Our rusults are the natural generalization of inequalities corresponding to the case l = 2.considered by Qing-Ming Cheng and Hong-Cang Yang. When l = 1, our inequalities imply a weaker form of Yang inequalities. We aslo reprove an implication claimed by Cheng and Yang.

To investigate the compression-shear behavior of a new circumferential joint based on the sleeve-straight bolt combination type connection of large-diameter shield tunnels,a series of full-scale joint experiments was carried *** the process of the experiment,more attention was paid to the specimen displacement,bolt stress and joint damage *** the basis of these experiment phenomena,this study discussed the compression-shear bearing process of the new connector,analyzed the damage mode of the joint structure,and finally evaluated the performance of the new *** is found that the bearing process of the joint can be divided into four stages:the transitional stage for overcoming the friction of the concrete,the sleeve bearing stage for the sleeve bearing shear loads alone,the combined bearing stage for bearing shear loads by the connector system,and the structural damage stage for structural instability and *** speaking,affected by connector position and hand hole,the positive compression-shear stiffness of the joint is less than the negative compression-shear stiffness,and the positive shear strength of the joint is greater than the negative shear *** increase of longitudinal axial force will improve the compression-shear performance of the *** relationship between longitudinal axial force and joint stiffness is a logarithmic *** use of new type of connector can effectively improve the compression-shear stiffness of joints under low shear loads,but the application of straight bolts will lose part of the strength performance.

Objective:To assess the efficacy and safety of Sanjie Analgesic Capsule(SAC)in Chinese patients with endometriosis-associated ***:This was a multicenter,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled trial conducted at 15 centers between November 2.13 and July 2.17 in *** 32. patients with endometriosis were randomized at a 3:1 ratio to the SAC group(2.1 cases)and placebo group(82.cases)by stratified block *** in the SAC or placebo groups were given SAC or placebo 1.6 g 3 times per day,orally,respectively since the first day of menstruation for 3 consecutive menstrual *** primary endpoint was clinical response to dysmenorrhea evaluated using a 10-point Visual Analogue Scale at 3 and 6 *** secondary endpoint was the pain score evaluated by VAS(chronic pelvic pain,defecation pain,and dyspareunia)at 3 and 6 months,and the pain recurrence rate at 6 *** events(AEs)were recorded during the ***:A total of 2.1 women were included in the SAC group,and 82.were in the placebo *** these women,2.7(90.0%)and 71(86.6%)completed the intervention,*** 3 months,overall response rate(ORR)was significantly higher in women administered SAC(80.1%)compared with those who received a placebo(30.5%,Pent,the ORR for dysmenorrhea was 62.7%in the SAC group and 31.7%in the placebo group(Pence rates of total AEs events in the SAC and placebo groups were 6.6%and 9.8%,respectively,and no significant difference was shown between the two groups(P=0.339).Conclusion:SAC is well-tolerated and may improve dysmenorrhea in women with endometriosis-associated pain.

Dysfunction of peripheral blood dendritic cells from patients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection

AIM: To identify the property of dendritic cells (DCs) of peripheral blood monocytes (PBMC) in patients with chronic HBV infection. METHODS: Twenty patients with persistent HBV infection were included in this study, 10 healthy subjects being used as a control group. The peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) of T cell-depleted populations were incubated and induced into mature dendritic cells in the RPMI-1640 medium in the presence of cytokines GM-CSF, IL-4, FLt-3,TNF-alpha and 100mL.L(-1 )of fetal calf serum for a total of 10-12.days. The expressions of surface markers on DCs were evaluated using flow cytometric analysis. ELISA method was used to determine the cytokine levels of interleukin-12.(IL-12. and IL-10 in the supernatant produced by DCs. For detection of the stimulatory capacity of DCs to T cell proliferation, mytomycin C-treated DC were incubated with allogenic T cells. RESULTS: A typical morphology of mature DCs from healthy subjects and HBV-infected patients was induced in in vitro incubation, but the proliferation ability and cellular number of DCs from HBV-infected patients significantly decreased compared with healthy individuals. In particular, the expression levels of HLA-DR, CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2. on DC surface from patients were also lower than that from healthy individuals (0.46 vs 0.92.for HLA-DR, 0.44 vs 0.88 for CD80 and 0.44 vs 0.84 for CD86,P2.of DCs from patients in allogenic mixed lymphocyte reaction (AMLR) significantly decreased, but the production level of nitric oxide (NO) by DCs simultaneously increased compared with healthy subjects (86 +/- 15 vs 170 +/- 2. micromol.L(-1), P ents with chronic HBV infection have the defective function and immature phenotype of dendritic cells, which may be associated with the inability of efficient presentation of HBV antigens to host immune system for the clearance of HBV.

AIM: To observe protective effects of taurine on reactive oxygen species generation induced by homocysteine in rat vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC). METHODS: Rat VSMC was incubated with various concentrations of homocysteine and taurine. The lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity which released into culture medium was elevated as an indicator for VSMC injury. The reactive oxygen species (ROS) — hydrogen peroxide (H2.2. and superoxide anion (O2.· )were measured with luminol or lucigenin chemiluminescences method, and the mitochondria Mn-superoxide dismutase (Mn-SOD) and catalase (CAT) were also measured in treated VSMC. RESULTS: LDH leakage from cultured VSMC treated with homocystenie, was increased (Pen co-incubated with taurine (P2.2.eneration from VSMC in a con- centration dependent manner (P2. mmol/L) significantly antago- nized 0.5 mmol/L homocysteine-induced H2.2.eneration in VSMC in a concentration dependent manner (P2.2.eneration in VSMC (P>0.05 vs control). In this study, the superoxide anion in VSMC was not detectable by chemiluminent method. In addition, treatment of VSMC with taurine increased mitochondria Mn-SOD and CAT activity in a concentration dependent manner (Peneration and anti-oxidant enzyme activities in rat VSMC in vitro.
