Genome-wide SNP markers provided insights into the reproductive strategy and genetic diversity of the green tide causative species Ulva prolifera in China

Ulva prolifera is the causative species of the annually occurring large-scale green tides in China since 2007.Its specific biological features on reproductivity strategies,as well as intra-species genetic diversity,are still largely unknown,especially at the genome level,despite their importance in understanding the formation and outbreak of massive green tides.In the present study,the restriction site-associated DNA genotyping approach(2b-RAD)was adopted to identify the genome-wide single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)of 54 individual thalli including samples collected from Subei Shoal in 2019 and Qingdao coast from 2019 to 2021.SNPs genotype results revealed that most of the thalli in 2019 and 2020 were haploid gametophytes,while only half of the thalli were gametophytes in 2021,indicating flexibility in the reproductive strategies for the formation of the green tides among different years and the dominance of asexual and vegetative reproductive mode for the floating period.Besides,population analysis was conducted,and it revealed a very low genetic diversity among samples from Subei Shoal and the Qingdao coast in the same year and a higher divergence among samples in different years.The results showed the efficiency of 2b-RAD in the exploration of SNPs in U.prolifera and provided the first genome-wide scale evidence for the origin of the large-scale green tides on the Qingdao coast.This study improved our understanding of the reproductive strategy and genetic diversity of the green tide causative species and will help further reveal the biological causes of the green tide in China.

Full laparoscopic liver resection has been performed widely since it was introduced in the early 1990s.It has been expanded from initial for partial resection of the anterolateral segments to non-restriction of area of the liver[1–3].Anatomical liver resec-tion is considered to have potential superiority than non-anatomic resection in terms of tumor prognosis,thus it is more often rec-ommended in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma[4,5].Recently,laparoscopic segmental liver resection according to the Couinaud classification has been widely performed due to its ad-vantages in minimal invasiveness and tumor prognosis.

Elaborating strengthen mechanism of Pt-Ir solid solution superalloy at finite temperature

Pt-Ir alloy is potential superalloys used above 1300℃because of their high strength and creep resistance.However,the ductility of Pt-Ir alloy has rapidly deteriorated with the increase of Ir,resulting in poor machinability.This work quantitatively evaluated the solid solution strengthening(SSS)and grain refinement strengthening(GRS)of Pt-Ir alloy using first-principles calculations combined with experimental characterization.Here,the stretching force constants in the second nearest neighbor region(SFC^(2nd))of pure Ir(193.7 eV·nm^(-2))are 3.40 times that of pure Pt(57.0 eV·nm^(-2)),i.e.,the interatomic interaction is greatly enhanced with the increase of Ir content,which leads to the decrease of ductility,and modulus misfit plays a dominant role in SSS.Then,the physical mechanisms responsible for the hardness(H_(V))of Pt-Ir alloy,using the power-law-scaled function of electron work function coupled SSS and GRS,are attributed to the electron redistribution caused by different Ir content.Furthermore,a thorough assessment of the thermodynamic characteristics of Pt-Ir binary alloy was conducted,culminating in development of a mapping model that effectively relates enmposition,temperature and strength.The results revealed that the compressive strength incrcases with the Ir content,and the highest strength was observed in Pt_(0.25)Ir_(0.75).This study provides valuable insights into the Pt-Ir alloy system.

The First Ground-based White Light Lunar Polarization Imaging: A New Kind of FeO Observation on the Near Side of the Moon

Lunar optical polarization is a fascinating phenomenon that occurs when sunlight reflects off the surface of the Moon and becomes polarized. This study employs a novel split-focus plane polarimetric camera to conduct the initial white light polarimetric observations on the near side of the Moon. We obtained the linear degree of polarization(DOP) parameters of white light by observation from the eastern and western hemispheres of the Moon. The findings indicate that the white light polarization is lower in the lunar highland than in the lunar maria overall. Combining the analysis of lunar soil samples, we noticed and determined that the DOP parameters of white light demonstrate high consistency with iron oxide on the Moon. This study may serve as a new diagnostic tool for the Moon.

