As a narrow band gap semiconductor,wurtziteβ-CuGaO_(2)has drawn increasing attention in the area of solar ***β-CuGaO_(2)has been theoretically predicted to possess ferroelectric polarization,its experi-mental ferroelectric characterization and practical appli-cations have not yet been ***,firstly we experimentally confirmed its ferroelectric property via hysteresis loop *** result showed a rema-nent polarization value of 10.20μC·cm^(-2) with low coer-cive electricfield of 6.45 kV·cm^(-1) at 20 Hz at room temperature,while the leakage current density(J)value was found to be 1.188 A·cm^(-2),which suggested the property of a larger remnant polarization with low coercive electricfield than current value if the compactness was ***,the synergistic effect of ferroelectric and semiconductor was comparatively highlighted by the experiment of pollutant *** 30 min,methyl orange degradation efficiency had reached 30.73%only in the case of spontaneous polarization(electricity),while it could reach 67.58%under the effect of pre-po-larizedβ-CuGaO_(2)powder due to the modulating orienta-tion of ferroelectric *** irradiated(light),it was up to 92%within 30 min;in comparison,it merely took 16 min up to 92%degradation efﬁciency under both illu-mination and *** without illumination,it was 92.01%with 30 min in the condition of ordinary ultrasonic vibration(force)while under both illumination and ultrasonic vibration,only 11 min was spent to reach 92.79%degradation efﬁ*** these results felici-tously indicated thatβ-CuGaO_(2)had fascinating potential in energy harvesting(such as electricity,light,force)and transformation as wastewater environment remediation catalyst.

The detailed structures and the corresponding formation mechanisms of the well-known Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7 phase in the conventional die-cast Mg–4Al–4RE–0.3Mn alloy were thoroughly investigated using transmission electron microscopy(TEM). The results indicate that the Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7 phase ordinarily contains both normal (111) twins and orientation *** detailed TEM observations and density functional theory calculations indicate that the Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7 phase is transferred from the Al_8REMn_4 phase following an orientation relationship as [010]_(Al_8REMn_4)//[101]_(Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7) and (101)_(Al_8REMn_4)//(110)_(Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7). Moreover, forming orientation twins in the Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7 phase is attributed to the blurry regions at incoherent twin boundaries in the Al_8REMn_4 phase. Finally, these formed orientation twins result in the (111) twins in the Al_(10)RE_2Mn_7 phase.

Dear Editor,We report a rare case of endogenous endophthalmitis caused by Candida albicans in a patient with chronic renal failure concomitant hemodialysis.A 71-year-old man with a history of hypertension and 2-year chronic renal failure on hemodialysis via a native arteriovenous fistula(AVF)was presented to the local hospital due to fever 3wk *** pathogens were detected through blood culture on admission,and his fever gradually subsided with intravenous ceftriaxone *** a week of fever,he experienced progressive blurred vision in both eyes,accompanied by pain and *** magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)of the brain revealed *** had not undergone any previous eye surgeries or trauma.

Poly（ethylene oxide）（PEO） was controllably grafted from styrene-b-（ethylene-co-propylene）-b-styrene （SEPS） backbones by combining lithiation of styrenic units and living monomer-activated anionic ring-opening polymerization of ethylene oxide （EO） monomers with the aid of co-initiators triisobutyl aluminum. The as-synthesized SEPS-g-PEO copolymers were characterized by SEC, 1H-NMR, FTIR, SAXS, AFM and DSC. When the branch length is relatively small, increase of PEO fraction leads to the increase of the correlation length between neighboring hard domains, but the degree of correlation reduces. When the branch length is relatively large, the phase-separated structures become random both in terms of size and spatial correlation, and macro-phase separated structures appear. The crystallization behavior of the PEO branches can be effectively inhibited in SEPS-g-PEO, so no significant crystallization takes place until the fraction of PEO branches is 20.1 wt%, which greatly promotes the rapid delivery of hydrophilic drugs in the hot-melting pressure- sensitive adhesives （HMPSAs） based on SEPS-g-PEO. Their cumulative release amount of a model drug could achieve 80%, more than twice the value in the HMPSAs based on linear PEO-containing styrenic block copolymers.

We explore the generation of topological defects in the course of a dynamical phase transition in a ring with a weak link, i.e., a SSS Josephson junction, from the AdS/CFT correspondence. By setting different parameters of the junction(width, steepness,depth) and the final temperature of the quench, the configurations of the charge density and condensate of the order parameters of the dual field theory are presented. Meanwhile, we observe that in the final equilibrium state, variations in parameters of the junctions only affect the configurations of the charge density and condensate of the order parameters, without altering their values outside the junction. However, variations in the final temperature will directly affect the values of the charge density and condensate of the order parameters outside of the junction. Moreover, in the final equilibrium state, we propose an analytic relation between the gauge-invariant velocity in the two superconducting states in the SSS Josephson junction, which agrees well with the numerical results.

Emerging evidence indicates that sleep deprivation(SD)can lead to Alzheimer’s disease(AD)-related pathological changes and cognitive ***,the underlying mechanisms remain *** the present study,we identified the existence of a microbiota-gut-brain axis in cognitive deficits resulting from chronic SD and revealed a potential pathway by which gut microbiota affects cognitive functioning in chronic *** findings demonstrated that chronic SD in mice not only led to cognitive decline but also induced gut microbiota dysbiosis,elevated NLRP3 inflammasome expression,GSK-3βactivation,autophagy dysfunction,and tau hyperphosphorylation in the *** with the“SD microbiota”replicated the pathological and behavioral abnormalities observed in chronic sleep-deprived ***,both the deletion of NLRP3 in NLRP3-/-mice and specific knockdown of NLRP3 in the hippocampus restored autophagic flux,suppressed tau hyperphosphorylation,and ameliorated cognitive deficits induced by chronic SD,while GSK-3βactivity was not regulated by the NLRP3 inflammasome in chronic ***,deletion of NLRP3 reversed NLRP3 inflammasome activation,autophagy deficits,and tau hyperphosphorylation induced by GSK-3βactivation in primary hippocampal neurons,suggesting that GSK-3β,as a regulator of NLRP3-mediated autophagy dysfunction,plays a significant role in promoting tau ***,gut microbiota dysbiosis was identified as a contributor to chronic SD-induced tau pathology via NLRP3-mediated autophagy dysfunction,ultimately leading to cognitive ***,these findings highlight GSK-3βas a regulator of NLRP3-mediated autophagy dysfunction,playing a critical role in promoting tau hyperphosphorylation.

Herein,the successful preparation of a singleatom catalyst V-N-C using vanadium-doped zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)-8 as a precursor is *** experimental results showed that the V-N-C had a good promoting effect on the hydrogen storage performance of MgH_(2),and the optimal addition amount of V-N-C was 10wt%.The hydrogenation and dehydrogenation apparent activation energies of 10 wt%V-N-C-catalyzed MgH_(2)were reduced by 44.9 and 53.5 kJ·mol^(-1),respectively,compared to those of additive-free MgH_(2).The 10 wt%V-N-C-catalyzed MgH_(2)could reabsorb 5.92 wt%of hydrogen in 50 min at 150℃,with a capacity retention rate of 99.1%after 30 cycles of hydrogen absorption and *** analysis showed that V-N-C was partially transformed into VN and metallic V when it was milled with MgH_(2);the in-situ-formed VN and metallic V played an important role in improving the hydrogen storage performance of MgH_(2).This approach provides a potential solution for obtaining high-performance Mg-based hydrogen storage materials through synergistic interactions between V,N and C.
