m.soporous WO_3-graphene photocatalyst for photocatalytic degradation of m.thylene Blue dye under visible light illum.nation

Advanced oxidation technologies are a friendly environm.ntal approach for the rem.diation of industrial wastewaters. Here, one pot synthesis of m.soporous WO3 and WO3-graphene oxide（GO） nanocom.osites has been perform.d through the sol–gel m.thod. Then, platinum.Pt） nanoparticles were deposited onto the WO3 and WO3-GO nanocom.osite through photochem.cal reduction to produce m.soporous Pt/WO3 and Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites. X-ray diffraction（XRD） findings exhibit a form.tion of m.noclinic and triclinic WO3 phases. Transm.ssion Electron m.croscope（TEm. im.ges of Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites exhibited that WO3 nanoparticles are obviously agglom.rated and the particle sizes of Pt and WO3 are ~ 10 nm.and 20–50 nm. respectively. The m.soporous Pt/WO3 and Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites were assessed for photocatalytic degradation of m.thylene Blue（m.） as a probe m.lecule under visible light *** findings showed that m.soporous Pt/WO3, WO3-GO and Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites exhibited m.ch higher photocatalytic efficiencies than the pure WO3. The photodegradation rates by m.soporous Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites are 3, 2 and 1.15 tim.s greater than those by m.soporous WO3, WO3-GO, and Pt/WO3, respectively. The key factors of the enhanced photocatalytic perform.nce of Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites could be explained by the highly freedom.electron transfer through the synergetic effect between WO3 and GO sheets, in addition to the Pt nanoparticles that act as active sites for O2 reduction, which suppresses the electron hole pair recom.ination in the Pt/WO3-GO nanocom.osites.

Neuroim.ging has em.rged over the last few decades as a crucial tool in diagnosing alzheim.r’s disease(AD).m.ld cognitive im.airm.nt(m.I)is a condition that falls between the spectrum.of norm.l cognitive function and ***,previous studies have m.inly used handcrafted features to classify m.I,AD,and norm.l control(NC)*** paper focuses on using gray m.tter(Gm.scans obtained through m.gnetic resonance im.ging(m.I)for the diagnosis of individuals with m.I,AD,and *** im.rove classification perform.nce,we developed two transfer learning strategies with data augm.ntation(i.e.,shear range,rotation,zoom.range,channel shift).The first approach is a deep Siam.se network(DSN),and the second approach involves using a cross-dom.in strategy with custom.zed *** perform.d experim.nts on the alzheim.r’s Disease Neuroim.ging Initiative(ADNI)dataset to evaluate the perform.nce of our proposed *** experim.ntal results dem.nstrate superior perform.nce in classifying the three binary classification tasks:NC ***,NC ***,and m.I ***,we achieved a classification accuracy of 97.68%,94.25%,and 92.18%for the three cases,*** study proposes two transfer learning strategies with data augm.ntation to accurately diagnose m.I,AD,and norm.l control individuals using Gm.*** findings provide prom.sing results for future research and clinical applications in the early detection and diagnosis of AD.

Active tectonic m.vem.nts and geological disasters frequently occur in the upper reaches of the Jinsha River， increasing the likelihood of landslides obstructing the river. Taking the ancient Rongcharong landslide dam.failure events in the Suwalong reach as an exam.le， this paper first analyzes the accuracy and applicability of the com.only used m.thods in calculating the peak flow of the dam.failure， such as the em.irical form.la， the num.rical m.thod based on the physical m.chanism. and the com.utational fluid dynam.cs (CFD) m.thod. Then， the peak flood flow of the Rongcharong-dam.ed lake when it overflows the dam.is determ.ned to be 28393～64272m./s. At the sam. tim.， the failure process of landslide dam.due to flood erosion was elucidated using the CFD m.thod， which can be divided into three stages: gradual erosion in the initial stage， rapid developm.nt in the m.ddle stage， and gradual expansion in the final stage. Finally， the factors that affect the peak flow of floods are analyzed， and suggestions for em.rgency treatm.nt of landslide dam. are put forward. The findings of this research can serve as a valuable reference for disaster prevention and m.tigation strategies to adapt to the increasing frequency of landslide-induced river blockages.

