Prebiotics synthesized by probiotic genera are of interest due to their specific ***,modifications of their composition and concentrations by digestion may affect their properties and effects in the *** the present study we assessed small intestinal digestibility of oligosaccharides synthesized by Acidipropionibacterium acidipropionici LET120-β-gal(β-galactosidase)from lactose(LET120-GOS),lactulose(LET120-OsLu)and lactitol(LET120-LOS)by incubating them with brush border membrane vesicles(BBMV)from pig and a rat small intestinal extract(RSIE)as in vitro models of mammalian *** BBMVs and RSIE partially degraded the potential prebiotic oligosaccharides synthesized by dairy propionibacteria and hydrolysis was influenced by the structure and composition of the *** highest degradation was observed for LET120-GOS,with 46.8%and 58.1%of hydrolysis after 5 h of digestion with BBMV and RSIE,*** the contrary,LET120-OsLu and LET120-LOS showed higher resistance to intestinal degradation.β(1→6)linked products showed higher resistance to mammalian digestive enzymes compared toβ(1→4)andβ(1→3)linked *** emphasize the need of quantifying prebiotics that would reach the colon to anticipate their impact on health and the dose needed to exert that effect.

Airplanes are a social necessity for movement of humans,goods,and *** are generally safe modes of transportation;however,incidents and accidents occasionally *** prevent aviation accidents,it is necessary to develop a machine-learning model to detect and predict commercial flights using automatic dependent surveillance–broadcast *** study combined data-quality detection,anomaly detection,and abnormality-classification-model *** research methodology involved the following stages:problem statement,data selection and labeling,prediction-model development,deployment,and *** data labeling process was based on the rules framed by the international civil aviation organization for commercial,jet-engine flights and validated by expert commercial *** results showed that the best prediction model,the quadratic-discriminant-analysis,was 93%accurate,indicating a“good fit”.Moreover,the model’s area-under-the-curve results for abnormal and normal detection were 0.97 and 0.96,respectively,thus confirming its“good fit”.

Modeling and simulation of photovoltaic (PV) systems represents an essential task for the integration of PV panels in current power applications. At the present time, there are sizing tools of photovoltaic systems available on the market, taking into account the proposed energy consumption, site localization and system cost. An advanced specialized program (PVSyst) was considered. The sizing and simulations of two PV important applications were developed using PV modules based on three different technologies: monocrystalline and polycrystalline silicon, as well as CIS. Our results showed how different types of solar cell technologies influenced the final power output and performances for a PV LED lighting, as well as for a PV water pumping system, in terms of overall yield, efficiency and system availability.

Objective:To evaluate the potential efficacy of seed extracts of Annona squamosa and Annona muricata used as natural insecticides to control adult and larvae of the vectors Aedes albopictus and Culex quinquefasciatus under laboratory ***:Aqueous and oil extracts of the two plants were prepared from dried *** identifications of the chemical components of each seed extracts were performed using microreactional and GCP *** and adults of Aedes albopictus and Culex quinquefasciatus were collected from the breeding sites in coastal and highlands regions of *** standardized tests of susceptibility for larvae and imaginal stage of mosquitoes were realized to determine mortality and LC_(50) of ***:Chemical identifications showed that these extracts contain alkaloids and flavonoids compounds that probably confer their biological insecticidal *** analysis showed also the presence of various fatty *** adult mosquitoes,significant insecticidal effects were observed with both aqueous and oil extracts of the two plant seeds compared to mortality induced by deltamethrin,an insecticide used as *** of Annona muricata induced high mortality rate to both species of mosquito compared to extracts of Annona squamosa at all concentrations *** LC_(50) of seed extracts ranged from 1%to 5%for adults and 0.5%to 1%for ***:The seed extracts of these two plants may be used as mosquito controlling agents and offer a new approach to a less costly,practical and environmentally friendly control of vector borne diseases.

