Objective Nephrolithiasis is one of the most common disorders of the urinary tract. The aim of this study was to examine a possible relationship between DNase Ⅰ/Ⅱ activity and E3 SUMO-protein ligase NSE2 in the sera of nephrolithiasis patients to evaluate the possibility of a new biomarker for evaluating kidney damage. Methods Sixty nephrolithiasis patients and 50 control patients were enrolled in a case-control study. Their blood urea, creatinine, protein levels and DNase Ⅰ/Ⅱ activity levels were measured by spectrometry. Serum NSMCE2 levels were measured by ELISA. Blood was collected from patients of the government health clinics in Kuantan-Pahang and fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Results The result indicated that mean levels of sera NSMCE2 have a significantly increase（P〈0.01） in patients compared to control group. Compared with control subjects, activities and specific activities of serum DNase Ⅰ and Ⅱ were significantly elevated in nephrolithiasis patients（P〈0.01）. Conclusion This study suggests that an increase in serum concentrations of DNase Ⅰ/Ⅱ and E3 SUMO-protein ligase NSE2 level can be used as indicators for the diagnosis of kidney injury in patients with nephrolithiasis.

Objective: To verify possible associations between adenosine aminohydrolase(ADA) and AMP-aminohydrolase(AMPDA) to E3 SUMO-protein ligase NSE2(NSMCE2) in patients with renal stones. And to isolate, purify and characterize ADA in patients with renal stones and healthy ***: A total of 60 renal stones patients and 50 control were enrolled in a case-control study. The blood urea, creatinine, uric acid, protein, albumin, ADA and AMPDA were measured by colorimetric tests. The serum NSMCE2 was measured by ***: Serum ADA, AMPDA and specii c activity of enzymes showed signii cant decrease(P < 0.05) in patients with renal stones compared to control group, mean levels of sera NSMCE2 and uric acid had a signii cant increase(P < 0.01 and P < 0.05, respectively) in patients compared to control ***: The present study suggests that ADA, AMP deaminase and NSMCE2 can be used as a indicator to monitor the DNA damage and inl ammation disorders in the patients with kidney stones.

Objective: To verify possible relations between 5'-nucleotidase, xanthine oxidase to E3 small ubiquitin-like modifier-protein ligase non structural maintenance of chromosomes elements 2 in sera patients with kidney stones and to evaluate the possibility of a new biomarker for the evaluation of kidney damage. Methods: A sixty patients with known kidney stones who appeared the government health clinics in Kuantan–Pahang and fifty apparently healthy were taken as control group. The 5'-nucleotidase,xanthine oxidase and other biochemical parameters were measured by colorimetric tests. The serum NSMCE2 were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent ***: The mean serum xanthine oxidase [(39.98±19.70) IU/L] and ecto-5'-nucleotidase activity(40.03±9.53 IU/L) were significantly higher than the controls' levels of(18.04 ±6.26) and(16.06 ±4.61) IU/L respectively. There were 85.00% and 83.33%, of patients with kidney stones who had abnormal ecto-5'-nucleotidase activity and uric acid respectively while xanthine oxidase activity was less sensitive 58.33%.Conclusions: The present study suggests that the increase in serum of xanthine oxidase,ecto-5'-nucleotidase activities E3 small ubiquitin-like modifier-protein ligase NSE2 concentration can be used as biomarkers for diagnosis of kidney damage in patients with kidney stone,also in developments of change DNA damage and inflammation disorders in these patients.

Objective: To prove probable relations between serum E3 SUMO-protein ligase NSE2(NSMCE2) concentration, peroxynitrite related to oxidative stress in nephrolithiasis ***: A total of 60 patients with nephrolithiasis and 50 healthy volunteers were involved in this study. Colorimetric method was used to detect blood urea, creatinine, uric acid, protein, albumin, total antioxidant status, total oxidant status, peroxynitrite, nitric oxide and oxidative stress index. Glutathione, NSMCE2 and superoxide dismutase were measured by ***: A significant increase in level of peroxynitrite, total oxidant status, NSMCE2 and oxidative stress index in patients was observed, while total antioxidant status and glutathione were significantly ***: The study concluded that serum NSMCE2 significantly correlated with peroxynitrite and oxidative stress in patients with nephrolithiasis.

