As the world witnesses a continual increase in the global energy demand,the task of meeting this demand is becoming more difficult due to the limitation in fuel resources as well as the greenhouse gases emitted which accelerate the climate *** a result,introducing a policy that promotes renewable energy(RE)generation and integration is inevitable for sustainable *** this endeavor,electrification of the transport sector rises as key point in reducing the accelerating environment degradation,by the deployment of new type of vehicles referred to as PHEv(plug-in hybrid electric vehicle).Besides being able to use two kinds of drives(the conventional internal combustion engine and the electric one)to increase the total efficiency,they come with a grid connection and interaction capability known as the vehicle-to-grid(v2G)that can play a supporting role for the whole power system by providing many ancillary services such as energy storage mean and power quality ***,all these advantages do not come *** uncontrolled large scale Ev integration may present a real challenge and source of possible failure and instability for the *** this work the large scale integration impact of Evs will be investigated in *** results of power flow analysis and the dynamic response of the grid parameters variation are presented,taking the IEEE 14 bus system as a test grid system.

Taxpayers Fraudulent Behavior Modeling The Use of Datamining in Fiscal Fraud Detecting Moroccan Case

The fraudulent behavior of taxpayers impacts negatively the resources available to finance public services. It creates distortions of competition and inequality, harming honest taxpayers. Such behavior requires the government intervention to bring order and establish a fiscal justice. This study emphasizes the determination of the interactions linking taxpayers with tax authorities. We try to see how fiscal audit can influence taxpayers’ fraudulent behavior. First of all, we present a theoretical study of a model pre established by other authors. We have released some conditions of this model and we have introduced a new parameter reflecting the efficiency of tax control;we found that the efficiency of a fiscal control have an important effect on these interactions. Basing on the fact that the detection of fraudulent taxpayers is the most difficult step in fiscal control, We established a new approach using DATA MINING process in order to improve fiscal control efficiency. We found results that reflect fairly the conduct of taxpayers that we have tested based on actual statistics. The results are reliable.

Recurrent cyclops lesion after primary resection of fibroreactive nodule following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction

In this case report featured in World Journal of Orthopedics,Kelmer et al describe a rare finding of a 28-year-old female patient who presented with a recurrent fibroreactive nodule 7 months following the resection of a primary cyclops lesion,suggesting recurrent cyclops *** patient had undergone an initial anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction for a non-contact right knee injury and reported successful *** years later,the patient sustained a repeat right knee injury followed by a positive McMurray test and acute pain with terminal *** synovectomy confirmed magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)finding of a cyclops lesion,which was surgically *** months postoperatively,the patient reported stiffness and difficulty with terminal *** MRI indicated a recurrent cyclops lesion,which was surgically *** resection of the second lesion,the patient underwent physical therapy and achieved full range of motion,maintaining complete recovery 19 months *** cyclops lesions have rarely been reported in the literature,and this article is novel in its report of recurrent cyclops syndrome following a bone-patellar tendon-bone *** presentation of this unusual finding exposes a need for further investigation of cyclops lesion pathology,which will aid its prevention and treatment.

We read with great interest the editorial article by Meshikhes AWN published in issue 25 of World J Gastroenterol *** article described the advantages of emergency laparoscopic appendectomy compared with interval appendectomy as a new safe treatment modality for the appendiceal *** author concluded that the emergency laparoscopic appendectomy was a safe treatment modality for the appendiceal mass,and might prove to be more cost-effective than conservative treatment,with no need for interval ***,we would like to highlight certain issues regarding the possibility of percutaneous catheter drainage to successfully treat the appendiceal mass,with no need for appendectomy,too.

In vitro and in vivo effects of ferulic acid on gastrointestinal motility:Inhibition of cisplatin-induced delay in gastric emptying in rats

AIM: To study the effects of ferulic acid on gastrointe-stinal motility both in vitro and in ***: Ferulic acid induced concentration-dependent stimulation of the basal tone of isolated guinea pig ileum (2-20 μmol/L) and isolated rat fundus (0.05-0.4 mmol/L). RESULTS: Ferulic acid significantly accelerated the gastrointestinal transit and gastric emptying in rats in a dose-dependent manner (50-200 mg/kg, po). Cisplatin (2.5-20 mg/kg, ip) induced a dose-dependent delay in gastric emptying in rats. Pretreatment with ferulic acid dose-dependently, significantly reversed the cisplatin-induced delay in gastric emptying. CONCLUSION: The endogenous prostaglandins (PGs) are involved in mediating the stimulant effects of ferulic acid. This effect of dietary ferulic acid may help improve other accompanying gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal discomfort and also may protect against emesis induced by cytotoxic drugs.

