Cratonic Strike-Slip Faults in the Southwest Ordos Basin(Central China)， and Their Influence on Hydrocarbon Accumulation

Cratonic strike-slip fault， despite its potentially significant influence on hydrocarbon accumulation， has attracted limited attention. This study investigates the geometry and kinematics of the cratonic strike-slip faults newly identified within the southwest Ordos Basin， Central China， based on 3D seismic reflection data. We recognized three dominant sets of faults with strike-slip nature trending respectively in NW， ENE， and N–S directions in the study area. These faults exhibit a stratified style characterized by distinct trends across various strata， with ENE-trending faults in the Mesozoic strata (Area A)， N-S-trending faults in the Paleozoic strata， and vertically discontinuous structures in the Mesozoic and Paleozoic strata (NW-trending Yudu fault zone and ENE-trending Yulinzi and Zaosheng fault zones). The contrasting kinematics of strike-slip faults observed in deep and shallow layers further confirm such fault stratification， suggesting isolated fault evolution within respective layers. The quantified fault parameters obtained from seismic reflection data， including length， width and displacement， suggest that these cratonic strike-slip faults in the Ordos Basin are immature. Comparisons with strike-slip faults in other cratonic basins and active tectonic settings suggest that the strike-slip faults within the Ordos Basin are representative of cratonic strike-slip faults， characterized by low maturity and a stratified faulting style， and they have special propagation mechanism (preferentially occurring in the shallow strata of the interior of the basin). Moreover， these fault characteristics have dual impacts on petroleum accumulation in the southwest Ordos Basin. The low faulty maturity makes the fault zone a special hydrocarbon reservoir (fault-fracture volume) in tight sandstone， while the stratified faulting style vertically separates the Mesozoic and Paleozoic petroleum systems in the southwest Ordos Basin. Seafloor topography plays an important role in the evolution of submarine ***,it is still not so clear how the shape of slope affects the three-dimensional(3-D)architecture of submarine *** this study,we analyze the effect of topography factors on different hierarchical lobe architectures that formed during Pliocene to Quaternary in the Rovuma Basin offshore East *** characterize the shape,size and growth pattern of different hierarchical lobe architectures using 3-D seismic *** find that the relief of the topographic slope determines the location of preferential deposition of lobe complexes and single *** the topography is irregular and presents topographic lows,lobe complexes first infill these *** lobes are deposited preferentially at positions with higher longitudinal(***-slope)slope *** the longitudinal slope becomes higher,the aspect ratio of the single lobes ***(***-slope)topography does not seem to have a strong influence on the shape of single lobe,but it seems to affect the overlap of single *** the lateral slope gradient is relatively high,the single lobes tend to have a larger overlap ***,as the average of lateral slope and longitudinal slope gets greater,the width/thickness ratio of the single lobe is smaller,*** tend to accumulate *** results demonstrate that the shape of slopes more comprehensively influences the 3-D architecture of lobes in natural deep-sea systems than previously other lobe deposits and analogue experiments,which helps us better understand the development and evolution of the distal parts of turbidite systems.

Purpose:The present study aimed to analyze the influence of muscle activation on lumbar injury under aspecific+Gz ***:A hybrid finite element human body model with detailed lumbar anatomy and lumbar muscleactivation capabilities was *** the specific+Gz loading acceleration as input,the kinematicand biomechanical responses of the occupant's lower back were studied for both activated and deactivated states of the lumbar ***:The results indicated that activating the major lumbar muscles enhanced the stability of theoccupant's torso,which delayed the contact between the occupant's head and the *** activation led to higher strain and stress output in the lumbar spine under+Gz load,such as themaximum Von Mises stress of the vertebrae and intervertebral discs increased by 177.9%and 161.8%,respectively,and the damage response index increased by 84.5%.Conclusion:In both simulations,the occupant's risk of lumbar injury does not exceed 10%***,the activation of muscles could provide good protection for maintaining the lumbar spine andreduce the effect of acceleration in vehicle travel direction.

