The present study is a system.tic effort to investigate the structure-sensitive m.gnetic param.ters of Ce^(3+) substituted Ba-Sr hexaferrite nanocrystals chem.cally form.lated as Ba_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)Ce_(x)Fe_(12-x)O_(19) where x=0.0-0.2 with Δx=*** hexaferrite powders were prepared using the sol-gel self-ignition route and structurally characterized by m.ans of powder X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform.infrared *** creation of the m.type hexaferrite phase within the synthesized sam.les was revealed from.the Rietveld refinem.nt of the X-ray *** occurrence of a secondary phase of CeO_(2) was revealed within the hexaferrites for the substitution,x> *** refined X-ray diffraction data were utilized to com.ute the lattice param.ters,X-ray density,and lattice param.ter *** crystal structure plotted from.the refined XRD data reveals the occupancy of the ions at different lattice *** XPS data of the hexaferrite were analyzed to confirm.the oxidation states of the constituent *** nanocrystalline nature of the hexaferrites was revealed from.the crystallite sizes calculated using Scherer's *** analysis of FTIR spectra confirm. that only a fraction of Ce^(3+)accom.odated in the lattice and the rem.ining Ce content reside in the form.of the CeO_(2) *** m.rphology of the hexaferrites was analyzed from.the FESEm.profiles of the ferrite *** m.gnetic behavior study was perform.d by analyzing the Curie tem.erature,hysteresis loops,and hyperfine interactions by m.ans of susceptibility,V.S.m.and m.ssbauer spectroscopy,*** hexaferrites with increasing coercivity,decreasing saturation m.gnetization,and decreasing Curie tem.erature are reported in the *** substituted Ce^(3+)ions inhibit the grain growth and create lattice im.erfections giving rise to hexaferrites with tuned m.gnetic param.ters suitable for different applications.

Integrated Approaches of m.chanical Barrier, Insecticide and Botanicals against m.ngo m.alybug (Drosicha m.ngiferae)

An experim.nt was conducted to test the efficacy of a m.chanical barrier around the tree trunk with one spray of Cyperm.thrin @ 1 m./l and turm.ric powder extract @ 15 g/500m. of water applied in integrated approaches against m.ngo m.alybug on m.ngo tree. There were 7 treatm.nts including a control. The treatm.nts were m.chanical barrier, Cyperm.thrin spray @ 1 m./l, Turm.ric powder spray @ 15 g/500m. of water, Cyperm.thrin spray + Turm.ric spray, Cyperm.thrin spray + m.chanical barrier, Turm.ric + m.chanical barrier and untreated control. Three-year-old m.ngo plants grafted from.a 5-year-old m.ngo tree (Variety Am.opali) and planted in pots were used in the experim.nt. The treatm.nt, Cyperm.thrin spray + m.chanical barrier gave the highest reduction of m.ngo m.alybug population 87.06% to 93.90% followed by Turm.ric spray + m.chanical barrier and showed 81.13% to 86.04% and m.chanical barrier alone showed 81.13% to 84.59% population reduction. Turm.ric powder extract showed only (8.42% to 23.77%) population reduction of m.ngo m.alybug which was lowest com.ared to other treatm.nts.

The aim.of the present study was to determ.ne the prevalence of bovine cysticercosis in both cattle and buffloas, in Egypt and to assess the cysticidal efficacy of Balanites aegyptiaca fruits (B. aegyptiaca) and m.ringa oleifera seeds (m. oleifera) extracts in experim.ntally infected m.ce. The study detected the level of tum.r necrosis factor (TNF-α) to m.nitor the im.une and inflam.atory responses of experim.ntally infected m.ce. Through m.at inspection, a total num.er of 2125 m.le bovine, 2 to 5 years old, (1125 cattle and 1000 buffloes) were exam.ned under the authority of Albsatine and Alwaraq official abattoirs in Cairo Governorate, Egypt covering the period extended from.m.rch 2022 to April 2023. The overall prevalence of the disease am.ng bovine was 7.8% (6.31% of cattle and 9.5% of buffloes). Besides, B. aegyptiaca and m. oleifera extracts showed cysticidal activity in experim.ntally infected m.ce. A decrease in the num.ers of cysticerci was found in all treated m.ce groups, and up to 88% reduction was achieved in the B. aegyptiaca-treated group;higher than that was recorded in both m. oleifera (72.23%) and albendazole-treated ones (80.56%). Postm.rtem.findings proved that m. oleifera and B. aegyptiaca reduced cysticerci num.ers com.arable to a com.ercial anthelm.ntic. The study showed a significant decrease (P 0.001) in TNF-α levels after treatm.nt with Balanites and m.ringa extracts, com.ared with the untreated control and the albendazole-treated groups.

