With this study,the hydrocarbon generation potential of Miocene aged coals around Arguvan-Parçikan in the northern district of Malatya province was evaluated with the aid of petrological and organic geochemical *** to organic petrography,coal quality data,and low thermal maturity,the Arguvan-Parçikan coals are of high-ash,high-sulfur subbituminous B/C *** organic fraction of the coals is mostly comprised of humic group macerals,with small percentages derived from the inertinite and liptinite *** mineral matter of the coals is comprised mainly of calcite and clay *** total organic carbon(TOC,wt%)values of the shale and coal samples are between 2.61 wt%and 43.02 wt%,and the hydrogen index values are between 73 and 229 mg HC/g ***(T_(max),PI),huminite/vitrinite reflectance(R_(o),%),and biomarker ratios CPI,Pr/Ph ratio,Ts/(Ts+Tm)ratio,C_(32) homohopane ratio(22S/22S+22R)and C_(29)ββ/(ββ+ααsterane ratio)indicate that the organic matter of the studied coals is thermally *** all these data are taken together,Miocene aged coals around Arguvan are suitable for hydrocarbon generation,especially gas,in terms of organic matter type(Type III and Type II/III mixed),organic matter amount(>10 wt%TOC),however,low liptinitic macerals(<15%–20%),low hydrogen index(<200 mg HC/g TOC)and low thermal maturity values inhibit the hyrocarbon generation.

CN Andromedae:a shallow contact binary with a possible tertiary component

In this study, new photometric observations of shallow contact binary CN Andromedae(CN And)were performed and multi-color(BV R) CCD light curves(LCs) were obtained. Simultaneous analysis of new LCs and published radial velocity(RV) data reveals that the system is an early contact binary in which both components have recently filled their inner Roche lobes. Asymmetric LCs were modeled by a dark spot on the primary component and a hot spot on the secondary component that probably resulted from magnetic activity and mass transfer, respectively. Modeling of LCs and RV data allows us to estimate the following absolute parameters: M1= 1.40 ± 0.02 M⊙, M2= 0.55 ± 0.01 M⊙, R1= 1.45 ± 0.02 R⊙and R2= 0.94 ± 0.02 R⊙. A decreasing orbital period with a rate of d P/dt =-1.5 × 10-7d yr-1can be seen as evidence that the system is evolving into a contact binary with higher contact degree. Cyclic oscillation of the O-C data was interpreted by the Applegate mechanism and light-time effect due to an unseen component around the close binary system. The hypothetical third component is probably a fully convective red dwarf star with a minimal mass of 0.1 M⊙. CN And is at the early phase of the contact stage of its evolution and is an interesting example for studying the formation and evolution of close binaries.

PIT tests are usually performed when a mass distribution of High Explosive(H.E) projectile fragments is required. This paper shows the underwater detonation effects of 60 mm, M90 H.E. mortar bomb filled with Comp. B on cylindrical concrete structure(concrete pipe closed at one end-similar to a PIT test)which is 2 m high(inner height) with inner diameter of also 2 m. Thickness of both wall and bottom of a pipe is 0.35 m. Detailed characteristics of concrete which is used for manufacturing of a pipe are specified. Mortar bomb is submerged directly in to the water(no free airspace around the bomb) with the nose pointing to the bottom of a pipe. Number and mass of fragments after detonation are presented by table and photographs. Fragments of dummy fuze, through which blasting cap was protruded, are collected and reassembled to form a shape of a fuze after detonation where expanding of fuze material due to a detonation products is visualized. After underwater detonation, detonation of the same mortar bomb is performed in an empty pipe and the effects of this kind of detonation are observed. Distance at which fragments generated from submerged mortar bomb will not reach concrete pipes wall is also determined.

