This paper deals with the boundary control problem of the unforced generalized Burgers-Huxley equation with high order nonlinearity when the spatial domain is [0, 1]. We show that this type of equations are globally exponential stable in L2 [0, 1] under zero Dirichlet boundary conditions. We use an adaptive nonlinear boundary controller to show the convergence of the solution to the trivial solution and to show that it achieves global asymptotic stability in time. We introduce numerical simulation for the controlled equation using the Adomian decomposition method (ADM) in order to illustrate the performance of the controller.

When analysing the thermal conductivity of magnetic fluids, the traditional Sharma-Tasso-Olver (STO) equation is crucial. The Sharma-Tasso-Olive equation’s approximate solution is the primary goal of this work. The quintic B-spline collocation method is used for solving such nonlinear partial differential equations. The developed plan uses the collocation approach and finite difference method to solve the problem under consideration. The given problem is discretized in both time and space directions. Forward difference formula is used for temporal discretization. Collocation method is used for spatial discretization. Additionally, by using Von Neumann stability analysis, it is demonstrated that the devised scheme is stable and convergent with regard to time. Examining two analytical approaches to show the effectiveness and performance of our approximate solution.

Lamellar Bodies Count (LBC) as a Predictor of Fetal Lung Maturity in Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes Compared to Neonatal Assessment

Background: Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) is a major cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality, affecting approximately 1% of all live births and 10% of all preterm infants. Lamellar bodies represent a storage form of pulmonary surfactant within Type II pneumocytes, secretion of which increases with advancing gestational age, thus enabling prediction of the degree of FLM. Preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM) complicates approximately 1/3 of all preterm births. Birth within 1 week is the most likely outcome for any patient with PPROM in the absence of adjunctive treatments. Respiratory distress has been reported to be the most common complication of preterm birth. Sepsis, intraventricular haemorrhage, and necrotizing enterocolitis also are associated with prematurity, but these are less common near to term. Objective: To assess the efficacy of the amniotic fluid lamellar body counting from a vaginal pool in predicting fetal lung maturity in women with preterm premature rupture of membranes. Methods: This study was conducted at Ain Shams University Maternity Hospital in the emergency ward from January 2019 to September 2019. It included 106 women with singleton pregnancies, gestational age from 28 - 36 weeks with preterm premature rupture of membranes. This study is designed to assess the efficacy of the amniotic fluid lamellar body counting (LBC) from a vaginal pool in predicting fetal lung maturity in women with preterm premature rupture of membranes. Results: The current study revealed a highly significant increase in the lamellar body count in cases giving birth to neonates without RDS compared to that cases giving birth to neonates with RDS. Also, no statistically significant difference between LBC and age, parity and number of previous miscarriages in the mother was found. Multicomponent synthesis and designing of tetrasubstituted imidazole compounds catalyzed via ionic-liquid for acid steel corrosion protection:Experimental exploration and theoretical calculations

Five new tetrasubstituted imidazoles were designed with outstanding yields(83%-92%) in the occurrence of ionic liquid-based-pyridinium as a catalyst. The constructions of all synthesized derivatives were established by spectral tools and their purities were verified using thin-layer chromatography(TLC), displaying single-spot. The performance of corrosion protection of the prepared imidazole derivatives was examined theoretically and practically for acid steel corrosion. The experimental study was conducted by electrochemical(electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and Tafel polarization(PPS)) *** findings from the used approaches concluded that the synthesized compounds were wellorganized inhibitors with an efficiency of 90.7%-98.5% at 50℃ and 0.7 mmol·L^(-1). The Tafel polarization results indicate the protective action of the additives was under mixed-monitoring. The additive adsorption on the electrode interface performed as a distinguished aspect for protection. The surface exploration on the blank and protected metal was completed by field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM). Computational studies by Monte Carlo(MC) simulation and quantum chemical calculation(DFT)were related to practical findings. The corrosion protection adsorption mechanism was reinforced by the preferable fitted Langmuir isotherm model. All findings from the applied-inspected approaches alternately confirm each other.

Ivermectin is a US Food and Drug Administration(FDA)-approved antiparasitic agent with antiviral and anti-inflammatory *** recent studies reported the possible anti-inflammatory activity of ivermectin in respiratory injuries,its potential therapeutic effect on pulmonary fibrosis(PF)has not been *** study aimed to explore the ability of ivermectin(0.6 mg/kg)to alleviate bleomycin-induced biochemical derangements and histological changes in an experimental PF rat *** can provide the means to validate the clinical utility of ivermectin as a treatment option for idiopathic *** results showed that ivermectin mitigated the bleomycin-evoked pulmonary injury,as manifested by the reduced infiltration of inflammatory cells,as well as decreased the inflammation and fibrosis ***,ivermectin decreased collagen fiber deposition and suppressed transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)and fibronectin protein expression,highlighting its anti-fibrotic *** study revealed for the first time that ivermectin can suppress the nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain(NOD)-like receptor family pyrin domain-containing protein 3(NLRP3)inflammasome,as manifested by the reduced gene expression of NLRP3 and the apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a caspase recruitment domain(ASC),with a subsequent decline in the interleukin-1β(IL-1β)*** addition,ivermectin inhibited the expression of intracellular nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)and hypoxia‑inducible factor‑1α(HIF-1α)proteins along with lowering the oxidative stress and apoptotic ***,this study revealed that ivermectin could ameliorate pulmonary inflammation and fibrosis induced by *** beneficial effects were mediated,at least partly,via the downregulation of TGF-β1 and fibronectin,as well as the suppression of NLRP3 inflammasome through modulating the expression of HIF‑1αand NF-κB.
