This study presents the volatile constituents from leaves of Trifolium alexandrinum from *** dried leaves were subjected to hydrodistillation for extraction and extracted volatile oil was subsequently characterized by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry technique.A total of 22 compounds were identified where the most dominant constituents were:phytol(46.00%),palmitic acid(9.26%),phytol acetate(6.44%),and linolenic acid(3.47%).Most of these are well-known constituents to exhibit antibacterial,antioxidant,antitumor,and anti-inflammatory activities.

目的:评价一种中药植物鞭檐犁头尖(***)作为抗癌药物的临床前研究的系统综述。方法:对Scopus、PubMed、Web of Science、ScienceDirect、LILACS、EBSCO Medline、Mendeley等7个数据库进行全面检索,检索时间截止到2023年9月8日。排除了临床试验和非原创的同行评议报告后,鞭檐犁头尖的提取物,组成,或分离化合物的体内外研究且经过同行评审的英文文献均被纳入。本研究定性评估了鞭檐犁头尖对不同肿瘤细胞、肿瘤大小和作用机制的有效性。证据质量由三名独立评估人员使用ToxRTool进行评估,并验证其一致性。结果:检索后共纳入27项研究:22项体外研究,4项体内研究,1项体内外研究。结果发现鞭檐犁头尖对白血病、乳腺癌、结直肠癌和肺癌有效。大多数研究的评估为“有限制的可靠”。鞭檐犁头尖通过阻断细胞周期、活化caspase-3/-9、分解PARP、裂解DNA、减少生存素含量、降低ROS表达、抑制COX-2和HSP70表达和抑制NF-kB通路等来诱导细胞凋亡。当与干扰素联合使用时,其能阻碍血管生成。结论:尽管鞭檐犁头尖具有良好的抗癌活性,但其作为单独抗癌药物的疗效尚不确定。它似乎更适合用于癌症的补充或联合治疗。研究设计不理想,报告不完整,以及在多篇文章中没有纳入适当的阳性对照和统计分析可能是本研究缺乏结论性证据的原因。

Electrodeposition and Surface Characterization of Sulfur on Polycrystalline Platinum from Sulfide Polluted Brine

This paper investigated the electrodeposition of sulfur on polycrystalline platinum from sulfide polluted brine. Anodic polarization, potentiostatic and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） techniques were performed. The slope of Warburg straight line in Nyquiest plot of the EIS spectra performed at 0.0 V indicates diffusion control mechanism of the electrodeposition process. At 0.5 V the Rp （determined from EIS measurements） increased rapidly with time indicating more sulfur deposition and more passivation of platinum surface. Samples subjected to potentiostatic experiments at 0.4, 0.9 and 1.0 V were investigated under Scanning Electron Microscope （SEM）. SEM images reveal the deposition of sulfur on the sample surfaces. The degree of sulfur deposit coverage and its morphology depend on both the potential and time of deposition.

BACKGROUND Even though percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)improved the survival of patients with acute myocardial infarction,still multivessel coronary artery disease remains an important factor burdening prognosis and it is being associated with a worse prognosis compared to single-vessel disease(SVD).AIM To compare the clinical profile and outcomes after the primary PCI in young patients with SVD vs multivessel disease(MVD).METHODS The retrospective cohort of patients were divided into two groups:SVD and MVD *** study population consisted of both male and female young(≤45 years)patients presented with ST-elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI)at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease,Karachi,Pakistan and undergone primary PCI from 1 st July 2017 to 31 st March *** and postprocedure management of the patients was as per the guidelines and institutional *** A total of 571 patients with STEMI,≤45 years were stratified into two groups by the number of vessels involved,342(59.9%)with SVD and 229(40.1%)with *** average age of these patients was 39.04±4.86 years.A lower prevalence of hypertension and diabetes was observed in SVD as compare to MVD group(25.1%vs 38%,P<0.01;11.7%vs 27.5%,P<0.001)***,smoking was more prevalent among the SVD group as compare to MVD group(36.3%vs 28.4%,P=0.05).The high-C Lesion was observed in a significantly higher number of younger patients with MVD as compared to SVD group(48.8%vs 39.2%,P=0.021).Post-procedure thrombolysis in myocardial infarction flow grade was found to be not associated with the number of diseased vessels with a P value of 0.426 and thrombolysis in myocardial infarction flow grade III was observed in 98%vs 96.5%of the patients is SVD vs MVD *** The MVD comprised of around 40%of the young patients presented with ***,this study shows that diabetes and hypertension have a certain role in the pathogenesis of multivessel diseases,therefore,preventive

