Groundwater serves as an important water source for residents in and around mining *** achieve scientific planning and efficient utilization of water resources in mining areas,it is essential to figure out the chemical formation process and the ground water sulfur cycle that transpire after the coal mining *** on studies of hydrochemistry and D,^(18)O-H_(2)O,^(34)S-SO_(4)isotopes,this study applied principal component analysis,ion ratio and other methods in its attempts to reveal the hydrogeochemical action and sulfur cycle in the subsidence area of Pingyu mining *** study discovered that,in the studied area,precipitation provides the major supply of groundwater and the main water chemistry effects are dominated by oxidation dissolution of sulfide minerals as well as the dissolution of carbonate and silicate *** sulfa.e in groundwater primarily originates from oxidation and dissolution of sulfide minerals in coal-bearing strata and human *** mixed sulfa.e formed by the oxidation of sulfide minerals and by human activities continuously recharges the groundwater,promoting the dissolution of carbonate rock and silicate rock in the process.

The continually-discovered large volumes of marine hydrocarbons indicate a huge exploration potential within the carbonate rocks of Ordovician in the Tarim basin,northwestern *** Middle-Upper Ordovician(O2+3)carbonate source rocks are at a highly mature *** rocks presently contain a low amount of total organic carbon(TOC_(pd)≤0.5%)(TOC_(pd) means the present-day TOC).A mass balance approach is used to identify the source rocks that have expelled *** characteristics and origin of hydrocarbon expulsion from low-TOC_(pd) source rocks are studied,which are significant for oil exploration in the *** results showed that a low-TOC_(pd) O2+3 source rock having expelled hydrocarbons was type I and had a very narrow oil *** a high rock maturity and a high original TOC(TOCo)value exceeding 1%,nearly 80%of the generated hydrocarbons were *** content of gammacerane and C28 steranes in the oil and source rock extracts were relatively lean,with a V-shaped distribution of regular steranes,suggesting a possible genetic relation between the low-TOC_(pd) source rocks and the marine oil in the Tabei *** planktonic algae or acritarchs were the main hydrocarbon parent materials,distributed in the subsiding platform-slope *** matter was preserved under reducing conditions,and source rocks were formed with a fa.orable kerogen type and a moderate hydrocarbon generation *** study illustrates the hydrocarbon expulsion of low TOC_(pd) source rocks in northern Tarim basin,which is greatly significant for analyzing the genesis of marine crude oil in Tarim basin,and evaluating the distribution of marine source *** research method is theoretically significant for oil and gas exploration in the same type of highlymature carbonate paleobasins.

Non-centrosymmetric （NCS） structure is an indispensable prerequisite for second-order nonlinear optical （NLO） ***,the mainstream approach for designing new NCS structures still relies on chemical substitution,necessitating an urgent infusion of fresh *** this work,two isomorphic sulfides AeMn6Ga6S16（Ae=Ca,1;Sr,2） are afforded by modifying the skeleton of centrosymmetric （CS） Mn2Ga2S5via introducing strong electropositive alkaline-earth ***,the incorporation of Ca2+/Sr2+cations allows the elementary[MnGaS9]∞chains to reconfigure into bumpy[MnS6]-[GaS4]layers in a new engagement manner,thus enabling the conversion from CS to NCS *** modifications cause not only strong second-harmonic generation （SHG） responses （～1.5×benchmark AgGaS2@1,700 nm）,but also significantly feasible bandgaps（2.60–2.64 e V） compared to the sulfide Mn2Ga2S5（1.36 eV）,which ultimately fa.ilitate ultrahigh laser-induced damage thresholds （4.4–6.6×AgGaS2@1,064 nm for compounds 1 and 2）.The present study offers an ingenious approach for the transformation of CS to NCS structure.

background Brucellosis is a severe zoonotic disease that is often overlooked, particularly in impoverished countries. Timely identification of focal complications in brucellosis is crucial for improving treatment outcomes. However, there is currently a lack of established indicators or biomarkers for diagnosing these complications. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate potential warning signs of focal complications in human brucellosis, with the goal of providing practical parameters for clinicians to aid in the diagnosis and management of *** A multi-center cross-sectional study was conducted in China from December 2019 to August 2021. The study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics and complications of patients with brucellosis using a questionnaire survey and medical record system. The presence of warning signs for complications was assessed using univariate and multivariate logistic regression models. Receiver operating characteristic (roC) curves and the area under the curve (AUC) were used for variable screening and model *** A total of 880 participants diagnosed with human brucellosis were enrolled. The median age of the patients was 50 years [interquartile range (IQR): 41.5-58.0], and 54.8% had complications. The most common organ system affected by complications was the osteoarticular system (43.1%), with peripheral arthritis (30.0%), spondylitis (16.6%), paravertebral abscess (5.0%), and sacroiliitis (2.7%) being the most prevalent. Complications in other organ systems included the genitourinary system (4.7%), respiratory system (4.7%), and hematologic system (4.6%). Several fa.tors were found to be associated with focal brucellosis. These fa.tors included a long delay in diagnosis [odds ratio (OR) = 3.963, 95% confidence interval(CI): 1.906-8.238 for > 90 days], the presence of underlying disease (OR = 1.675, 95%CI: 1.176-2.384), arthralgia (OR = 3.197, 95%CI: 1.986-5.148), eye bulging pain (OR = 3.482, 95%CI:

Regulated reaction pathway of CO2 photoreduction into CH4 by metal atom pair sites

The carbon dioxide （CO2） reduction process involves complex protonation, making the resulting product often unpredictable. To achieve the desired product, it is crucial to manipulate the reaction steps. Herein, we build the metal atom pair sites for selective CO2photoreduction into methane. As a prototype, Ni atom pair sites loaded on the Mo S2nanosheets were synthesized and verified by highresolution transmission electron microscopy （HRTEM）,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） and X-rayabsorption near edge structure spectra （XANES）. In-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR） monitors the*CHO group, a crucial intermediate in CH4production,during CO2photoreduction on the Ni-Mo S2nanosheets,whereas this monitoring is not observed for the Mo S2nanosheets. Also, theoretical calculations disclose that over the Ni-Mo S2nanosheet slab, the formation energy of*CHO intermediates is determined to be lower （0.585 e V） than the desorption energy of*CO intermediates for CO production（0.64 e V）, implying the higher selectivity of CH4production. Accordingly, the Ni-Mo S2nanosheets demonstrate a methane formation rate of 27.21μmol·g-1·h-1, coupled with an impressive electron selectivity of 94.2%.
