There are many situatio.s in which the ability o. animals to.distinguish between two.similar lo.king o.jects can have significant selective co.sequences. Fo. example, the o.jects that require discriminatio. may be edible versus defended prey, predato.s versus no.-predato.s, o. mates o. varying quality. Wo.king fro. the premise that there are situatio.s in which discriminatio. may be mo.e o. less successful, we hypo.hesized that individuals find it mo.e difficult to.distinguish between stimuli when they enco.nter them sequentially rather than simultaneo.sly. o.r study has wide bio.o.ical and psycho.o.ical implicatio.s fro. the perspective o. signal perceptio., signal evo.utio., and discriminatio., and co.ld apply to.any system where individuals are making relative judgments o. cho.ces between two.o. mo.e stimuli o. signals. While this is a general principle that might seem intuitive, it has no. been experimentally tested in this co.text, and is o.ten no. co.sidered in the design o. mo.els o. experiments, o. in the interpretatio. o. a wide range o. studies. o.r study is different fro. previo.s studies in psycho.o.y in that a) the level o. similarity o. stimuli are gradually varied to.o.tain selectio. gradients, and b) we discuss the implicatio.s o. o.r study fo. specific areas in eco.o.y, such as the level o. perfectio. o. mimicry in predato.-prey systems. o.r experiments pro.ide evidence that it is indeed mo.e difficult to.distinguish between stimuli – and to.learn to.distinguish between stimuli – when they are enco.ntered sequentially rather than simultaneo.sly, even if the intervening time interval is sho.t.

Gro.p navigatio. is o. great impo.tance fo. many animals, such as migrating flo.ks o. birds o. sho.ls o. fish. o.e theo.y states that gro.p membership can impro.e navigatio.al accuracy co.pared to.limited o. less accurate individual navigatio.al ability in gro.ps witho.t leaders (“Many-wro.gs principle”). Here, we simulate leaderless gro.p navigatio. that includes so.ial co.nectio.s as preferential interactio.s between individuals. o.r results suggest that underlying so.ial netwo.ks can reduce navigatio.al erro.s o. gro.ps and increase gro.p co.esio.. We use netwo.k summary statistics, in particular netwo.k mo.ifs, to.study which characteristics o. netwo.ks lead to.these impro.ements. It is netwo.ks in which preferences between individuals are no. clustered, but spread evenly acro.s the gro.p that are advantageo.s in gro.p navigatio. by effectively enhancing lo.g-distance info.matio. exchange within gro.ps. 四川盆地上三叠统须家河组气藏经历了50多年的勘探开发,存在着"储量大、采出低"的难题。工厂化井作业是降低钻完井、井场建设成本,提高作业效率的重要手段。为此,基于北美地区工厂化钻完井作业成功实施的案例,综合分析了四川盆地金秋区块须家河组非常规天然气资源的特点,提出了以下工厂化井作业模式:①采用小井眼结构及单井场最多布36口井,井间地下间距650m的井眼数量优选方案;②采用单排、多井丛且有备用井眼(井丛)的丛式井布局模式;③采用3项交叉作业(钻井+完井+生产)模式,缩短井交付周期;④柔性井场布局设计可以有效地避开地形的限制;⑤选用定制钻机和修井机来完成特定作业目的;⑥作业过程中合理设计离线作业以提高钻完井效率;⑦采用批量完井压裂工厂化模式。这种工厂化井作业可为非常规天然气资源高效、低成本开发提供技术思路和实现手段。
