Eval.ation of assessment of the metal processes governing the metals distribution in soil and dust samples is very significant and protects the health of human and ecological system. Recently, special attention has given to the assessment of metals pollution impact on soil and dust within industrial areas. This study aims to assess the metal contamination levels in the topsoil and street dust around the cement factory in Qadissiya area, southern Jordan. The levels of seven metals (namely Fe, Zn, Cu, Pb, Cr, Cd, and mn) were analyzed using Flame Atomic Absorption Spec-trophotometer (FAAS) to monitor, evaluate, and to compare topsoil and road dust pollution values of metals of the different types of urban area. The physicochemical parameters which believed to affect the mobility of metals in the soil of the study area were determined such as pH, EC, TOm, CaCO3 and CEC. The levels of metal in soil samples are greater on the surface but decrease in the lower part as a result of the basic nature of soil. The mean values of the metals in soil can be arranged in the following order: Zn > Pb > mn > Fe > Cu > Cr > Cd. The relatively high concentration of metals in the soil sample was attributed to anthropogenic activities such as traffic emissions, cement factory and agricultural activities. Correlation coefficient analysis and the spatial distribution of indices and the results of statistical analysis indicate three groups of metals: Fe and mn result by natural origin, Zn, Pb, Cu and Zn result by anthropogenic origin (mainly motor vehicle traffic and abrasion of tires) while Cd is mixed origin. The higher content level values of metals of anthropogenic source in soil samples indicate that it is a source of contamination of air in the studied area. .

The present study is a systematic effort to investigate the structure-sensitive magnetic parameters of Ce^(3+) substituted Ba-Sr hexaferrite nanocrystals chemically formulated as Ba_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)Ce_(x)Fe_(12-x)O_(19) where x=0.0-0.2 with Δx=*** hexaferrite powders were prepared using the sol-gel self-ignition route and structurally characterized by means of powder X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared *** creation of the m-type hexaferrite phase within the synthesized samples was revealed from the Rietveld refinement of the X-ray *** occurrence of a secondary phase of CeO_(2) was revealed within the hexaferrites for the substitution,x> *** refined X-ray diffraction data were utilized to compute the lattice parameters,X-ray density,and lattice parameter *** crystal structure plotted from the refined XRD data reveals the occupancy of the ions at different lattice *** XPS data of the hexaferrite were analyzed to confirm the oxidation states of the constituent *** nanocrystalline nature of the hexaferrites was revealed from the crystallite sizes calculated using Scherer's *** analysis of FTIR spectra confirms that only a fraction of Ce^(3+)accommodated in the lattice and the remaining Ce content reside in the form of the CeO_(2) *** morphology of the hexaferrites was analyzed from the FESEm profiles of the ferrite *** magnetic behavior study was performed by analyzing the Curie temperature,hysteresis loops,and hyperfine interactions by means of susceptibility,V.S.m,and mossbauer spectroscopy,*** hexaferrites with increasing coercivity,decreasing saturation magnetization,and decreasing Curie temperature are reported in the *** substituted Ce^(3+)ions inhibit the grain growth and create lattice imperfections giving rise to hexaferrites with tuned magnetic parameters suitable for different applications.

Inspired by the anti-pancreatic promising results of our novel aminated cyclopropylmethylphosphonate compounds, an in vitro anti-prostate cancer activity exploration of these compounds was carried out on human prostate cancer cell line PC-3, and showed potent inhibiting activity at low micromolar concentrations (with an IC50 of approximately 45 μm).

This paper examines the relationship between fatal road traffic accidents and potential predictors using multilayer perceptron artificial neural network (mLANN) models. The initial analysis employed twelve potential predictors, including traffic volume, prevailing weather conditions, roadway characteristics and features, drivers’ age and gender, and number of lanes. Based on the output of the model and the variables’ importance factors, seven significant variables are identified and used for further analysis to improve the performance of models. The model is optimized by systematically changing the parameters, including the number of hidden layers and the activation function of both the hidden and output layers. The performances of the mLANN models are evaluated using the percentage of the achieved accuracy, R-squared, and Sum of Square Error (SSE) functions.

The effects of shot peening on the mechanical properties of steel 1070 were studied to enhance the material’s properties and surface *** this study,pressure and exposure time were the main parameters governing surface hardness and surface *** optimal time duration and pressure were determined after several experimental *** in hardness and surface roughness were monitored as the pressure of the shot and the exposure time were ***,the microstructure was evaluated by scanning electron microscopy(SEm)and the images were enhanced by image processing techniques to evaluate the surface *** charts were constructed to estimate the effects of pressure and time on both surface hardness and surface *** novelty of this study is the concentration on engine blades which are frequently used in aircrafts to determine the optimal time–pressure combination for shot peening to achieve suitable mechanical and surface *** results show that shot peening pressure(up to 482.6 kPa for 7 min)has positive effect on enhancing the surface and mechanical properties for steel 1070 blades;however,an increase in either pressure or time above that level adversely affected both surface hardness and surface roughness.

In this paper, a logistical regression statistical analysis (LR) is presented for a set of variables used in experimental measurements in reversed field pinch (RFP) machines, commonly known as “slinky mode” (Sm), observed to travel around the torus in madison Symmetric Torus (mST). The LR analysis is used to utilize the modified Sine-Gordon dynamic equation model to predict with high confidence whether the slinky mode will lock or not lock when compared to the experimentally measured motion of the slinky mode. It is observed that under certain conditions, the slinky mode “locks” at or near the intersection of poloidal and/or toroidal gaps in mST. However, locked mode cease to travel around the torus;while unlocked mode keeps traveling without a change in the energy, making it hard to determine an exact set of conditions to predict locking/unlocking behaviour. The significant key model parameters determined by LR analysis are shown to improve the Sine-Gordon model’s ability to determine the locking/unlocking of magnetohydrodyamic (mHD) modes. The LR analysis of measured variables provides high confidence in anticipating locking versus unlocking of slinky mode proven by relational comparisons between simulations and the experimentally measured motion of the slinky mode in mST.

Parabens are antimicrobial preservatives with extensive applications in cosmetics,toiletries,pharmaceuticals,and *** the legitimate concerns relating to their potential to disrupt multiple endocrine functions,it becomes imperative to prioritize the development of innovative bioanalytical techniques for effectively monitoring their presence in biological *** this study,an efficient solvent bar microextraction(SBmE)was established,utilizing new hydrophobic deep eutectic solvents(DEs)to determine methylparaben and propylparaben in urine and plasma *** DEs comprising menthol and tris(2-ethylhexyl)phosphate(m-TEHP)at various molar ratios were synthesized for the first time to enhance the extraction capacity and promote the eco-friendliness of the DE used as an extraction ***-transform infrared(FT-IR)and proton nuclear magnetic resonance(1H NmR)spectroscopies were employed to confirm and investigate the properties of the successful synthesis(m-TEHP)DE at a molar ratio of 1:*** synthesized DE exhibits low microbial toxicity and can be considered an eco-friendly solvent for ***,quantum-chemical calculations were utilized to predict synthesized DE's structure and interaction energy with selected *** influential operational factors of DE-SBmE on the extraction efficiency(EE%)of both parabens were evaluated using response surface methodology based on central composite design,and a total of 30 extraction tests were conducted to determine the optimal *** optimized DE-SBmE,in combination with HPLC-DAD,exhibited low detection limits(0.54–0.91μg L^(−1)),excellent linearity(R^(2)≥0.9993),precise results(RSDs≤7.6%),satisfactory recoveries(92–97%)and negligible matrix ***,it had remarkable effectiveness and applicability in determining selected parabens in real urine and plasma samples.