Radioluminescence(RL)behaviour of erbium-doped yttria nanoparticles(Y2O_(3):Er^(3+)NPs)which were produced by sol-gel method was reported for future scintillator *** with dopant rates of 1 at%,5 at%,10 at%and 20 at%Er were produced and calcined at 800℃,and effect of increased calcination temperature(1100℃)on the RL behaviour was also reported.X-ray diffraction(XRD)results showed that all phosphors had the cubic Y2O_(3) bixbyite-type *** lattice parameters,crystallite sizes(CS),and lattice strain values were calculated by Cohen-Wagner(C-W)and Williamson-Hall(W-H)methods,***,the optimum solubility value of the Er^(3+)dopant ion in the Y2O_(3) host lattice was calculated to be approximately 4 at%according to Vegard’s law,which was experimentally obtained from the 5 at%Er^(3+)ion containing *** peak shifts in XRD patterns and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analyses confirmed that Er^(3+)dopant ions were successfully incorporated into the Y2O_(3) host ***-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM)results verified the average CS values and agglomerated NPs morphologies were *** electron microscopy(SEM)results showed the neck formation between the particles due to increased calcination *** a result of the RL measurements under a Cu KαX-ray radiation(wavelength,λ=0.154 nm)source with 50 kV and 10 mA beam current,it was determined that the highest RL emission belonged to 5 at%Er doped *** the RL emission spectrum,the emission peaks were observed in the wavelength ranges of 510-575 nm(2H11/2,4S3/2-4I15/2;green emission)and 645-690 nm(4F9/2-4I15/2;red emission).The emission peaks at 581,583,587,593,601,611 and 632 nm wavelengths were also *** was found that both dopant rate and calcination temperature affected the RL emission *** color shifted from red to green with increasing calcination temperature which was attributed to the increased crystallinit

The domain of generalized difference matrix B（r, s） in the classical spaces L∞, e, and co was recently studied by Kirisci and Basar in [16]. The main goal of this article is to introduce the paranormed sequence spaces L∞（B,p）, c（B,p）, and co（B,p）, which are more general and comprehensive than the corresponding consequences of the matrix domain of B（r, s）, as well as other studies in literature. Besides this, the alpha-, beta-, and gamma-duals of the spaces L∞ （B, p）, c（B, p）, and co （B, p） are computed and the bases of the spaces c（B, p） and co （B, p） are constructed. The final section of this article is devoted to the characterization of the classes （λ（B, p）： μ） and （μ：λ（B, p））, where λ ∈ {c, co, L∞ } and μ is any given sequence space. Additionally, the characterization of some other classes which are related to the space of Mmost convergent sequences is obtained by means of a given lemma.

We investigate the optical characteristic,transverse magnetic（TM） and transverse electric（TE） band of twodimensional（2 D） square lattice photonic crystal structure,which is composed of cylindrical air regions positioned at the corners of the square shaped dielectric *** obtain the wide photonic bandwidths between TM1–TM2 and TM3–TM4 *** to the results,we demonstrate the band gaps close to each other in the TM and TE frequencies for proposed *** resulting photonic gaps are formed to be about 8% at the higher frequencies of TE modes（TE4–TE5）and TM modes（TM7–TM8 and TM9–TM10）.In addition,we examine isotropically generated structures for light guiding properties and observe that the light is directed in a particular route without using any *** also investigate the self-collimation effect with the designed *** obtained results reveal the influences of the radius of cylindrical air holes and the angle between these air holes on absolute and partial photonic band ***,we observe the TM and TE band gaps that *** is thought that the obtained band overlap will provide an easy way to produce the photonic crystals in practical applications like photonic insensitive *** is also believed that these results can provide the photonic crystal structures to work as a beam deflecting and beam router in integrated optical circuit applications.