Background:In the era of immunotherapy,neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy(NAIC)for the treatment of locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)is used clinically but lacks of high-level clinical *** study aimed to compare the safety and long-term efficacy of NAIC followed byminimally invasive esophagectomy(MIE)with those of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC)followed by ***:A prospective,single-center,open-label,randomized phase Ⅲ clinical trial was conducted at Henan Cancer Hospital,Zhengzhou,*** were randomly assigned to receive either neoadjuvant toripalimab(240mg)plus paclitaxel(175 mg/m^(2))+cisplatin(75 mg/m^(2))(toripalimab group)or paclitaxel+cisplatin alone(chemotherapy group)every 3 weeks for 2 *** surgery,the toripalimab group received toripalimab(240 mg every 3 weeks for up to 6 months).The primary endpoint was event-free survival(EFS).The pathological complete response(pCR)and overall survival(OS)were key secondary *** events(AEs)and quality of life were also ***:Between May 15,2020 and August 13,2021,252 ESCC patients ranging fromT1N1-3M0 to T2-3N0-3M0were enrolled for interim analysis,with 127 in the toripalimab group and 125 in the chemotherapy *** 1-year EFS rate was 77.9%in the toripalimab group compared to 64.3%in the chemotherapy group(hazard ratio[HR]=0.62;95%confidence interval[CI]=0.39 to 1.00;P=0.05).The 1-year OS rates were 94.1%and 83.0%in the toripalimab and chemotherapy groups,respectively(HR=0.48;95%CI=0.24 to 0.97;P=0.037).The patients in the toripalimab group had a higher pCR rate(18.6%vs.4.6%;P=0.001).The rates of postoperative Clavien-Dindo grade Ⅲb or higher morbidity were 9.8%in the toripalimab group and 6.8%in the chemotherapy group,with no significant difference observed(P=0.460).The rates of grade 3 or 4 treatment-related AEs did not differ between the two groups(12.5%versus 12.4%).Conclusions:The interim results of this ongoing trial showed that in resec

In the boreal summer and autumn of 2023,the globe experienced an extremely hot period across both oceans and *** consecutive record-breaking mean surface temperature has caused many to speculate upon how the global temperature will evolve in the coming 2023/24 boreal *** this report,as shown in the multi-model ensemble mean(MME)prediction released by the Institute of Atmospheric Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences,a medium-to-strong eastern Pacific El Niño event will reach its mature phase in the following 2−3 months,which tends to excite an anomalous anticyclone over the western North Pacific and the Pacific-North American teleconnection,thus serving to modulate the winter climate in East Asia and North *** some uncertainty due to unpredictable internal atmospheric variability,the global mean surface temperature(GMST)in the 2023/24 winter will likely be the warmest in recorded history as a consequence of both the El Niño event and the long-term global warming ***,the middle and low latitudes of Eurasia are expected to experience an anomalously warm winter,and the surface air temperature anomaly in China will likely exceed 2.4 standard deviations above climatology and subsequently be recorded as the warmest winter since ***,the necessary early warnings are still reliable in the timely updated mediumterm numerical weather forecasts and sub-seasonal-to-seasonal prediction.

光滑有限元基于光滑应变技术,在进行数值积分时避免使用等参变换,在模拟软材料大变形问题具有一定的优势。建立了基于光滑应变技术的硬磁软材料大变形模拟的数值格式,给出了数值格式中所需要的应力张量和本构张量。采用该数值格式研究了不同长高比下的硬磁软材料梁在外部磁场激励下的弯曲特性,得到的磁载荷-位移曲线和试验结果进行了对比;模拟了含有不同残余磁场方向分布的硬磁软材料结构在外磁场作用下的形态演化过程,计算的最终变形形态与试验结果进行比较。计算结果表明:采用该数值格式得到的结果与试验结果吻合较好;在不受约束的前提下,硬磁软材料内部残余磁场方向突变处变形较大。研究结果可为由硬磁软材料组成的软体机器人和智能柔性结构的力学分析与变形调控设计提供参考。
