The magnesium alloys are the next-generation lightweight metal materials;however, the production of the complex shape components of thermo-mechanical processed magnesium alloys is very limited in comparison to their die-casted counterparts. Both high strain rate and low-temperature processing are required to save time and cost for the project. Uniaxial tensile testing has been vastly used for determining the plasticity of magnesium alloys at elevated temperatures. Therefore, this review article sheds light on superplastic behaviors under the uniaxial tensile loading of different magnesium alloys. This review also emphasizes low and high-temperature superplasticity, high strain rate superplasticity, deformation mechanism, thermal stability, texture evaluation, and fracture mechanism of extruded/rolled and severe plastic deformed magnesium alloys. At the end of the review, some technical issues have been addressed which can be beneficial for further enhancement in the superplasticity of magnesium alloys.

This study purpose is to connect the proxy of financial development which is total banking sector’s deposits with the economic growth in North *** reason for using the total deposit differently with the existing literature is because North Cyprus is bank-based financial ***,this study provides an analysis of the connection between finance-growth nexus in North Cyprus from 1978 through 2015,using the autoregressive distributed lag(ARDL)model and combined cointegration to evaluate and verify the *** addition,this research added the inflation rate to the model specification to investigate the inflation-growth *** results revealed that both methods of cointegration provided robust evidence for a long-run relationship between financial debt and *** ARDL long-run and short-run coefficients showed the positive impact of depth and the negative impact of inflation on economic growth,thereby confirming the strength of the financegrowth and inflation-growth ***,financial depth had a larger coefficient than the inflation ***,the VECM Granger causality test provided evidence for unidirectional causality from the total deposits and inflation rate to economic growth in North *** results are significant for the policymakers of North Cyprus because the findings show that economic growth can be improved by enhancing the deposit rates in the financial system.

The empirical relationship between annual daily maximum temperature(ADMT)and annual daily maximum rainfall(ADMR)was *** data were collected from four weather stations located in Adelaide,South Australia,from 1988 to *** to the influence of sea surface temperature on rainfall and temperature,the distance from the weather station to the sea was considered in the selection of weather *** weather stations near the sea and two inland weather stations were *** non-parametric statistical tests(Kruskal–Wallis,Mann–Whitney,and correlation)were applied to perform statistical analysis on the ADMT and ADMR *** was revealed that the temperature and rainfall in South Australia varies according to weather station *** distance from the sea to the weather station was found to have limited influence on temperature and ***,with the 0.05 level of significance,the association between ADMT and ADMR near sea stations is not as significant as the association between the two inland weather *** is relatively unrealistic to use ADMR to predict ADMT,or vice versa,since their correlation is not statistically significant(Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient:−0.106).

