixture of the Birnbaum-Saunders in the presence of nonresponses and missing *** model can be used as a powerful tool to model non-normal features observed from data such as strongly skewed and heavy-tailed *** data may occur due to operator error or incomplete data capturing therefore cannot be ignored in factor analysis *** implement an EM-type algorithm for maximum likelihood estimation and propose single imputation of possible missing values under a missing at random *** potential and applicability of our proposed method are illustrated through analyzing both simulated and real datasets.

Drug abuse by pregnant women is one of the significant problems for mothers and their *** study aimed to investigate the effects of maternal substance use disorder during pregnancy on neonatal developmental *** a case-control study,clinical records of 90 neonates diagnosed with neonatal abstinence syndrome who were admitted to NICU in one of four hospitals affiliated with Shahid-Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran,Iran between 2017 and 2020 were compared to 90 neonates without neonatal abstinence syndrome(control group).Demographic information and data for neonatal developmental characteristics and complications were extracted from the clinical records of this convenience *** for the type and method of maternal substance use during pregnancy were collected through a telephone call with *** data showed that the prevalence of drug addiction was 1.8%among pregnant women,and the most common drugs used by mothers were opium(n=45%,50%),amphetamine(n=30%,33%),and methadone(n=14%,16%).Neonates with abstinence syndrome had a higher prevalence of transient tachypnea of the newborn(TTN)(P=0.004),and a prevalence of being admitted to NICU(P=0.05)and for a longer duration(P<0.001).Their mothers had a higher prevalence of having pre-eclampsia(P=0.010).Using morphine *** showed no difference based on their effects on mothers and *** use during pregnancy increased the prevalence of pregnancy complications(pre-eclampsia)and neonatal complications(TTN and prevalence and duration of hospitalization).Therefore,planning for the development of health policies to raise awareness among women and more broadly,all members of the community,is important to prevent the tendency to engage in this potentially high-risk behavior.

Objective:To present an overview of the adverse effects of water pipe smoking on various aspects of reproduction and perinatal complications,covering all the most relevant studies,from descriptive findings to clinical ***:We reviewed the literature and included full publications in English provided by international biomedical databases,including PubMed,Science Direct,EBSCO,Scopus,and Google Scholar,and Cochrane Library over the last 38 years(May 1985 to June 2023).Search terms(Water pipe,Narghile,Shisha,Dokha,etc.,and Reproduction,Fertility,etc.)were adopted from Medical Subheading(MeSH)and Boolean operators were utilized to improve ***:133 Papers were identified in the initial search,of which 29 were excluded due to *** search overlap and irrelevant records by reviewing titles and abstracts reduced 42 papers.62 Full-publication articles met the inclusion *** summarized the effects of waterpipe smoke exposure on reproductive health based on three main categories:male and female fertility,fetal and neonatal outcomes,and pregnancy ***:Water pipe smoking has potential adverse effects on different aspects of human reproductive health,including semen parameters,male and female fertility,and fetal and neonatal health,and contributes to many maternal complications and morbidities.

Functional and structural characterization of Ebola virus glycoprotein （1976-2015） -- An in silico study

Ebola virus （EBOV） is the causative agent of a severe hemorrhagic fever disease associ- ated with high mortality rates in humans. This virus has five strains of which Zaire Ebola virus （ZEBOV） is the first and most important strain. It can be transmitted through contact with contaminated surfaces and objects. The genome of EBOV codes one non- structural and seven structural proteins consisting of two forms of glycoprotein （GP）： soluble glycoprotein （sGP） and GP （spike）. In this paper, we attempted to characterize and predict physicochemical properties, B-cell epitopes, mutation sites, phosphorylation sites, glycosylation sites, and different protein structures of EBOV GP to provide com- prehensive data about changes of this GP during a 40-years course （1976-2015）. GP sequences were obtained from NCBI gene bank from 1976-2015. Expasy＇sProtParam, PROTSCALE, immuneepitope, Bepipred, BcePred, ABCpred, VaxiJen, DISPHOS, Net- Phos, and numerous programs were used to predict and analyze all sequences. More variety of mutations were found in 2015 sequences and mutations were related to huge changes in B-cell epitopes, phosphorylation and glycosylation sites. In addition, our results determined different sites of disulfide bonds and an important mutation related to IgE epitope as well as four potent B-cell epitopes （380-387, 318-338, 405-438 and 434-475）. In this study, we suggested the effect of mutations on GP properties, six posi- tions for disulfide bonds and four phosphorylation sites for protein kinase C enzyme. Selected sequences were shown different sites for O-link and N-link glycosyl^tion. A mutation that changed GP to an allergen protein and has a significant role in vaccine designing as well as four potent B-cell epitopes in GP protein were found.

