Interaction of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide with drug in aqueous/electrolyte solution:A combined conductometric and molecular dynamics method study

Interaction between beta-lactum antibiotic drug ciprofloxacin hydrochloride(CFH)and cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB)was performed conductometrically in aqueous as well as in the occurrence of different salts(NaCl,KCl as well as NH_4Cl)over the temperature range of 298.15–323.15 K at the regular interval of 5 *** drug has been suggested for the treatment of bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections and acute sinusitis.A clear critical micelle concentration(CMC)was obtained for pure CTAB as well as(CFH+CTAB)mixed *** decrease in CMC values of CTAB caused by the addition of CFH reveals the existence of the interaction between the components and therefore it is the indication of micelle formation at lower concentration of CTAB and their CMC values further decrease in attendance of salts.A nonlinear behavior in the CMC versus T plot was observed in all the *** ΔG_m^0 values are found to be negative in present study systems demonstrated the stability of the *** values of ΔH_m^0 and ΔS_m^0 reveal the existence of hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions between CFH and *** thermodynamic properties of transfer for the micellization were also evaluated and discussed in *** dynamic simulation disclosed that environment of water and salts have impact on the hydrophobic interaction between CFH and *** water and salts,CTAB adopts spherical micelle in which charged hydrophilic groups are interacted with waters whereas hydrophobic tails form the core of the *** hydrophobic core region is highly conserved and *** addition,micelle formation is more favorable in aqueous Na Cl solution than other solutions.

The effects of two different heat-treatment atmospheres,nitrogen atmosphere and reducing nitrogen atmosphere with carbon,on the properties of Y2O3-doped aluminum nitride（AlN） ceramics were *** AlN powder as a raw material was synthesized by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis（SHS） and compacts were fabricated by employing powder injection molding *** polymer-wax binder consisted of 60 wt.% paraffin wax（PW）,35 wt.% polypropylene（PP）,and 5 wt.% stearic acid（SA）.After the removal of binder,specimens were sintered at 1850°С in nitrogen atmosphere under atmospheric *** improve the thermal conductivity,sintered samples were *** result reveals that the heat-treatment atmosphere has significant effect on the properties and secondary phase of AlN *** thermal conductivity and density of AlN ceramics reheated in nitrogen gas are 180 W·m^-1·K^-1 and 3.28 g·cm^-3 and the secondary phase is yttrium *** the sample reheated in reducing nitrogen atmosphere with carbon,the thermal conductivity and density are 173 W·m^-1·K^-1 and 3.23 g·cm^-3,respectively,and the secondary phase is YN.

Male and Female Hypogonadisms: Etiological, Metabolic and Osteodensitometric Aspects

Introduction: Studies showed a high prevalence of metabolic abnormalities including dyslipidemia, type 2 diabetes in cases of low testosterone in men and which are associated with increased cardiovascular risk. Hypogonadism represents the second cause of endocrine osteoporosis. Objectives: The objectives of our work were: to determine the main causes of hypogonadism in women and men;to assess the frequency of metabolic and osteosdensitometric abnormalities in the hypogonadal population. Patients and methods: A retrospective descriptive study was carried out over 7 years on 120 patients, hospitalized in the Endocrinology department of the Hassan II University Hospital of Fez-Morocco for hypogonadism. The patients selected were those who had symptoms of hypogonadism confirmed in men by: low total testosterone for Tanner stage in adolescents, ng/ml or lower limit of normal for adults;in women, hypoestrogenia 30 pg/l. Gonadotropin dosage, karyotype, pelvic or testicular ultrasound and pituitary MRI, for etiological diagnosis, were performed. Bone densitometry was performed for bone impact and lipid profile for metabolic profile. Results: Out of 120 patients, there were 77 women and 43 men. The average age was 31.51 years. In men, the main causes were central hypogonadism in 67.4% and primary testicular failure in 32.6%. In women, central hypogonadism was also the most common cause noted in 63.7% and premature ovarian failure was observed in 36.4%. HypoHDL was significantly more frequent p (0.005) in women, osteopenia and osteoporosis were significantly more frequent in women than in men p (0.046). Conclusion: Central causes represent the most common etiology of hypogonadism in both sexes;abnormalities of bone mineralization and metabolic disorders were predominant in women.

We consider a nonlocal boundary value problem for a viscoelastic equation with a Bessel operator and a weighted integral condition and we prove a general decay *** also give an example to show that our general result gives the optimal decay rate for ceratin polynomially decaying relaxation *** result improves some other results in the literature.

Effects of outdoor shared spaces on social interaction in a housing estate in Algeria

This study aims to identify how the characteristics of shared outdoor spaces in housing estates influence residents to interact with one another. The study specificalty focuses on a housing project catted la cite des 1000 logts, which is situated in a zone d＇habitat urbaine nouvelle in Biskra, a city in South Algeria. The investigation draws on two sources of information, observations of the ways in which the residents use their neighborhood spaces and a questionnaire survey with residents about the perceived adequacy of these spaces for social interaction. Data for the survey was collected from the owners of fiats in the apartment blocks surrounding the open spaces. Housing samples were taken from a total of 1000 housing units identified within the study area. Twenty five percent （25%） of the total housing units were selected. Out of the 250 questionnaires administered to household-heads who were the respondents, only 230 were subsecluently retrieved for data anatysis. Results showed that the high degree of ＂openness＂ of la cite des 1000 logts and the poor quatity of communal outdoor spaces in the area discourage art forms of spatial use and reduce these outdoor spaces to transit areas. Furthermore, findings indicated that the layout of buildings and the quality of common outdoor spaces in residential neighborhoods substantially affect the use of these spaces and the social interaction among residents.

