A New PAA Sol-Gel Method to Synthesis the Spinel LiMn_2._4 Material for Li-ion Battery

A PAA sol-gel method, which is based on the chelate effect of PAA polymer, was developed for the synthesis of the spinel LiMn 2. 4 material. The pyrolysis process of the PAA-nitrate mixture precursor was investigated by TG and DTA analysis. It is found that the structure and electrochemical properties of the material are sensitive to the atmosphere employed in the synthesis process. Preliminary results show that the material thus prepared has a good electrochemical performance even at high charge and discharge current.

A gold electrode modified with adsorbed thionine monolayer was investigated with ac impedance and cyclic voltammetry method. It was found there were some different redox properties for the adsorbed thionine depended on the different potential scanning rate. At the slower potential scanning rate (10 mV? s?1), the dimer of thionine appeared and possessed the catalytic activity for the oxidation of ascorbic acid. The underpotential deposition (UPD) and the bulk deposition of Cu2. were also employed to investigate the monolayer of adsorbed thionine.

The complete experimental IR spectra and vibrational analysis of the title complex Co(mnt)(dmbpy) were reported in this paper. The results show that the complex molecule has a planar geometry belonging to point group C 2. and ground electronic state with spin quartet. A new method for analyzing vibrational spectra of complicated molecule is established. The essential of this method is to point out main fixed points and pivotal vibrational units in assignment for each fundamental band. Two new symbols η (heaving along the specified direction) and M (midpoint of a bond or unit) were defined for describing the vibrational modes accurately.

The Orthopoxvirus genus,especially variola virus(VARV),monkeypox virus(MPXV),remains a significant public health threat *** development of therapeutic antibodies against orthopoxviruses is largely hampered by the high cost of antibody engineering and manufacturing ***-encoded antibodies have emerged as a powerful and universal platform for rapid antibody ***,by using the established lipid nanoparticle(LNP)-encapsulated mRNA platform,we constructed four mRNA combinations that encode monoclonal antibodies with broad neutralization activities against *** vivo characterization demonstrated that a single intravenous injection of each LNP-encapsulated mRNA antibody in mice resulted in the rapid production of neutralizing *** importantly,mRNA antibody treatments showed significant protection from weight loss and mortality in the vaccinia virus(VACV)lethal challenge mouse model,and a unique mRNA antibody cocktail,Mix2.,exhibited superior in vivo protection by targeting both intracellular mature virus(IMV)-form and extracellular enveloped virus(EEV)-form *** summary,our results demonstrate the proof-of-concept production of orthopoxvirus antibodies via the LNP-mRNA platform,highlighting the great potential of tailored mRNA antibody combinations as a universal strategy to combat orthopoxvirus as well as otheremerging viruses.

A type of unique azole-hybridized acylhydrazonyl aloe emodins(AAEs)were developed as new antibacterial agents for combating bacterial *** target AAEs showed strong antibacterial activities,especially,tetrazolylthioether AAE 2.a exhibited broad antibacterial spectrum with 16-2.6 folds and 8-64 folds more active antibacterial efficacy than the reference drugs aloe emodin and norfloxacin,*** AAE 2.a also gave low hemolysis and cytotoxicity,as well as favorable *** mechanism explorations revealed that tetrazolylthioether AAE 2.a could cause bacterial membrane depolarization and damage the cell membrane,resulting in nucleic acid ***,compound 2.a could intercalate into DNA to impede its replication and form supramolecular 2.a-DNA gyrase complex to disturb the function of DNA *** findings would provide valuable insights for the further exploration of azolyl acylhydrazonyl aloe emodins as new potential antibacterial candidates.

Covalently bonded bridging between different semiconductors is a remarkable approach to improve the transfer of charge carriers at *** this study,we designed a ternary heterojunction(MBG)combining of molybdenum diselenide(Mo Se_(2.),black phosphorus nanosheets(Bpn)and graphitic carbon nitride(GCN).Among this MBG of Mo Se_(2./Bpn/GCN,(i)the covalently bonded bridging effect between Bpn/GCN facilitates directional charge carrier transfer,meanwhile(ii)a Z-scheme heterojunction is formed between Mo Se_(2./GCN to enhance the separation of photogenerated ***,(iii)this composite exhibits an increased absorption for visible *** this MBG,photocatalytic degradation of over 98%of moxifloxacin is achieved within 2. min,with O_(2.·-confirmed as the primary photocatalytic active *** findings provide novel insights into the construction of efficient heterojunction by covalently bonded bridging.

Nonprecious-metal-group single-metal-atom catalysts with bifunctional catalytic capabilities toward the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)are highly sought after in energy-conversion and storage ***,producing renewable and sustainable energy sources remains ***,single-transition metal atoms anchored onπ-πconjugated two-dimensional(2.)graphitic carbon nitride substrates formπ-d conjugated conductive channels that enhance the overall electrocatalytic ***,firstprinciples calculations were carried out to design and demonstrate a novel macropore graphitic carbon nitride(gC_(10)N_(3))as a promising 2. electrocatalyst substrate to support single-transition metal(TM,from Sc to Au).The"donation-acceptance"charge interaction in the TM-N_(2.moiety effectively balances the adsorption strength of oxygenated intermediates in Ni@g-C_(10)N_(3)and Rh@gC_(10)N_3,making them effective bifunctional OER/ORR electrocatalysts with IrO_(2./Pt-beyond overpotentials being as low as 0.39/0.38 V and 0.54/0.44 V,***,they possess high stability and conductivity and are less susceptible to oxidation and corrosion under working *** guarantees high activity under ambient ***,the origin of the OER/ORR activity of TM@g-C_(10)N_(3) is explained using multilevel descriptors:intrinsic(p,Bader charge,integral crystal orbital Hamilton population(ICOHP),bond length,and d-band center(εd).In particular,for optimal Ni@g-C_(10)N_(3),the clear hybridization between the Ni-d orbital and surface O-p orbital causes the paired electrons to occupy the bonding *** enables OH~*to be adsorbed on the Ni@g-C_(10)N_(3),thereby achieving the highest catalytic performance.

The interactions between metal ions and DNA have been studied by the resonance light scattering (RLS) spectra. In the acidic condition, the RLS signals of metal ions, especially the transition metal ions in group IB and IIB, were increased by DNA. And it is found that the enhancement of RLS signals is linear to the concentration of DNA, so the RLS method for DNA determination was proposed in the presence of Cu2.. On the optimum conditions, the linear range and the detect limit of ctDNA is 4×10?8–4×10?6 g· mL?1 and 1. 13×10?8 g·mL?1, respectively. The proposed method is successfully applied to determine the extracted plasmid DNA ofBacillus subtilis DB104.
