Zawita natural forest has recently has been subject to mass recreational activities during spring that have denuded large areas of the *** was thus essential to assess regeneration before designing optimizing *** this end,we studied the overstory canopy and microhabitat conditions for recruitment of Pinus brutia Ten in 10 plots(20×25 m)on the southern aspects where the Zawita natural forest is still *** total,1540 regenerating *** were recorded,854 seedlings,597 saplings,and 89 *** and saplings were more frequent beyond the canopy than under the canopy of the parent *** requirements differed between seedlings and *** probability of the occurrence of seedlings was negatively correlated with increasing litter depth and increasing soil *** density of saplings only showed a positive significant correlation with increasing *** nearest neighbor index showed a trend toward a positive spatial association between understory shrubs with their neighboring seedlings at a mean distance of 1.6 ***,the study highlighted the requirements for seedling regeneration as a relatively open canopy cover,a light understory litter layer,and noncompacted *** results are a step towards designing effective management and restoration programs.

The Study of Vaginal Fluid Urea, Creatinine, B-HCG and Placental Alpha-1 microglobulin in Diagnosis of Premature Rupture of membranes

Purpose: To evaluate and compare the reliability, accuracy and the cost benefit ratio of vaginal washing fluid urea, creatinine, Beta Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (β-HCG) and placental alpha microglobulin-1 (PAmG-1) for diagnosis of premature rupture of membranes (PROm). material and methods: A diagnostic study conducted on 70 patients. The patients were divided into three groups: Group A (n = 25): (Confirmed PROm group) patients who were either in labor or not in labor, Gestational age was from 24 weeks onwards and fulfilled the following criteria and/or two of these criteria with low AFI positive pooling, positive nitrazine paper test, positive fern test. Group B (n = 25): (Suspected PROm group) patients who fulfilled the following criteria: Patients with fluid leakage complaint with negative pooling and/or negative nitrazine paper test and/or negative fern test. Group C (n = 25): (Control group with no PROm) patients that were admitted to prenatal clinic for their regular prenatal control visit with 24 - 42 weeks of gestational age without any complaint or complication and with negative pooling, negative nitrazine paper test and/or negative fern test. The vaginal washing fluid urea, creatinine, Beta-Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (β-HCG) and placental alpha microglobulin-1 (PAmG-1) were determined for diagnosis of premature rupture of membranes (PROm). Results: PAmG-1 detection in cervico vaginal discharge was a very good test for diagnosis of PROm with high sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, accuracy and P-value (96%, 100%, 100%, 95.84%, 97.78% and m with high sensitivity, and specificity after PAmG-1 with a privilege of low cost than PAmG-1. Furthermore they were more accurate than β-HCG. Flow Cytometric Diagnosis of Acute Leukemia and Aberrant Antigen: Sohag University Experience

Background: multiparameter flow cytometry is the most important method for the lineage assignment and maturational analysis of acute leukemias (AL) cells. The multi parametric immunophenotyping analysis allows the detection of aberrant antigen expression and the analysis of heterogeneity and clonality of malignant cells in AL. The aim of the work is to study the immunophenotypes of blasts from patients with AL and determine the frequency of aberrant markers. Subjects and methods: Retrospective study to analyze immunophenotypic data of de novo 144 AL patients who were diagnosed in Clinical Pathology Department, Sohag University. Results: We found that 61.8% of AL patients were classified as acute myeloblastic leukemia (AmL) while 38.9% classified as acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The commonest FAB subtype in AmL group was AmL-m2 (31.8%) followed by m4-m5 27.3%. As regard ALL, there were 85.7% with B-ALL and 14.3% with T-ALL. The aberrancy expressions were found in 66 of AL cases (45.8%), CD7 was the most commonly expressed lymphoid antigen in AmL (25%), CD13 was the most commonly expressed myeloid antigen in ALL (39.3%). The study was sought to enhance the synthesis of thermal stableβ-cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase(β-CGTase)using potato wastewater as a low-cost medium and assess the degree to which it is efficient for industrial production ofβ-cyclodextrin(β-CD)from raw potato *** bacteria producingβ-CGTase was isolated from Saudi Arabia and the promising strain was identified as Bacillus licheniformis using phylogenetic analysis of the 16S rRNA ***-encapsulated cultures exhibited twice-fold ofβ-CGTase production more than free *** electron microscopy(SEm)of polymeric capsules indicated the potential for a longer shelf-life,which promotes the restoration of activity in bacterial cells across semi-continuous fermentation ofβ-CGTase production for 252 *** optimal conditions forβ-CGTase synthesis using potato wastewater medium were at 36 h,pH of 8.0,and 50°C with 0.4%potato starch and 0.6%yeast extract as carbon and nitrogen sources,*** purified enzyme showed a specific activity of 63.90 U/mg with a molecular weight of∼84.6 kDa as determined by SDS-PAGE *** high enzyme activity was observed up to 60°C,and complete stability was achieved at 75°*** levels of activity and stability were shown at pH 8.0,and the pH range from 7.0–10.0,*** enzyme has an appreciable affinity for raw potato starch with a Km of 5.7×10−6 m and a Vmax of 87.71μmoL/mL/min.β-CD production was effective against 25 U/g of raw potato *** outcomes demonstrated its feasibility to develop a fermentation process by integrating the cost-effective production ofβ-CGTase having distinctive properties forβ-CD production with ecofriendly utilization of potato wastewater.

