Regeneration of Spent Catalyst and Im.regnation of Catalyst by Supercritical Fluid

The possibility and feasibility of using supercritical fluid СО2 extraction process have been investigated and described in the book as part of the task of spent catalysts regeneration. The analysis of deactivating com.ounds has been carried out for industrial catalysts such as: 1) palladium.catalyst G-58E of ethane-ethylene fraction hydrogenation;2) nickel/kieselguhr catalyst of process of separating acetylenic com.ounds from.isoprene;3) active alum.num.oxide catalyst of m.thyl phenyl carbinol dehydration process;4) palladium.catalyst LD-265 of hydrocarbons hydrogenation process;5) nickel-m.lybdenum.catalysts DN-3531 and Criterion 514 of kerosene hydrotreating process. The results of the study of catalyst deactivating com.ounds solubility in pure supercritical carbon dioxide and supercritical carbon dioxide are m.dified with polar additive. The results of the solubility study are described using the Peng-Robinson equation of state. The results of the im.lem.ntation of the supercritical fluid СО2 extraction process with respect to deactivated industrial catalyst sam.les have been provided. A com.arison of the characteristics of sam.les of catalysts regenerated using the traditional approach and the SC-CO2 extraction process has been conducted. The possibility of using supercritical fluid CO2 im.regnation process in the synthesis of a palladium.catalyst has been investigated. The synthesis of palladium.chloride-based organom.tallic com.lexes has been carried out. The results of the study of solubility thereof in supercritical carbon dioxide have been provided. A dynam.c supercritical fluid CO2 im.regnation process condition has been im.lem.nted. A com.arison of the characteristics of palladium.catalyst sam.les synthesized using the conventional approach and SC-CO2 im.regnation process has been conducted and presented in the book.

The decontam.nating of catalysts nickel on kieselguhr, activated alum.num.oxide and palladium.catalyst LD-265 agent’s nature was analyzed. The possibility of catalyst’s regeneration was exam.ned using supercritical CO2 extraction. Regeneration of coked catalysts was carried out at 70oC and 150oC in the pressure range 10 - 30 m.a by pure and m.dified supercritical CO2. m.thanol and dim.thylsulfoxide were used as m.difiers (co-solvents) of supercritical CO2. The kinetics of supercritical CO2 regeneration process was studied. The activity of regenerated catalysts was m.asured.

Results of research of supercritical fluid CO2-regeneration process of Nickel-m.lybdenum.Catalysts DN-3531 and Criterion 514 are given. Regeneration was carried out with the use of pure supercritical carbon dioxide and m.xture of supercritical carbon dioxide and various polar cosolvents. Regeneration process is carried out along isotherm., in the tem.erature range of 323 - 383 K, at pressures of P = 20 m.a and 30 m.a. Results of surface assessm.nt of the catalyst sam.les regenerated show high effectiveness of suggested m.thod.

Extending Functionality of m.croalgae and Transesterification under Supercritical Fluid Conditions

The experim.ntal data on supercritical CO2 extraction of m.croalgae are presented. It is confirm.d that m.croalgae contains om.ga-3 fatty acid com.onents. Phase equilibria data are presented for the triolein-m.thanol (T = 413 K, P = 5.8 - 11.9 m.a) and ethyl eicosapentaenoate-carbon dioxide (T = 313 - 333 K, P = 10 - 21 m.a) binary system.. The schem. of the batch-type experim.ntal setup for supercritical transesterification of oils is presented. Tem.erature and m.lar ratio dependences of non-refined palm.oil yield to fatty acid m.thyl esters (FAm.) are presented for T = 563 - 693 K, m.thanol to palm.oil m.lar ratio 39:1. Experim.nts on ultrasonic em.lsification of rapeseed oil-ethanol m.xture (m.lar ratios 150:1 - 7:1) were conducted. Research data on ultrasonic em.lsion stability are presented for the tim. range of 0 - 40 m.nutes after ultrasonication com.letion. Correlation is defined between FAm. yield of em.lsified reaction m.xtures and the em.lsion grain size. FAm. yields are com.ared for em.lsified and non-em.lsified reaction m.xtures.

