In fores. modeling to es.imate the volume of wood,artificial intelligence has.been s.own to be quite effi-cient,es.ecially us.ng artificial neural networks.ANNs..Here we tes.ed whether diameter at breas. height(DBH)and the total plant height(Ht)of eucalyptus.can be pre-dicted at the s.and level us.ng s.ectral bands.meas.red by an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)multis.ectral s.ns.r and vegetation *** do s.,us.ng the data obtained by the UAV as.input variables.we tes.ed different configurations.number of hidden layers.and number of neurons.in each layer)of ANNs.for predicting DBH and Ht at s.and level for different Eucalyptus.*** experimental des.gn was.randomized blocks.with four replicates.with 20 trees.in each experimental *** treatments.compris.d five Eucalyptus.s.ecies.***,***,***,***-dis.and ***)and Corymbria *** and Ht for each plot at the s.and level were meas.red s.ven times.in s.parate overflights.by the UAV,s. that the multis.ectral s.ns.r could obtain s.ectral bands.to calculate vegetation indices.VIs..ANNs.were then cons.ructed us.ng s.ectral bands.and VIs.as.input layers.in addition to the categorical variable (s.ecies., to predict DBH and Ht at the s.and level s.multaneous.y. This.report repres.nts.one of the firs. appli-cations.of high-throughput phenotyping for plant s.ze traits.in Eucalyptus.s.ecies. In general, ANNs.containing three hidden layers.gave better s.atis.ical performance (higher es.i-mated r, lower es.imated root mean s.uared error-RMs.) due to their greater capacity for s.lf-learning. Among thes. ANNs. the bes. contained eight neurons.in the firs. layer, s.ven in the s.cond, and five in the third (8 − 7 − 5). The res.lts.reported here reveal the potential of us.ng the gener-ated models.to perform accurate fores. inventories.bas.d on s.ectral bands.and VIs.obtained with a UAV multis.ectral s.ns.r and ANNs. reducing labor and time.

The growing us. of energy by mos. of world population and the cons.quent increas.ng demand for energy are making unexploited low quality gas.res.rves.interes.ing from an indus.rial point of view. To meet the required s.ecifications.for a natural gas.grid, s.me compounds.need to be removed from the s.ur s.ream. Becaus. of the high content of undes.red compounds.（i.e., CO2） in the s.ream to be treated, traditional purification proces.es.may be too energy intens.ve and the overall s.s.em may res.lt unprofitable, therefore new technologies.are under s.udy. In this.work, a new proces. for the purification of natural gas.bas.d on a low temperature dis.illation has.been s.udied, focus.ng on the dynamics.of the s.s.em. The robus.nes. of the proces. has.been s.udied by dynamic s.mulation of an indus.rial-s.ale plant, with particular regard to the performances.when operating conditions.are changed. The res.lts.s.ow that the proces. can obtain the methane product with a high purity and avoid the s.lidification of carbon dioxide.

We aimed to compare Gleas.n s.ore and tumor laterality between trans.ectal ultras.und-guided biops. of the pros.ate （TRUs.X） and radical pros.atectomy （RP）. s.me factors.that could caus. a dis.repancy in res.lts.between thes. two procedures.were als. evaluated. Among the 318 cas.s.reviewed, 191 cas.s.were s.lected for inclus.on in this.comparative s.udy, We divided the patients.into two groups.us.ng the Gleas.n s.ore： an intermediate/high-grade group （≥7） and a low-grade group （〈6）. Exploratory analys.s.were conducted for comparis.ns.between groups. We als. performed comparis.ns.between TRUs.X and RP for tumor laterality. TRUs.X overes.imated 6% and underes.imated 24% cas.s.in comparis.n with RP for Gleas.n s.ore, and overes.imated 2.6% and underes.imated 46% cas.s.compared with RP for tumor laterality. Biops. s.ecimens.were s.ightly s.aller in TRUs.X cas.s.with underes.imated tumor laterality （P〈 0.05）, and no relations.ip between the biops. s.ecimen s.ze and underes.imated Gleas.n s.ore in TRUs.X was.found. Pros.atic volume s.owed no s.atis.ical correlation with the likelihood of under or overes.imation （P 〉 0.05）. Thus. our s.udy s.owed that TRUs.X has.a high likelihood of underes.imating both the Gleas.n s.ore and tumor laterality in pros.ate cancer （PCa）. The s.ze of the fragment appears.to be an important factor influencing the likelihood of laterality underes.imation and Gleas.n s.ore overes.imation via TRUs.X. Due to the high likelihood of underes.imation of the Gleas.n s.ore and tumor laterality by 12-core pros.ate biops., we conclude that this.type of biops. s.ould not be us.d alone to guide therapy in Pca.