Fruit flies are serious pests of Mango in Sudan; they cause substantial damage to Mango production, both qualitatively and quantitatively. This study is an effort to establish information about the pest and, to test the susceptibility of some Mango cultivars （Baladi, Kitchener, Shendi, Alphons, Abu Samaka and Bit abusamaka） to the pest infestation. A survey was carded out at Shendi area, River Nile State, during the period of May 2007 to July 2008, using a home made trap resemble lvnfield traps with attractants （Methyl eugenol, Trimedlure, cue lure and Nu lure） to identify the fruit flies species found in the area and to study the seasonal abundance of the pest species and to determine the infestation percentage of different Mango cultivars. Results indicated that the fruit fly Bactrocera invadens is present all year-round in the study area, with population peak July to September. The study showed that Guava （ Psedium guajava ） represents the best alternative host for the pest. Abu samaka and Bit Abusa amaka mango cultivars were the most susceptible, with 100% infestation, followed by Shendi 70%, Kitchener 54%, Alphons and Baladi （30%, 28%, respectively） were the least susceptible. Also results revealed that females of both species Ceratitis cosyra and Bactrocera invadens out numbered males 4-5 times.

Flexible bronchoscopy is a common procedure. Training in bronchoscopy is a complex process involving learning technical skills, understanding indications and contraindications, risks and benefits of the procedure, working within the team and communicating with patients. It is expected that a competent bronchoscopist is able to maneuver the scope through the anatomically complex bronchial tree, take samples, manage the sedated patient and communicate with nursing staff. Learning the complex procedural skills in the clinical setting can be stressful, therefore current bronchoscopic training methodology should blend a number of learning methods including didactic lectures, web-based material, high and low fidelity simulators as well as supervised apprenticeship training. Simulation-based bronchoscopy training therefore has been explored as a mode of training bronchoscopy skills. In this article, the role of simulation-based bronchoscopy training is reviewed. The low fidelity and high fidelity virtual reality bronchoscopy models are described together with the evidence available to support the use of simulation for bronchoscopy training.

近年来,随着中巴友谊的发展,巴基斯坦和中国在多个领域展开合作且越来越深入,学习汉语的巴基斯坦学生显著增加。以此为背景,本研究将以巴基斯坦最重要的中文教学机构—巴基斯坦伊斯兰堡国立现代语言大学中文系为研究对象,通过实地调查与文献分析相结合的方法,对该校中文系的汉语教学现状进行了全面的分析,并对汉语教学的课程设置、教材编撰、教学设备、师资队伍和学生的结构组成等方面存在的不足进行了探讨。针对巴基斯坦国立现代语言大学汉语教学的现状和局限性,结合巴基斯坦各地缺乏汉语教学实践的事实,文章从学校、教师、教材、教学设备几个方面提出了相应的建议,希望能为巴基斯坦现代语言大学汉语教育的发展提供借鉴。

Female genital mutilation (FGM) is partial or total excision of female external genitalia or other deliberate injury to the female genital organs for non-therapeutic purpose. It is cultural and traditional practice. Female genital mutilation may result in immediate complications such as severe pain and bleeding and long-term complications such as: psychological, psychosexual, trauma, infertility, urinary and genital complications.

AIM: To determine the diagnostic accuracy of a new point-of-care assay detecting anti-deamidated gliadin peptides in celiac disease(CD) ***: One-hundred-and-twelve patients(age range: 1.8-79.2 years old) with clinical symptoms suggestive of CD and/or first-degree relatives(FDR) of CD patients(n = 66),and confirmed CD on a gluten-free diet(GFD)(n = 46),were prospectively enrolled in the study at Gastroenterology outpatient clinics for adult patients and from the Gastroenterology Consultation Ward at the Pediatric Department of the University Hospital of *** informed consent was obtained from all subjects *** study received approval from the local ethics *** original CD diagnosis had been based on serum-positive IgA anti-tissue transglutaminase enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)(QuantaLite,Inova Diagnostics,San Diego,CA,United States) and on biopsy *** samples from all study participants were tested by the new CD lateral flow immunochromatographic assay(CD-LFIA) device,Simtomax Blood Drop(Augurix SA,BioArk,Monthey,Switzerland) to detect immunoglobulin(Ig)A and IgG antibodies against deamidated gliadin *** diagnostic performance was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic curves with 95%CIs.A cut-off of 2 on the Rann colorimetric scale was used to calculate the device's sensitivity and ***: CD-LFIA was highly accurate in detecting untreated celiac *** the group of patients with CD symptoms and/or FDR,eight new cases of CD were detected by ELISA and *** of these new cases were also correctly identified by *** test yielded four false positive and four false negative *** false positive results were all within the groups with clinical symptoms suggestive of CD and/or FDR,whereas the false negative results were all within the GFD *** test yeld a sensitivity of 78.9%(95%CI: 54.4-93.9) and specificity of 95.7%(95%CI: 89.4-98.8),and the area under
