Understanding the quantitative responses of anisotropic dynamic properties in organic-rich shale with different kerogen content(KC)is of great significance in hydrocarbon exploration and *** controlled experiments with a single variable is challenging for natural shales due to their high variations in components,diagenesis conditions,or pore *** employed the hot-pressing technique to construct 11 well-controlled artificial shale with varying *** artificial shale samples were successive machined into prismatic shape for ultrasonic measurements along different *** revealed bedding perpendicular P-wave velocities are more sensitive to the increasing KC than bedding paralleling velocities due to the preferential alignments of *** elastic stiffnesses except C_(13)are generally decreasing with the increasing KC,the variation of C_(1) and C_(33)on kerogen content are more sensitive than those of C_(44)and C_(66).Apparent dynamic mechanical parameters(v and E)were found to have linear correlation with the true ones from complete anisotropic equations independent of KC,which hold value towards the interpretation of well logs consistently across formations,Anisotropic mechanical parameters(ΔE and brittlenessΔB)tend to decrease with the reducing KC,withΔB showing great sensitivity to KC *** the range of low KC(10%),the V_(P)/V_(S) ratio demonstrated a linearly negative correlation with KC,and the V_(P)/V_(S) ratio magnitude of less than 1.75may serve as a significant characterization for highly organic-rich(>10%)shale,compilation of data from natural organic rich-shales globally verified the similar systematic relationships that can be empirically used to predict the fraction of KC in shales.

Aqueous perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA)elimination has raised significant concerns due to its persistence and ***β-PbO_(2)plate anodes have shown efficient mineralization of PFOA,it remains unclear whether PFOA can be effectively degraded usingβ-PbO_(2)reactive electrochemical membrane(REM).Herein,we assessed the performance of Ti/SnO_(2)-Sb/La-PbO_(2)REM for PFOA removal and proposed a possible degradation *** a current density of 10 mA/cm2and a membrane flux of 8500(liters per square meter per hour,LMH),the degradation efficiency of 10 mg/L PFOA was merely8.8%,whereas the degradation efficiency of 0.1 mg/L PFOA increased to 96.6%.Although the porous structure of theβ-PbO_(2)REM provided numerous electroactive sites for PFOA,the generated oxygen bubbles in the pores could block the pore channels and adsorb PFOA *** hindered the protonation process and significantly impeded the degradation of high-concentration *** experiments indicated that·OH played dominant role in PFOA *** electrical energy per order to remove 0.1 mg/L PFOA was merely 0.74 Wh/L,which was almost an order of magnitude lower than that of other anode *** study presents fresh opportunities for the electrochemical degradation of low-concentration PFOA usingβ-PbO_(2)REM.

Objective:This study investigated the clinical efficacy of bedaquilinecontaining regimens in the treatment of drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis and the diagnostic value of computed tomography(CT).Methods:We retrospectively analyzed the clinical diagnosis,treatment,and CT imaging data of patients with drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis treated in Wenzhou Central Hospital from 1 January to 31 December *** to whether the treatment regimen contained bedaquiline,the patients were divided into an observation group(bedaquiline tablets t background regimen)and a control group(background regimen).The clinical efficacy and pulmonary CT changes before and after treatment were analyzed in both ***:After 24 weeks of treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in the white blood cell count or concentrations of hemoglobin,alanine aminotransferase,serum albumin,or creatinine between the two groups(t=0.71,0.93,0.05,0.18,and 0.08,respectively;p>0.05).After 4,8,and 12 weeks of treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in the sputum culture-negative conversion rate between the two groups(χ^(2)=2.67,0.48,and 1.82,respectively;p>0.05).At 24 weeks of treatment,the sputum culture-negative conversion rate in the observation group reached 100%,which was significantly higher than that in the control group(χ^(2)=3.97,p12 weeks were 83.33% and 57.89%,*** 24 weeks of treatment,the effective absorption rates were 88.00% and 65.85% in the two groups,with a statistically significant difference(χ^(2)=3.98;p10.63,p<0.05).Conclusion:The addition of bedaquiline to the background regimen improved the sputum culture-negative conversion rate and chest imaging effective *** achieved good results at the end of t

Background: Previous studies have highlighted the crucial role of Wnt7B inthe development of various cancers, including breast, pancreatic, and gastriccancers. However, research into the involvement of Wnt7B is often confined tospecific tumor types, with a noticeable lack of comprehensive studies spanningmultiple cancer forms. The potential of Wnt7B as a diagnostic or prognosticcancer biomarker has not been fully ***: In this study, we combined bioinformatics and immunohistochemistryanalyses to examine the expression patterns and functions of Wnt7B in cancerousand adjacent noncancerous tissues across a range of ***: Our data indicate that Wnt7B may serve as a novel prognosticbiomarker and therapeutic target in certain ***: We found significant upregulation of Wnt7B expression levels in themajority of cancer cases examined. Furthermore, Wnt7B can influence cancerprognosis by modulating the tumor microenvironment, immune cell infiltration,and tumor stemness, among other factors. Small cell lung cancer(SCLC)is a highly malignant and heterogeneous cancer with limited therapeutic options and prognosis prediction ***,we analyzed formalin-fixed,paraffin-embedded(FFPE)samples of surgical resections by proteomic profiling,and stratified SCLC into three proteomic subtypes(S-I,S-II,and S-III)with distinct clinical outcomes and chemotherapy *** proteomic subtyping was an independent prognostic factor and performed better than current tumor–node–metastasis or Veterans Administration Lung Study Group staging *** subtyping results could be further validated using FFPE biopsy samples from an independent cohort,extending the analysis to both surgical and biopsy *** signatures of the S-II subtype in particular suggested potential benefits from *** overexpressed proteins in S-III,the worst prognostic subtype,allowed us to nominate potential therapeutic targets,indicating that patient selection may bring new hope for previously failed clinical ***,analysis of an independent cohort of SCLC patients who had received immunotherapy validated the prediction that the S-II patients had better progression-free survival and overall survival after first-line ***,our study provides the rationale for future clinical investigations to validate the current findings for more accurate prognosis prediction and precise treatments.

Fruit wart is an important appearance trait influencing consumer preferences of bitter gourd(Momordica charantia L.).The molecular genetic mechanisms underlying fruit wart formation in bitter gourd are largely *** this study,genetic analysis based on four generations showed that fruit wart formation in bitter gourd was controlled by a single dominant locus named as *** Fwa locus was initially mapped into a 4.82 Mb region on pseudochromosome 4 by BSA-seq analysis and subsequently narrowed down to a 286.30 kb region by linkage analysis.A large F2population consisting of 2360 individuals was used to screen recombinants,and the Fwa locus was finally fine mapped into a 22.70 kb region harboring four protein-coding genes through recombination ***04g1399,encoding an epidermal patterning factor 2-like protein,was proposed as the best candidate gene for Fwa via sequence variation and expression *** addition,a 1-bp insertion and deletion(InDel)variation within MC04g1399 was converted to a cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence(CAPS)marker that could precisely distinguish between the warty and non-warty types with an accuracy rate of 100%among a wide panel of 126 bitter gourd germplasm *** results not only provide a scientific basis for deciphering the molecular mechanisms underlying fruit wart formation but also provide a powerful tool for efficient genetic improvement of fruit wart via marker-assisted selection.