N2O represents a popular oxidizer for hybrid rocket motors for a variety of reasons, including safety, ease of access and self-pressurization. It is often used as a saturated two-phase fluid in these applications to take advantage of self-pressurization. Recent interest in using this oxidizer in regeneratively cooled engines requires a detailed heat transfer process analysis to the coolant, in order to quantify performance. Since the injection of N2O typically takes place in the two-phase region, our study focuses on heat transfer rates in this region, and extends the region to include superheated vapor. This analysis is critical for these cooling applications, because the exothermic decomposition nature of N2O also means that unchecked heating in the superheated region may result in a runaway reaction in the cooling passages. Furthermore, provided that sufficient heat transfer rates are available, N2O is expected to accelerate in the cooling passages due to Rayleigh flow effects much like those of a calorically perfect gas. The proximity of superheated N2O to its saturated vapor curve, at the conditions studied here, makes the suitability of a perfect gas model questionable, but that benchmarks is still useful. This paper presents the development of an experimental apparatus （a ＂Rayleigh tube＂）, specifically designed to study this problem, and test the analytical methods developed to model it. Since we focus on the development of the apparatus, the data presented were uses primarily calorically perfect gas surrogates, but the goal is to apply the apparatus and method to N2O. The design and construction of the Rayleigh tube is presented, along with preliminary results with perfect gases. Finally, we present preliminary results on heated N2O flow. Using a simple model for predicted dry-out point, we investigate where superheating may be expected to occur. We present estimates of critical heating and compare them to the heat required to achieve self-decomposition.

The incidence of multifocal(MF) and multicentric(MC) carcinomas varies widely among clinical studies,depending on definitions and methods for pathological *** resonance imaging is increasingly used because it can help identify additional and conventionally occult tumors with high ***,false positive lesions might incorrectly influence treatment ***,preoperative biopsies must be performed to avoid unnecessary *** studies have shown higher lymph node involvement rates in MF/MC tumors than in unifocal ***,the rate of local recurrences is usually low after breast conservative treatment(BCT) of MC/MF *** has been suggested that BCT is a reasonable option for MC/MF tumors in women aged 50-69 years,with small tumors and absence of extensive ductal carcinoma in situ.A metaanalysis showed an apparent decreased overall survival in MC/MF tumors but data are *** should achieve both acceptable cosmetic results and negative margins,which requires thorough preoperative radiological workup and localization of *** radiotherapy techniques must be evaluated since double boosts might result in increased toxicity,namely *** conclusion,BCT is feasible in selected patients with MC/MF but the choice of surgery must be discussed in a multidisciplinary team comprising at least radiologists,surgeons and radiotherapists.

It is adopted the single-diode solar cell model and extended for a PV module. The current vs. voltage (I-V) characteristic based on the Lambert W-function was used. The estimation parameters for the simulation approach of the photovoltaic (PV) module make use of Levenberg-Marquardt method. It was considered an industrial polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic (PV) module and the simulated results were compared with the experimental ones extracted from a specific datasheet. The I-V characteristic for the analysed PV module and its maximum output power are investigated for different operating conditions of incident solar radiation flux and temperature, as well as parameters related to the solar cells material and technology (series resistance, shunt resistance and gamma factor). The analysis gives indications and limitations for design and optimization of the performance for industrial PV modules. This study can be implemented in any type of PV module.

Effect of low level laser therapy on dental pulp during orthodontic movement

AIM: To validate the protocol described here to be used in future clinical trials related to the effect of laser therapy on dental pulp. METHODS: Histologically treated samples from eight human healthy premolar teeth obtained from the middle root level were distributed in four groups: group 1(G1) absolute control; group 2(G2) only laser irradiation; group 3(G3) exposed only to orthodontics; and group 4(G4) treated with orthodontics and laser. Laser treatment was performed at 830 nm wavelength, 100 mW(energy 80 J/cm2, 2.2 J), for 22 s in the vestibular surface and 22 s in the palatal surface, 1 mm away from the dental root mucosa. Three staining methods were performed: hematoxylin-eosin(HE), Masson's Trichrome method and Gomori's ***: The pulp histology parameters were evaluated and the results classified in to 3 parts: an inflammatory response, soft tissue response(dental pulp) and hard tissue response(dentin and predentin). There was no inflammation(chronic or acute) in any of the evaluated groups. The zones of pulp necrosis were found in one premolar of G3 and in one of G4; in groups G2 and G4 there was higher angiogenesis than in the other two groups. G4 group presented the highest level of vascularization. A reduced nerve density was observed in G3. A G2 specimen showed increased nerve density. A higher rate of calcification was observed in G1 compared to G2. Denticles, either real or false, were observed in G1, G2 and G3. Sclerosis of dentin and focal dentin loss was observed among all the groups. Secondary dentin was present in one sample in G1 and G2. A necrosis zone was found in one sample of G3 and G4. No differences between groups were observed in the odontoblast irregularity layer but the layer was wider in the group treated with laser only. A notable difference was detected in reduction of the cell-free layer between the groups G1 and G4. The findings in pulp tissue favor its adaptative response against dental movement induced by orthodontics.