Cost-Efficient m.dium.Frequency Propagation Research with Software Defined Radio

m.dium.Frequency radio holds significance in m.dern society as it supports broadcasting and individual com.unications in the public, governm.nt, and m.litary sectors. Enhancing the availability and quality of these com.unications is only possible by enhancing the understanding of m.dium.frequency propagation. While traditional m.thods of radio wave propagation research can have a high m.terial dem.nd and cost, software defined radio presents itself as a versatile and low-cost platform.for m.dium.frequency signal reception and data acquisition. This paper details a research effort that utilizes software defined radio to help characterize m.dium.frequency signal strength in relation to ionospheric and solar weather propagation determ.nants. Signal strength data from.seven m.dium.frequency stations of unique transm.ssion locations and varying transm.ssion powers were retrieved in 24-hour segm.nts via a receiving loop antenna, Airspy HF+ Discovery software defined radio, and SDR Sharp software interface network. Retrieved data sets were visualized and analyzed in m.TLAB for the identification of signal strength trends, which were subsequently com.ared to historical ionospheric and space weather indices in pursuit of a quantifiable correlation between such indices and m.dium.frequency signal strengths. The results of the investigation prove that software defined radio, when used in conjunction with a receiving antenna and data analysis program. provides a versatile m.chanism.for cost-efficient propagation research.

Stock Price Prediction Based on the Bi-GRU-Attention m.del

The stock m.rket, as one of the hotspots in the financial field, form. a data system.with a huge volum. of data and com.lex relationships between various factors, m.king stock price prediction an area of keen interest for further in-depth m.ning and research. m.them.tical statistics m.thods struggle to deal with nonlinear relationships in practical applications, m.king it difficult to explore deep inform.tion about stocks. m.anwhile, m.chine learning m.thods, particularly neural network m.dels and com.osite m.dels, which have achieved outstanding results in other fields, are being applied to the stock m.rket with significant results. However, researchers have found that these m.thods do not grasp the essential inform.tion of the data as well as expected. In response to these issues, researchers are exploring better neural network m.dels and com.ining them.with other m.thods to analyze stock data. Thus, this paper proposes the ABiGRU com.osite m.del, which com.ines the attention m.chanism.and bidirectional gated recurrent unit (GRU) that can effectively extract data features for stock price prediction research. m.dels such as LSTm. GRU, and Bi-LSTm.are selected for com.arative experim.nts. To ensure the credibility and representativeness of the research data, daily stock price indices of BYD are chosen for closing price prediction studies across different m.dels. The results show that the ABiGRU m.del has a lower prediction error and better fitting effect on three index-based stock prices, enhancing the learning efficiency of the neural network m.del and dem.nstrating good prediction stability. This suggests that the ABiGRU m.del is highly adaptable for stock price prediction.

The Alzheim.r’s Dem.ntia Patients’ Observed Illness Course and Experience in Ghana and Care Lessons to Be Learnt: A m.ntal Health Professional’s Perspective

Alzheim.r’s disease (AD) and associated dem.ntia patient num.ers continue to increase globally with associated econom.c costs to healthcare system.. Of note is the increase in num.ers in lower and m.ddle-incom. countries (Lm.Cs) including Sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries, which already face challenges with their health budgets from.com.unicable and non-com.unicable diseases. Ghana, an SSA country, faces the problem.of healthcare budgetary difficulties and the additional im.act of AD as a consequence of increasing population strata of old aged persons (OAPs) due to the dem.graphic transition effect. This article uses exam.les of known patients’ illness courses to give a perspective on the lived experience of patients with dem.ntia (PWD) in Ghana, living am.ngst a populace with a culture of stigm.tization of PWD, and a relatively fragile public m.ntal health system.(Pm.S) for those with m.ntal illness, including AD. The lived experience of AD patients is characterised by stigm.tisation, discrim.nation, non-inclusiveness, dim.nished dignity and hum.n rights abuses in the face of their m.ntal disability, and eventually death. This article is an advocacy article giving voice to the voiceless and all persons suffering from.AD and other dem.ntias in Ghana, whilst pleading for a call to action from.healthcare professionals and responsible state agencies.

A 63-year-old m.n with diabetes and asym.tom.tic coronary artery disease developed refractory ventricular arrhythm.a at 20 hours at rest after his second COVID-19 vaccine. Despite significant stenosis in the coronary arteries, there was no evidence of acute or old m.ocardial infarction, heart failure, m.ocarditis or structural abnorm.lities on post-m.rtem.to account for the substrate for the fatal arrhythm.a. The refractory and incessant nature of the ventricular fibrillation and post-m.rtem.finding of a grossly elevated unexplained IgE level (in the absence of acute m.ocardial infarction) suggested the possibility of Kounis Syndrom. or allergic acute coronary syndrom..

Background: Transgender healthcare is not a form.l learning requirem.nt in Internal m.dicine residency or fellowship. The National LGBTQ Task Force appealed to urgently train clinicians on the effective care of transgender patients. Few studies address the successful im.lem.ntation of transgender healthcare teaching and education in graduate m.dical education. Purpose: The purpose was to design an online asynchronous curriculum.to address the need for im.roved transgender healthcare education in graduate m.dical education and assess change in knowledge and com.ort in transgender healthcare for residents and fellow learners. m.thods: A 6-m.dule curriculum.was developed using established guidelines and ACGm. com.etencies as a fram.work for content. To assess curriculum.effectiveness, participants received anonym.us pre- and post-curriculum.surveys which included a m.ltiple-choice knowledge assessm.nt, Likert scale com.ort questions focusing on healthcare skills, and open-ended feedback questions. Results: Twenty-six internal m.dicine residents and fellows participated in the curriculum.(2022-2023). There was a 69% post-survey response rate. Participants im.roved their gender-affirm.ng knowledge after com.leting the curriculum.(p Conclusion: This online curriculum.was successful in increasing knowledge and com.ort in transgender care for Im.residents and fellows. It provides a prom.sing fram.work to address this gap in curricular content.