Magnetic resonance enterography in Crohn’s disease: Standard and advanced techniques

Crohn's disease (CD) is a chronic autoimmune disorder that affects mainly young people. The clinical management is based on the Crohn's Disease Activity Index and especially on biologic parameters with or without additional endoscopic and imaging procedures, such as barium and computed tomography examinations. Recently, magnetic resonance (MR) imaging has been a promising diagnostic radiologic technique with lack of ionizing radiation, enabling superior tissue contrast resolution due to new pulse-sequence developments. Therefore, MR enterography has the potential to become the modality of choice for imaging the small bowel in CD patients.

validation of prognostic indices in Egyptian Budd-Chiari syndrome patients: A single-center study

AIMTo compare predictive ability of Budd-Chiari syndrome (BCS) prognostic indices (PIs) for one-year survival and Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) *** retrospective study enrolled 194 Egyptian patients with primary BCS who presented to the Budd-Chiari Study Group of Ain Shams University Hospital. Calculation of the available PIs was performed using Child-Pugh and model for end-stage liver disease scores, BCS-specific PIs (Clichy, New Clichy and Rotterdam) for all patients, and BCS-TIPS PI only for patients who underwent TIPS. The overall one-year survival rate and the one-year shunt patency rate for TIPS were *** overall one-year survival rate was 69.6%, and the New Clichy PI revealed the best validity for its prediction at a cut-off value of 3.75, with sensitivity and specificity of 78% and 73.3%, respectively [area under receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) = 0.806]. The one-year survival rate post-TIPS was 89.7%, and the BCS-TIPS score demonstrated validity for its prediction at a cut-off value of 3.92 (sensitivity and specificity were 71.4% and 64.5%, respectively) (AUC = 0.715). Logistic regression analysis revealed that the New Clichy PI (P = 0.030), high serum total bilirubin (P = 0.047) and low albumin (P validity for its *** New Clichy score could independently predict the one-year survival in Egyptian BCS patients.

Outcomes in hepatic resectional surgery(HRS) have improved as a result of advances in the understanding of hepatic anatomy,improved surgical techniques, and enhanced peri-operative *** are generally cared for in specialist higher-level ward settings with multidisciplinary input during the initial post-operative period,however,greater acceptance and understanding of HRS has meant that care is transferred,usually after 24-48 h,to a standard ward *** trainees will be presented with such patients either electively as part of a hepatobiliary firm or whilst covering the service on-call,and it is therefore important to acknowledge the key points in managing HRS *** the applied anatomy of the liver is the key to determining the extent of resection to be ***,enhanced patient pathways exist in the post-operative setting requiring focus on the delivery of high quality analgesia,careful fluid balance,nutrition and *** can occur including liver,renal and respiratory failure,hemorrhage,and sepsis,all of which require prompt recognition and *** provide an overview of the relevant terminology applied to hepatic surgery,an approach to the post-operative management,and an aid to developing an awareness of complications so as to facilitate better confidence in this complex subgroup of general surgical patients.

Seasonal Effect on Biomarkers of Exposure to Petroleum Hydrocarbons in the Coasts of North Western Suez Gulf,Egypt

Petroleum hydrocarbons of surface water were collected from eight loca-tions of from the coasts of north western Suez Gulf,*** extracted petroleum hydrocarbons were determined by gas chromatography-flame ionization detector and quantified by integrating the areas of both the resolved and unresolved *** results confirm that the con-centration is relatively higher than the recommended in the regulations of the Egyptian low of Environment of No.4/1994 of petroleum *** various *** dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons ranged from 5.639 to 74.8 and 1.868 to 65.698 mg/ml for summer and winter sea-sons,*** indicates that chronic oil pollution,in addition to hydrocarbon concentrations,the diagnostic indices used shows that the hydrocarbons in the area were comes from biogenic,petrogenic and anthropogenic ***-IR spectrometric analysis confirms die petro-genic nature of pollutants.