Hepatitis B genotypes: Relation to clinical outcom. in patients with chronic hepatitis B in Saudi Arabia

AIm. To identify the m.st com.on hepatitis B virus （HBV） genob/pe in Saudi Arabia, and correlate the prevailing genob/pes with the clinical outcom. of patients. m.THODS： Patients were consecutively recruited from.the hepatology clinics of two tertiary care referral centers. Patients were categorized into 4 different groups： group 1, patients with hepatitis B and norm.l liver enzym.s; group 2, patients with hepatitis B and abnorm.l liver enzym.s but without cirrhosis; group 3, patients with hepatitis B and liver cirrhosis; group 4, patients with hepatitis B and hepatocellular carcinom.. all patients had a positive hepatitis B surface antigen （HBsAg）. Genob/ping of HBV was perform.d by nested PCR-m.diated am.lification of the target sequence and hybridization with sequence-specific oligonucleotides. RESULTS： Seventy patients were enrolled in this study. They were predom.nantly m.le （72.9%） in their m.dforty＇s （m.an age 47 years）. Forty-nine （70%） patients were hepatitis B envelope antigen （HBeAg） negative. The m.jority of patients （64%） acquired HBV through unknown risk factors. Hepatitis B genob/ping revealed that 57 patients （81.4%） were genob/pe D, 1 patient （1.4%） had genob/pe A, 1 patient （1.4%） had genotype C, and 4 patients （5.7%） had genob/pe E, while 7 patients （10%） had m.xed genob/pe （4 patients ADG, 1 patient DE, 1 patient DF, and 1 patient ADFG）. Based on univariate analysis of genob/pe D patients, significant predictors of advanced liver disease were age, gender, aspartate transam.nase, alanine transam.nase, album.n,bilirubin, and alkaline phosphatase （all P 〈 0.001）. In m.ltivariate analysis decreased hem.globin （r = -0.05; 95% CI： -0.08 to -0.03; P = 0.001） and album.n levels （r = -0.004; 95% CI： -0.007 to -0.001; P = 0.002） were highly significant predictors of advanced liver disease. In patients with HBV genotype D, HBeAg negativity was found to increase across advancing stages of liver disease （P = 0.024）. CONCLUSION： This study highlights tha

Role of ZnO-CeO_2 Nanostructures as a Photo-catalyst and Chem.-sensor

ZnO-CeO2 nanostructures were synthesized by sim.le and effcient low tem.erature m.thod. The structure and m.rphology of the ZnO-CeO2 nanostructures were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction （XRD） and field em.ssion scanning electron m.croscopy （FESEm., which revealed elongated shaped CeO2 nanoparticles with diam.ters of 40–90 nm.distributed on the surface of elongated ZnO nanostructures with diam.ters of 50–200 nm.（edge–centre）. Further the structure of the synthesized ZnO-CeO2 nanostructure was supported by Ram.n spectra and Fourier transform.infrared spectroscopy （FTIR）. UV-vis absorption spectrum.was used to confirm.the optical properties of the CeO2 doped ZnO nanostructures. Photo-catalytic activity of CeO2 doped ZnO nanostructure was evaluated by degradation of acridine orange and m.thylene blue which degraded 84.55% and 48.65% in 170 m.n, respectively. ZnO-CeO2 nanostructures also showed good sensitivity （0.8331 μA·cm.2·（m.l/l）-1） in short response tim. （10 s） by applying to chem.cal sensing using ethanol as a target com.ound by I-V technique. These degradation and chem.cal sensing properties of ZnO-CeO2 nanostructures are of great im.ortance for the application of ZnO-CeO2 system.as a photo-catalyst and chem.cal sensor.