AIM: To study diagnostic laparoscopy as a tool for excluding donors on the day of surgery in living donor liver transplantation (LDLT).METHODS: This study analyzed prospectively collected data from all potential donors for LDLT. all of the donors were subjected to a three-step donor evaluation protocol at our institution. Step one consisted of a clinical and social evaluation, including a liver profile, hepatitis markers, a renal profile, a complete blood count, and an abdominal ultrasound with Doppler. Step two involved tests to exclude liver diseases and to evaluate the donor’s serological status. This step also included a radiological evaluation of the biliary anatomy and liver vascular anatomy using magnetic resonance cholan-giopanc reatography and a computed tomography (CT) angiogram, respectively. A CT volumetric study was used to calculate the volume of the liver parenchyma. Step three included an ultrasound-guided liver biopsy. Between November 2002 and May 2009, sixty-nine potential living donors were assessed by open exploration prior to harvesting the planned part of the liver. Between the end of May 2009 and October 2010, 30 potential living donors were assessed laparoscopically to determine whether to proceed with the abdominal incision to harvest part of the liver for donation. RESULTS: Ninety-nine living donor liver transplants were attempted at our center between November 2002 and October 2010. Twelve of these procedures were aborted on the day of surgery (12.1%) due to donor findings, and eighty-seven were completed (87.9%). These 87 liver transplants were divided into the following groups: Group A, which included 65 transplants that were performed between November 2002 and May 2009, and Group B, which included 22 transplants that were performed between the end of May 2009 and October 2010. The Jabal Mabal-prospect of al Bayda area is covered by meta-volcano sedimentary rocks. The importance of the study area comes from previous studies, which proved that the area has mineralization zones at the periphery of Jabal al-Mabal. These mineralized zones lie along northwest-southeast shear zones, which occur inside the meta-volcanic rocks. The previous studies concluded that the mineralization was mostly associated with sulphides, especially at the reduction zones. These sulphides give a good response to electrical or electromagnetic techniques. The present study uses electrically induced polarization and Genie electromagnetic surveys to explore the extension of the mineralization zones at the *** self-potential (SP) technique shows numerous of mineralized zones. Most of these zones are distributed in the southern area along the contact between the quartz and gabbro. The induced polarization (IP) method has been applied on the selected profiles to delineate the subsurface contact between calcite, gabbro and quartz in al-Jarra Valley and to calculate the shape and depth of the mineralization zones in the subsurface along these profiles. The Genie electromagnetic survey, which has been applied on selected profiles, delineated some weak mineralization occurrences corresponding to the shear zones. The integration of the results obtained using these three techniques, in addition to the different ground geophysical methods previously used, makes it possible to determine the most appropriate zones for development of exploration at the area of investigation.

In this research,a detailed multi-physics study has been carried out by numerically simulating a solid fractured gun barrel for 20 thermo-mechanical *** numerical model is based on thermal effects,mechanical stress fields and fatigue crack ***-plastic material data of modified AISI 4340 at temperatures ranging from 25 to 1200℃and at strain rates of 4,16,32 and 48 s^(-1) was acquired from high-temperature compression *** was used as material property data in the simulation *** boundary conditions applied are kept similar to the working gun barrel during continuous firing.A methodology has been provided to define thermo-mechanically active surface-to-surface type interface between the crack faces for a better approximation of stresses at the crack *** of results from non-autofrettaged and autofrettaged simulation models provide useful information about the evolution of strains and stresses in the barrel at different points under combined thermo-mechanical loading cycles in both *** effect of thermal fatigue under already induced compressive yield due to autofrettage and the progressive degradation of the accumulated stresses due to thermo-mechanical cyclic loads on the internal surface of the gun barrel(mimicking the continuous firing scenario)has been *** between energy release rate at tips of varying crack lengths due to cyclic thermo-mechanical loading in the non-autofrettaged and autofrettaged gun has been carried out.

The present study deals with colonization potential of plant growth promoting bacterial strains (Ochrobactrum intermedium, Bacillus cereus and Brevibacterium sp.) on Vigna radiata roots. The roots were heavily colonized with O. intermedium and B. cereus as compared to Brevibacterium sp. O. intermedium mainly colonized rhizoplane while B. cereus occurred both on the rhizoplane and near root zone. O. intermedium and B. cereus were found to be present both on the rhizoplane and near root zone, while Brevibacterium only in the rhizosphere in the form of groups. The cells of B. cereus were found more in the sites where root exudates were existed. From the above results it was observed that the number of O. intermedium cells were large at root exudate site. Retroperitoneal fibrosis (RPF) is a rare condition of unclear etiology. It can cause ureteral obstruction. We present the unique case of a 54 years old female, who initially presented with spontaneous perforation of the cecum. Upon exploring the abdomen, the classical glistening white, unyielding retroperitoneal fibrosis was encountered. A right hemicolectomy was performed. Subsequently, the patient presented with bilateral ureteral obstruction, and later on with small bowel obstruction. Ureteral obstruction was treated with stents, and small bowel obstruction was treated with bypass. To our knowledge no case of idiopathic RPF presenting with features of both bilateral ureteral and small bowel obstruction has been reported in the literature.