AIm:To share the results of a national screening program for amblyopia in school children in the north of ***:This is a prospective national screening study for *** program rolls first and second-grade children(6 to 7 years old) in the north of *** eye examination included:best-corrected visual acuity,cover-uncover test,and cycloplegic *** visual acuity was tested using an ETDRS visual acuity chart without ***,children were tested with full cycloplegic refraction when the test criteria were *** amblyopia was defined as a best-corrected visual acuity difference of 2 or more *** comparison,bilateral amblyopia was defined as a best-corrected visual acuity of 20/40 or worse in the best ***:The prevalence of amblyopia for the total sample tested(n=17 203) was 2.78%(n=479).The most common cause of amblyopia was hypermetropia(64.45%),followed by previous ocular surgeries(15.1%),myopia(10.43%),strabismus(9.39%),and congenital cataract(0.63%).CONCLUSION:This is the first and only study,identifing modifiable risk factors in Jordanian children with *** their first couple of years of elementary education,many Jordanian children are affected by amblyopia and pass unnoticed.A more governmental effort is needed into screening programs to improve vision in the Jordanian population.

The Effect of mg2+Substitution with Li1+on Structural and Optical Properties of Zn0.5Li2xmg0.5-xFe2O4Nanoparticles

Nanoferrite materials had been synthesized to produce new alternate substance for reducing the rare or high cost of industrial materials. In this work, the Zn0.5mg0.5-xLi2xFe2O4 nanoferrite (x = 0.00, 0.10, 0.20, 0.30 and 0.40) was prepared by co-precipitation approach. Structural and optical properties were investigated for the Zn0.5mg0.5-xLi2xFe2O4 series by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transforms infrared (FTIR) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopies. The XRD data showed that all samples of Zn0.5mg0.5-xLi2xFe2O4 series possess a cubic spinel with a space group (Fd-3m) structure and crystallite size decreased from 116 to 96 nm with a doping ratio. Lattice parameter founded to increases with Li1+ ratio that result in the larger ionic radius of the Li1+ cation. FTIR result verified the formation of spinel structure by appearance of the absorption bands around 420, 580 cm-1. The energy band gap computed for Zn0.5mg0.5-xLi2xFe2O4 samples and it founded in the range of 3.28 - 3.12eV.

modification on Synthesis of mixed Ligand Chelates by Using Di- and Trivalent Transition metal Ions with Schiff Base as Primary Ligand

New mixed ligand chelates synthesized from di-and trivalent metal ions (Cr, Co, Ni, and Cu ions) and Schiff base (L1) resulted from the condensation of 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde with 2-aminophenol as primary ligand, whereas 2-nitroaniline (L2) represents the secondary ligand in a molar ratio of m:L1:L2 [1:1:1]. The synthesized Schiff base and chelates have been characterized by using several tools, such as, elemental analysis, molar conductivity, magnetic moment measurements, infrared and electronic spectra. The mass spectra of the ligands and Ni(II) chelate were used to justify the process of modification, as well as, the electron paramagnetic resonance spectrum which was carried out for Cu(II) chelate all in order to elucidate the chemical and geometrical structure of the chelates. On the basis of the obtained data, the geometry of the products was proposed for all the chelates.

Co-precipitation is an important issue in chemical analysis, where it is often undesirable, but in some cases, it can be exploited. The Zn0.5mn0.5−xLi2xFe2O4 nanomaterials (x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4) was afforded by utilizing co-precipitation method. The structural and optical characteristics were analyzed for the samples employing X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer (UV-Vis). XRD revealed that the structure of certain nanoparticles is a cubic spinel with space group (Fd-3m) and crystallite size in the scale 124 - 150 nm. Lattice parameter was determined to increments with Li+1 and that may occur due to the larger ionic radius of the Li1+ ion. FTIR spectroscopy confirmed the form of spinel ferrite and explicated the properties of absorption bands approximately 593, 1111, 1385, 1640, 2922 and 3430. The energy band gap was estimated for all samples with diverse ratios and was observed in the range of 2.58 - 2.52 eV.

The Effect of Absorbed Dose to Organs at Risk Following Craniospinal Irradiation Using Different Radiotherapy Techniques

Introduction: In medulloblastoma patients craniospinal irradiation is an important element the treatment. Our study aimed to evaluate the effect of absorbed dose to organs at risk using the hybrid intensity-modulated radiation therapy (ImRT) versus three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) for craniospinal irradiation (CSI) in average risk medulloblastoma patients. materials and methods: In this study, thirteen medulloblastoma patients were included. The prescribed total dose to the planning target volume (PTV) was 23, 40 Gy in 13 fractions. Two radiotherapy techniques, three dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) and hybrid intensity modulated radiotherapy (ImRT) were used to treat these patients. The coverage of the Target was evaluated using the D mean, D95%, D2%, D98% and V95%. Other parameters were also compared such as Integral dose (ID), Homogeneity index (HI) and doses to the organs at risk (OARs). Results: There was no significant difference in the mean dose received by the PTV-Brain or the dose received by 95% and 98% of PTV volume using the two techniques. For PTV-Spine, the percentage volume receiving 95% of the total dose increased significantly in the hybrid ImRT technique compared to the conformal technique. So, hybrid ImRT plan achieved the best coverage for PTV spine. Lower dose for OAR was delivered by 3DCRT, except the heart and thyroid, hybrid ImRT achieved better sparing. All plans resulted in the same dose homogeneity index (DHI) for PTV-Brain. For PTV-Spine, hybrid ImRT technique achieved better dose homogeneity compared to 3DCRT technique (1.09 vs. 1.12;p > 0.05). Conclusions: hybrid ImRT technique can be realized on conformal technique because it achieved better dose coverage for the (PTV) and organ at risk (OAR). 3DCRT reduced mean dose to most OARS, except the heart and thyroid. Therefore, the hybrid ImRT technique may be a CSI treatment alternative to 3DCRT.
