The sliding forms of weak sloped and horizontal subgrades during the sliding process *** addition,the sliding form of weakly sloped subgrades exhibits considerable slippage and *** accuracy of traditional slice methods for computing the stability safety factor of weakly sloped subgrades is insufficient for a subgrade *** this study,a novel modified Bishop method was developed to improve the accuracy of the stability safety factor for different inclination *** instability mechanism of the weakly sloped subgrade was considered in the proposed method using the“influential force”and“additional force”***“additional force”reflected the weight effect of the embankment fill,whereas the“influential force”reflected the effect of the potential energy *** simulations and experimental tests were conducted to evaluate the advantages of the proposed modified Bishop *** with the traditional slice method,the error between the proposed method and the exact value is less than 32.3%in calculating the safety factor.

This editorial assesses the prognostic value of preoperative inflammatory and nutritional biomarkers in patients undergoing surgical resection for pancreatic *** et al evaluated the ability of seven biomarkers to predict postoperative recovery and long-term *** biomarkers were albumin-to-globulin ratio,prognostic nutritional index(PNI),systemic immune-inflammation index,neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio,platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio,nutritional risk index,and geriatric nutritional risk *** PNI was found to be a strong predictor of both overall and recurrence-free survival,underscoring its clinical relevance in managing patients with pancreatic cancer.

Multi-objective optimization has many important applications and becomes a challenging issue in applied science. In typical multi-objective optimization algorithms, such as Indicator-based Evolutionary Algorithm(IBEA), all of parents and offspring need to be evaluated in every generation, and then the better solutions of them are selected as the next generation candidates. This leads to a large amount of calculation and slows down convergence rate for IBEA related applications. Our discovery is that the evaluation of evolutionary algorithm is a binary classi?cation in nature and a meaningful preselection method will accelerate the convergence rate. Therefore this paper presents a novel preselection approach to improve the performance of the IBEA, in which a SVM(Support Vector Machine) classi?er is adopted to sort the promising solutions from unpromising solutions and then the newly generated solutions are conversely added as train sample to increase the accuracy of the classi?er. Firstly, we proposed an online and asynchronous training method for SVM model with empirical kernel. The initial population is randomly generated among population size, which is used as initial training. In the process of training, SVM classi?er is modi?ed and perfected to adapt to the evolutionary algorithm sample. Secondly, the classi?er divides all the new generated solutions from the whole solution spaces into promising solutions and unpromising ones. And only the promising ones are forwarded for evaluation. In this way, the evaluation time can be greatly reduced and the solution quality can be obviously improved. Thirdly, the promising and unpromising solutions are labeled as new train samples in next generation to re?ne classi?er model. A number of experiments on benchmark functions validates the proposed approach. The results show that IBEA-SVM can signi?cantly outperform previous works.

A Review of Current Researches on Blast Load Effects on Building Structures in China

The damages of building structures subjected to multifarious explosions cause huge losses of lives and property. It is the reason why the blast resistance and explosion protection of building structures become an important research topic in the civil engineering field all over the world. This paper provides an overview of the research work in China on blast loads effect on building structures. It includes modeling blast shock wave propagation and their effects, the dynamic responses of various building structures under blast loads and the measures to strengthen the building structures against blast loads. The paper also discusses the achievements and further work that needs be done for a better understanding of the blast loads' effects on building structures, and for deriving effective and economic techniques to design new or to strengthen existing structures.

The hot corrosion behavior of Ti45 A18.5 Nb alloy was studied in the salt of Na_(2)SO_(4)and/or NaCl at 700℃.To improve the hot corrosion resistance,Ti45 A18.5 Nb alloy was anodized in fluorine-containing solution and pre-oxidized in *** showed that the combination of anodization and pre-oxidation can efficiently enhance the hot corrosion resistance of Ti45 A18.5 Nb alloy contaminated with Na_(2)SO_(4)or Na_(2)SO_(4)+NaCl *** is because anodization and pre-oxidation result in the formation of compact AlOlayer which can act as a diffusion barrier to prevent sulfur,chlorine,and oxygen from attacking the alloy,therefore providing good resistance against hot *** exposed to NaCl deposit,however,no obvious improvement was achieved on the hot corrosion behavior no matter the alloy was anodized or further pre-oxidized in air.

The effects of sulphate-reducing bacteria （SRB） on the 2205 duplex stainless steel in the sea water and oil industry environments were studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS）, potentiodynamic polarization and microorganism analysis. The results showed that the detected SRB was the non-spore bacillus of about 0.8μm×（1.8--2.2）μm in size and the content of S was about 7. 59% in the corrosion products. SRB contributed to the corrosion evolution which caused the corrosion failure of 2205 duplex stainless steel pipe in the liquid hydrocarbon cooler. During the corrosion process, the produced H2S could significantly influence the anodic process and finally accelerate the corrosion. SEM observation indicated that the distribution of SRB on the surface of 2205 duplex stainless steel was nonuniform. X ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis revealed that the surface film was composed of Cr2O3, MoO3 , FeS, FeS2, Fe（OH）2 and FeO after immersing the sample in the SRB medium for 14 d.