Study the effect of exercise on systolic pulmonary artery pressure in healthy subjects

Introduction: As no data is available concerning the cut-off value defining abnormal pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP) response in subjects of various ages, the aim of this study is to assess physiological PASP response to exercise in healthy individuals of various ages. Material and methods: One hundred and twenty three healthy volunteers, aged 30 to 70 years, underwent Doppler echocardiographic measurements at rest and after treadmill exercise test. Pulmonary artery systolic pressure was estimated at rest, and immediately after peak exercise using Bernoulli formula (four times tricuspid valve regurgitation velocity squared adding an estimated right atrial pressure). Results: Lower and upper limits of PASP during rest was 7 and 28 mmHg and after peak exercise was 14 and 48 mmHg respectively. After exercise, PASP increased from rest (14 ± 4 mmHg) to peak (25 ± 7 mmHg). Pulmonary artery systolic pressure during rest and peak exercise, increased with age, but has no correlation with body mass index or gender. Conclusion: Pulmonary artery systolic pressure at peak exercise can frequently reach values ≥ 30 mmHg in healthy individuals with good exercise capacity, especially in elderly individuals, which goes beyond pathologic definitions of pulmonary hypertension.

How Vaginal Infections Impact Women’s Everyday Life <br/>—Women’s Lived Experiences of Bacterial Vaginosis and Recurrent Vulvovaginal Candidiasis

Reoccurring symptoms and persistent problems that continue post treatment can be characteristic of the vaginal infections Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) and recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (RVVC). The purpose of this study was to describe women’s life experiences in managing the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis and Candida. Sixteen women were recruited and participated in an interview study when they contacted a Swedish gynecology clinic with vaginal complaints that ranged from and included abnormal discharge, irritation itching along with serious malodor. An interpretive phenomenological approach was used with an individual interview to get a more intimate understanding of the women experiencing these problems. The finding of this study shows that managing the recurrent symptoms of the infections remains to be a challenge for women as it has a clearly negative impact on the quality of their lives. Four themes developed: frustration and mood disorders, intimacy changes in the relationship, exposure, hope and relief. The women had high hopes of eliminating the symptoms within the six-month study period. The treatment program, with its well-developed guidelines and continuity of care within the context of the study greatly improved the quality of life of these women. Women had feelings of frustration and anxiety when nothing could cure their problem while they had also a great hope to get rid of the symptoms with a long striking treatment. Well-developed guidelines and continuity of care can help these women to have an improved quality of life.

Effect of Annealing Temperature on the Optical Properties of Palladium Thin Film

In this paper, the effect of annealing temperature on the optical properties of palladium thin films has been investigated. The Pd thin films with thickness of about 123 ? were deposited on glass substrates by electron beam coating method. Then the palladium thin films were annealed in air at 350℃, 450℃, 550℃ and 650℃ for 1h and then cold slowly. All the initial Pd films were found to have amorphous structure. Their optical properties were studied as function of annealing temperature using Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy. The direct band gaps in Pd films have been de- termined. Decreasing the values of the direct band gap shows also increasing the Pd crystallite nanostructure with increasing annealing temperature.

BACKGROUND There is recently a concern regarding the reinfection and reactivation of previously reCoVered coronavirus disease 2019(CoVID-19)*** To summarize the recent findings and reports of CoVID-19 reinfection in patients previously reCoVered from the *** This study was a systematic review of current evidence conducted in August *** authors studied the probable reinfection risk of novel coronavirus(CoVID-19).We performed a systematic search using the keywords in online *** investigation adheres to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA)checklist to ensure the reliability and validity of this study and *** We reviewed 31 *** studies described reCoVered patients with *** one study reported reinfected patients who *** 26 studies,there was no information about the status of the *** studies indicated that reinfection is not probable and that post-infection immunity is at least temporary and *** Based on our review,we concluded that a positive polymerase chain reaction retest could be due to several reasons and should not always be considered as reinfection or reactivation of the *** relevant studies in positive retest patients have shown relative and probably temporary immunity after the reCoVery of the disease.