Objective:To study the application of the Montessori education method in cognitive training in patients with Alzheimer’s disease(AD).Methods:40 cases of senile dementia patients who were admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected and randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group according to the single and double number table method,with 20 cases in each *** intervention group used the Montessori education method,the principle of which was to implement individualized health interventions based on the individual conditions of the patients,for a period of 6 months;the control group was given conventional treatment and nursing of the *** Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)was used to compare the effects of the two groups of patients before and after health intervention and conduct statistical ***:The score of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group,and there was a statistical difference between the two(P<0.05).Conclusion:Implementing the Montessori education method for diagnosed Alzheimer’s patients can effectively improve their cognitive function and delay the progress of further dementia.

Effect of Processing Conditions in the Preparation of PP-Ternary Nanocomposite Using MWCNT as Secondary Filler

The present paper investigates the behavior of experimental polypropylene ternary nanocomposites produced in the laboratory under different process conditions using multiwall carbon nanotube as secondary filler. Full factorial experimental design was explored to study the effect of temperature, mixing speed and carbon nanotube (CNT) loading on the morphological and mechanical features of the ternary nanocomposites following the determination of maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene (MAgPP) percentage required for the intermediate composite. Tensile properties and morphological characterization were studied using universal tensile machine (UTM) and scanning elecrtron microscope (SEM) machines respectively. The results revealed that process temperature and CNT loading influences both the morphological and mechanical properties of polypropylene ternary nanocomposites, whereas, the mixing speed has little effect on these properties. Specifically, CNT loading in amount less than 1% showed better tensile strength and stiffness while the strength falls off at 1% CNT loading. Morphological studies indicate better dispersion of CNT in the binary composite system at process temperature of 170 °C and formation of agglomerates at 250 °C. The present study suggests that CNT loading and process temperature lower than 1% and 200 °C respectively produces polypropylene ternary nanocomposites with better mechanical properties and enhanced dispersion of the CNT in the composite system at a moderate mixing speed slightly above 100 rpm.

In Inderasabah(southeast Sabah),tri-spine horseshoe crab Tachypleus tridentatus was observed for their locomotion activity using data loggers from September to November in 2015.A female with acceleration and depth-temperature loggers and five males with acceleration loggers were recaptured between 10 and 49 days after their *** the record of 194 activity days that involve all six ***,four horseshoe crabs,including the female,were active throughout the 24.0 h cycle,whereas the activity of the remaining two males was consistent with the 12.4 h *** the 40-day recording,three horseshoe crabs,including the female,were primarily active around the new moon and full moon,but they were dormant around the first and third quarter moon *** female spent much time in shallow shores(depth<0.3 m)during the new moon and full *** result indicated that the female attempted to spawn in a minimum of three spring tide periods while lingering in the ***,after spawning,the female spent time foraging in shallow water(depth 0.3–18 m).As for the two male individuals,their activity was consistent with semi-lunar ***,both of them were in *** addition,a solitary male individual was active only during the first and third quarter moon *** activity recording,all the *** in Inderasabah was active during daytime and *** result was contrary to *** activity cycles in western Japan,where the species was found to be primarily ***,the regional differences in activity cycles for *** were related to their population adaptation toward water temperature,depth,and prey-searching periods.

Biogenic synthesis of silver nanoparticles(b-AgNPs)utilising plant extract has gained the interest of researchers due to the environmentally friendly and cost-effective ***,the extent of its application in the biomedical field remains *** study evaluates the antibacterial,cytocompatibility,and wound healing activities of synthesised AgNPs using Persicaria odorata leaves extract(PO-AgNPs).The formation of PO-AgNPs was observed by visual colour changes and verified by ultraviolet-visible(UV–vis)spectrophotometer,which revealed a surface plasmon resonance(SPR)at around 440 nm,and further confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD).Characterisation using Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy showed biomolecules from the leaves extract presented together on *** emission scanning electron microscope(FESEM)and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HR-TEM)images revealed PO-AgNPs nanospheres with diameters of 11±3 *** diffusion test(DDT)and minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)analysis resulted in a dose-dependent inhibition of PO-AgNPs against tested Staphylococcus epidermidis and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA).These results were further corroborated by time-kill kinetic assay which revealed that PO-AgNPs were bactericidal against both strains 24 h *** and in vitro wound healing evaluation against normal human fibroblast cells,HSF 1184 inferred that PO-AgNPs are non-toxic to normal cells and able to enhance cell migration as compared to the non-treated ***,PO-AgNPs are biocompatible and possess antibacterial and wound healing capabilities that are useful in biomedical applications.