The use of fog computing in the Internet of Things(IoT)has emerged as a crucial solution,bringing cloud services closer to end users to process large amounts of data generated within the *** its advantages,the increasing task demands from IoT objects often overload fog devices with limited resources,resulting in system delays,high network usage,and increased energy *** of the major challenges in fog computing for IoT applications is the efficient deployment of services between fog *** address this challenge,we propose a novel Optimal Foraging Algorithm(OFA)for task placement on appropriate fog devices,taking into account the limited resources of each fog *** OFA algorithm optimizes task sharing between fog devices by evaluating incoming task requests based on their types and allocating the services to the most suitable fog *** our study,we compare the performance of the OFA algorithm with two other popular algorithms:Genetic Algorithm(GA)and Randomized Search Algorithm(RA).Through extensive simulation experiments,our findings demonstrate significant improvements achieved by the OFA ***,it leads to up to 39.06%reduction in energy consumption for the Elektroensefalografi(EEG)application,up to 25.86%decrease in CPU utilization for the Intelligent surveillance through distributed camera networks(DCNS)application,up to 57.94%reduction in network utilization,and up to 23.83%improvement in runtime,outperforming other *** a result,the proposed OFA algorithm enhances the system’s efficiency by effectively allocating incoming task requests to the appropriate fog devices,mitigating the challenges posed by resource limitations and contributing to a more optimized IoT ecosystem.

In this paper, a new three-phase grid-connected inverter system is proposed. The proposed system includes two inverters. The main inverter, which operates at a low switching frequency, transfers active power to the grid. The auxiliary inverter processes a very low power to compensate for the grid current ripple. Thus, no active power is processed by the auxiliary inverter. The goal is to produce a grid current with a low total harmonic distortion(THD) and to obtain the highest efficiency from the inverter system. The main inverter is controlled via a space-vector pulse-width modulation owing to its optimum switching pattern, and the auxiliary inverter is controlled via a hysteresis current-control technique owing to the technique's fast dynamic response. The proposed system is analyzed in terms of different DC-link voltage, switching frequency,and filter inductance values. The optimum system parameters are selected that provide a THD value of less than 5%.A prototype inverter system at a 10 kW output power has been implemented. The main inverter operates at a 3 kHz switching frequency, and the auxiliary inverter compensates for the grid-current ripple. In total, a THD of 4.33%and an efficiency of 97.86% are obtained using the proposed inverter system prototype.

Complications of intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide for macular edema and predictive factors for intraocular pressure elevation

AIM: To investigate the complications of intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide (IVTA) for the treatment of macular edema, and to determine the risk factors for intraocular pressure (IOP) elevation. METHODS: Charts of patients with macular edema secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO), diabetic retinopathy and uveitis who had received IVTA injections were reviewed to document its complications. IOP elevation was defined as a pressure of ≥24mmHg at some point during follow-up. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to characterize baseline risk factors for this elevation. RESULTS: The study included 111 eyes of 65 female and 46 male patients with a mean follow-up of (11.6±5.1) months. Of the 111 eyes, 52 (46.8%) had macular edema secondary to BRVO, 44 (39.6%) had clinically significant diabetic macular edema (CSDME) and 15 (13.5%) had non-infectious uveitis with macular edema. IOP was recorded ≥24mmHg in 38 eyes (34.2%) during the follow-up. Higher baseline IOP (P =0.022), younger age (P =0.003), and male gender (P = 0.014) were significant risk factors for IOP elevation after IVTA injection. Eyes with prior vitrectomy were less likely to have IOP elevation (P =0.054). Two eyes (5.2% of eyes with increased IOP) underwent trabeculectomy, and 9 eyes (16.3% of the phakic eyes) necessitated cataract surgery. Other complications included branch vein occlusion (1.8%), sterile endophthalmitis (0.9%) and pseudohypopyon (0.9%). CONCLUSION: IVTA has side effects with IOP elevation and cataract formation being the two most common. A subset of patients is more prone to developing increased IOP following IVTA, namely, younger male patients with higher baseline IOP.

From the unified statistical thermodynamics of quantum gases, the virial coefficients of ideal Bose and Fermi gases, trapped under generic power law potential are derived systematically. From the general result of virial coefficients, one can produce the known results in d = 3 and d = 2. But more importantly we found that, the virial coefficients of Bose and Fermi gases become identical(except the second virial coefficient, where the sign is different)when the gases are trapped under harmonic potential in d = 1. This result suggests the equivalence between Bose and Fermi gases established in d = 1(J. Stat. Phys. DOI 10.1007/s10955-015-1344-4). Also, it is found that the virial coefficients of two-dimensional free Bose(Fermi) gas are equal to the virial coefficients of one-dimensional harmonically trapped Bose(Fermi) gas.
