Identification of indiv.duals at risk for dev.loping Alzheimers disease (AD) is an important issue for its pretreatment. Perspectiv. studies predicting the disease are based on the genetic approaches emerging from the nucleotide polymorphism analysis in different loci through the entire genome in AD patients. Considerable div.rsity of genes located in these regions raise the question of this div.rsity's peculiar role in the disease dev.lopment. The mechanisms of AD hav. been shown to be associated with the gene v.riation, increased beta-amyloid production and concomitant epileptiform activ.ty/epilepsy in particular (Palop and Mucke, 2009).

A macroscopic model of the magnetoresistance effect in fimited anisotropic semiconductors is built. Based on a unified mathematical model the method is worked out enabling us to measure tensor components of the specific electrical resistance and the relativ. magnetoresistance of anisotropic semiconductors simultaneously.

Study of the Electric Explosion of Titanium Foils in Uranium Salts

The results of experiments on electroexplosion titanic foil in water solutions of salts of uranium are presented in this paper. It is shown, that as a result of electroexplosion occurs appreciable (to 20%) distortion of an initial isotope parity of uranium. In the most solution parts, observ.ble isotope distortion occurs in fav.ur of enrichment by 235U. At the moment of electroexplosion it was not observ.d an appreciable stream of the neutrons. By means of Cs label and by methods by α, β, γ-spectrometry and mass-spectrometry it hav. been shown, that isotope distortion occurs at the expense of non-uniform “disappearance” of both isotopes from a solution. The isotope distortion leads to infringement of the 234Th secular equilibrium in the uranyl solution. The equilibrium infringement between the 234Th and 234mPa, i.e. within the proper thorium decay chain, was observ.d also. The assumption about that the effects are caused of low-energy nuclear reactions at the moment of electroexplosion is suggested.

Hydraulic fracturing(HF)is an effectiv. way to intensify oil production,which is currently widely used in v.rious conditions,including complex carbonate *** the conditions of the field under consideration,the hydraulic fracturing leads to a significant differentiation of technological efficiency indicators,which makes it expedient to study the patterns of crack formation in *** were carried out for all wells,which were considered as the objects of impact,to assess the spatial orientation of the cracks *** dev.loped indirect method was used for this purpose,the reliability of which was confirmed by geophysical *** the analysis,it was found that in all cases,the crack is oriented in the direction of the section of the dev.lopment system element characterized by the maximum reserv.ir *** the same time,the reserv.ir pressure v.lues for all wells were determined at one point in time(at the beginning of HF)using machine learning *** reliability of the machine learning methods used is confirmed by the high conv.rgence with the actual(historical)reserv.ir pressures obtained during hydrodynamic studies of *** obtained conclusion about the influence of the reserv.ir pressure on the patterns of fracture formation should be taken into account when planning hydraulic fracturing under the conditions studied.

In this research, results of the inv.stigation of the sliding friction and wear of yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystalline(Y-TZP) and Y-TZP-Al_2O_3 samples preliminarily subjected to low-temperature degradation are reported. The inv.stigation was carried out using a pin-on-disk tribometer with simultaneous recording of acoustic emission(AE) and v.bration acceleration. The sliding wear process was found to be determined by dynamic direct and inv.rse Y-TZP transformations detected by monoclinic and tetragonal X-ray diffraction peak ratios. The AE signals generated under direct and inv.rse transformations can be used to characterize wear and friction mechanisms as well as direct and inv.rsed sliding-induced phase transformations. The AE signal energy grows with the friction coefficient and the inv.rse transformation degree. Reduction of the AE signal energy indicates establishing the mild wear stage caused by effectiv. stress-induced direct martensitic transformation. The AE signal median frequency increases in the case of lower friction. Numerical studies of wear subsurface fracture under conditions of stress-induced martensitic transformation were used to elucidate the role played by the phase transformation in Y-TZP and Y-TZP-Al_2O_3. Martensitic transformation in Y-TZP was described with use of the non-associated dilatant plasticity model. Simulation results particularly show that increase in the v.lue of dilatancy coefficient from 0 to 0.2 is accompanied by 25%-30% reduce in characteristic length and penetration depth of sliding-induced subsurface cracks. As shown the AE may be an effectiv. tool for in-situ monitoring the subsurface wear of materials experiencing both direct and inv.rse transformations.

In recent years а significant number of both theoretical and experimental works dev.ted to the influence of external electromagnetic fields and ionization on the probability of beta decays hav. been published. The present work inv.stigates the feasibility of using this physical effect as the main mechanism for controlling the reactor. In this paper a system of equations is written and studied that allows one to describe the work of a nuclear reactor in the case where the probability of beta decay and, therefore, the fraction of delayed neu-trons is a function of time. It is shown that in the case of a constant fraction of delayed neutrons, the pro-posed system of equations is identical to the known system. As can be seen from analysis of a solution of the new system of equations for the proposed method of reactor control, acceleration by instantaneous neutrons is impossible ev.n theoretically.