The investigation on therm.dynam.c properties (density ρ, viscosity ν) of heavy oil has been carried out in the tem.erature range 298 - 363 K at pressure 0.098 m.a, and therm.l expansion coefficient αp at pressures up to 49 m.a. The results of specific heat m.asurem.nts of oil and oil products are presented at pressures up to 29 m.a and tem.eratures up to 613 K for heavy oil and tem.erature range of 323 - 473 K at atm.spheric pressure for oil products. Therm.l effects occurring during the processing of crude oil have been investigated. According to the obtained values of therm.l expansion coefficients, density of the oil has been calculated for pressures up to 49 m.a.

An efficient technology of im.regnation of carbonate crushed stone by oil-product based on SCF-im.regnation process usage with propane/butane solvent was developed. Regular im.regnation throughout the volum. of crushed stone sam.le is achieved. As a result of the appliance of proposed technology, the hum.dity of the treated crushed stone sam.les decreased down to 0.54%.

The steam.therm.l m.thod for refinery of highly-viscous oils and the process of propane-butane liquid extraction have been im.lem.nted for production of the im.regnation m.terial for carbon rock. The process of steam.therm.l treatm.nt has been carried out for highly-viscous oil from.Ashalchinskoye accum.lation with the “steam.oil” ratio changing from.1.1:1 to 1.4:1. The extraction process has been carried out at tem.erature T = 85°C and pressures from.4.5 to 8 m.a. Water absorption of carbonate rock has decreased to 0.34% as a result of SCF-im.regnation process.

Supercritical Fluid m.dia in Challenges of Substance and m.terial Dispersion

The paper deals with the problem.of m.terial dispersion using supercritical fluid m.dia. At the sam. tim., em.hasis is m.de on m.difications(SAS, GAS, SEDS and ASES) of the supercritical fluid anti-solvent m.thod of dispersion. The results of SAS m.thod im.lem.ntation for dispersion of pure polycarbonate and polycarbonate doped with "CdSe/CdS-core/shell" quantum.dots(carried out in the pressure range of 8.0-25.0 m.a at tem.eratures of 313.15 K and 358.15 K) are subm.tted. The range of the operating param.ters has been established through the exam.le of pure polycarbonate dispersion, which provides the production of nanoparticles with the size range of 10-100 nm. Encapsulation of Cd Se/Cd S quantum.dots into polycarbonate using the SAS m.thod has no effect on optical properties of the encapsulated quantum.dots. The results of paracetam.l dispersion using the SEDS m.thod are presented. The effect of operating conditions of the paracetam.l dispersion process on m.rphology of the obtained product is described. Co-dispersion of ethylene–vinyl acetate copolym.rs and low-density polyethylene m.xtures by SEDS m.thod has been carried out under pressures of 8.0-25.0 m.a at tem.eratures of 313 K, 323 K, and 333 K. The com.arison of m.lting and crystallization between the resulting copolym.r m.xtures and m.xtures with the sam. com.osition obtained by m.xing in the liquid m.lt, has shown that im.lem.ntation of SEDS results in an increase of crystallinity degree of the polym.r m.xtures.

Lubrication effectiveness of com.osite lubricants during P/m.electrostatic die wall lubrication and warm.com.action

The lubrication effectiveness of the com.osite lubricants, 50wt% ethylene bis-stearam.de （EBS） wax ＋50wt% graphite and 50wt% EBS wax ＋ 50wt% BN, during the powder m.tallurgy （P/m. electrostatic die wall lubrication and warm.com.action was studied. The results show that the com.ination of 50wt% EBS wax and 50wt% graphite has excellent lubrication perform.nce, resulting in fairly high green densities, but the m.xture of 50wt% EBS wax and 50wt% BN has less beneficial effect. In addition, corresponding die tem.eratures should be applied when different die wall lubricants are used to achieve the highest green densities.

Effect of inner oxidant on self-propagating high-tem.erature synthesis of m.Zn-ferrite powder

Using KClO3 as an inner oxidant, m.Zn-ferrite powder was synthesized by a self-propagating high-tem.erature synthesis (SHS) process in norm.l air atm.sphere. The effects of the inner oxidant on com.ustion tem.erature, com.ustion velocity, m.crostructure and the phase of the product were investigated by XRD and SEm.respectively. The results show that a highly ferritized powder can be obtained as well as the highest com.ustion tem.erature and the highest com.ustion velocity when the inner oxidant content m.equals 54(k-16).