Impact of urban upgrading on perceptions of safety in informal settlements： Case study of Bouakal, Batna

This paper explores how modifications of urban space in informal settlements influence residents＇ quality of life and perceptions of safety. This is a case study of Bouakal, the oldest informal district in Batna, a middle city in Algeria. This paper examines the effects of urban improvement practices in Bouakal by exploring two questions： In what ways did interventions in this informal settlement affect the quality of life for the residents？ How do these effects correlate with changes in the perception of safety in this area？ The survey involved 141 residents from Bouakal, and local residents were selected to collect the levels of perceived safety. This paper concludes that urban upgrading has improved the quality of tile and has a positive effect on the perception of safety in the settlement.

Study of pure and semileptonic decays of D_s meson within R-parity violating supersymmetric model

We present the comaprative study of semileptonic and leptonic decays of Ds, D±and D0meson（D →M l＋-αl-β, D → l＋αlβ, D → l＋αvα;α,β=e,μ） within the framework of R-parity violating the（ Rp） Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model（MSSM）. The comparison shows that combination and product couplings,（λβiα λ＊ ij qor λβqkλ＊αj k）contribution to the branching fractions of the said processes（under consideration） is consistent with or comparable to the experimental measurements in most of the cases. However, some cases exist where these contributions are highly suppressed. We identify such cases in our analysis and single out the important ones suitable for exploring in the future and current experiments.

Kinetic degradation of amoxicillin by using the electro-Fenton process in the presence of a graphite rods from used batteries

This study reports the removal of amoxicillin(AMX)in aqueous media using the electroFenton process in the presence of a graphite cathode recovered from used *** impact of the relevant parameters on the electroFenton process,namely the applied current intensity,the temperature,the initial concentration of AMX and the initial concentration of ferrous ions were *** results showed that the optimal values were:I=600 mA,T=25℃,[AMX]_(0)=0.082 mmol·L^( 1) and[Fe^(2+)]=1 mmol·L^(1),leading to 95%degradation and 74%*** model parameters of AMX mineralization were determined using nonlinear methods,showing that it follows a pseudosecondorder *** Energy consumption(EC)calculated under the optimal values was found to be 0.79 kWhg 1,which was of the same order of magnitude of those reported in other findings;while it is noteworthy that the electrodes used in our study are of a lower cost.

Iron supplementation for non-anaemic pregnant women and the incidence of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy:A systematic review and meta-analysis

Objective:To investigate effect of iron supplementation on the risk of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy in non-anaemic pregnant ***:A literature search was conducted using three categories of terms with its synonyms or related words:"iron","supplement",“hypertensive disorders in pregnancy”through MEDLINE(OVID),CINAHL,PubMed,Cochrane Library,Scopus,Web of Science,ICTRP,and ***,and manual search of references was used in seven potential *** inclusion criteria were randomized control trials(RCTs),published in English,full-text available,having healthy pregnant women without anaemia for study participants,and having hypertensive disorders in pregnancy at the end of pregnancy as the *** risk of bias assessment tool was used for quality ***-analysis was conducted by calculating the fixed and random effects of the odds ratio(OR)for iron supplementation among non-anaemic pregnant women compared with the incidence of hypertensive disorders in *** range of the study’s estimation accuracy was reflected by a 95%confidence interval(CI).Results:Four RCTs were included in the *** pooled results showed that iron supplementation possibly had no effect on the incidence of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy(OR 0.93,95%CI 0.81-1.07;P=0.30),gestational hypertension(OR 1.37,95%CI 0.69-2.73;P=0.36)as well as on the development of preeclampsia(OR 1.45,95%CI 0.71-2.97;P=0.31).Conclusions:Iron supplementation has no effect on the incidence of hypertension in non-anaemic pregnant *** general,there is a lack of evidence for the association between iron supplementation and the incidence of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy among non-anaemic pregnant women,and further studies are needed.

Effect of sintering temperature on microstructure and nonlinear electrical characteristics of ZnO varistor

The nonlinear properties of ZBMCCS-based varistors,which are composed of ZnO-Bi_(2)O_(3)-MnO_(2)-Cr_(2)O_(3)-Sb_(2)O_(3)-Co_(3)O_(4) and SiO_(2) are studied inrelation to sintering temperature,in the range of 1280–1350℃.The samples are investigated for grain morphology by using scanning electron microscope(SEM).These samples were examined by using X-ray diffraction patterns(XRD)and DC electrical measurements.X-ray diffraction analysis of the samples show the presence of ZnO,Zn_(2)SiO_(4) willemite phase and Co_(2.33)Sb_(0.67)O_(4) spinel *** average grain size of ZnO increased as the sintering temperature increased from 2.57 to 6.84*** the examined temperature range,the breakdown field decreased from 2992 to 127 V/cm with the increase of sintering *** system gives a relatively high nonlinearity coefficientα=33.61(at a sintering temperature of 1280℃)with a low leakage current of 0.21 mA/cm^(2).