Design and fabrication of compound varifocal lens driven by polydimethylsiloxane film elastic deformation

A compound varifocal lens based on electromagnetic drive technology is designed and fabricated, where the polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) film acts as a driving component, while the PDMS biconvex lens and the plane-concave lens form a coaxial compound lens system. The plane-concave lens equipped with driving coils is installed directly above the PDMS lens surrounded by the annular magnet. When different currents are applied, the annular magnet moves up and down, driving the PDMS film to undergo elastic deformation, and then resulting in longitudinal movement of the PDMS lens. The position change of the PDMS lens changes the focal length of the compound lens system. To verify the feasibility and practicability of this design, a prototype of our compound lens system is fabricated in experiment. Our proposed compound lens shows that its zoom ability reaches 9.28 mm when the current ranges from -0.20 A to 0.21 A.

MXene,an emerging two-dimensional(2D)layered material,has received worldwide attention in various energy storage systems because of its excellent properties.Nevertheless,the low capacity of pristine MXene restricts its application in energy storage devices especially for the lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).To address the above issue,herein,a stable and highly conductive double transition metal MXene(Ti_(2)NbC_(2)T_(x)) is successfully fabricated,which provides enlarged interlayer spacing and excellent conductivity for fast ion diffusion and charge transfer.Taking the Ti_(2)NbC_(2)T_(x)s anode for LIBs,a superior specific capacity of 196.2 mAh·g-1and an excellent long-term cycling stability of~100%after 400cycles under 0.1 A·g^(-1) are achieved for LIBs.In particular,Ti_(2)NbC_(2)T_(x) delivers an impressive capacity retention of 81%over 4000 cycle under 1 A·g^(-1),outperforming the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) and various previously reported MXene-based materials.Our results offer an attractive strategy for the future application of MXene-based materials.

傅里叶变换光谱仪(FTS)因其出色的光谱分辨率而广泛用于太阳活动的观测。在使用过零单边干涉图进行光谱复原时,可能会出现频率泄漏、旁瓣效应以及对零光程差附近的采样数据重复利用,从而导致光谱线的平滑和畸变等问题。为了获得更准确的太阳光谱数据,必须对过零单边干涉图进行加权和切趾操作。对此,文章采用了一种奇次多项式非对称加权切趾函数来处理过零单边干涉图,并探讨了使用不同的切趾函数构建非对称加权切趾函数进行光谱恢复的效果。模拟数据实验的结果表明采用奇次多项式非对称加权切趾函数可以有效地恢复光谱。此外,与Griffiths、相里斌以及SP.Davis提出的加权切趾方法相比,文章中提出的方法表现出较小的误差。最后,将所提出的方法应用于Bruker IFS-125HR FTS采集的干涉图数据,与其他切趾方法相比,使用文中提出的方法可以有效地恢复光谱。

Measurement of the neutron-induced total cross sections of ^(nat)Pb from 0.3 eV to 20 MeV on the Back-n at CSNS

The neutron-induced total cross sections of natural lead have been measured in a wide energy range(0.3 eV-20 MeV)on the back-streaming white neutron beamline(Back-n)at the China Spallation Neutron Source.Neutron energy was determined by the neutron total cross-section spectrometer using the time-of-flight technique.A fast multi-cell fission chamber was used as the neutron detector,and a 10-mm-thick high-purity natural lead sample was employed for the neutron transmission measurements.The on-beam background was determined using Co,In,Ag,and Cd filters.The excitation function of ^(nat)Pb(n,tot)reaction below 20 MeV was calculated using the TALYS-1.96 nuclear-reaction modeling program.The present results were compared with previous results,the evaluated data available in the five major evaluated nuclear data libraries(i.e.,ENDF/B-VIII.0,JEFF-3.3,JENDL-5,CENDL-3.2,and BROND-3.1),and the theoretical calculation curve.Good agreement was found between the new results and those of previous experiments and with the theoretical curves in the corresponding region.This measurement obtained the neutron total cross section of natural lead with good accuracy over a wide energy range and added experimental data in the resonance energy range.This provides more reliable experimental data for nuclear engineering design and nuclear data evaluation of lead.

目的比较经自然腔道取标本手术(NOSES)联合快速康复外科(ERAS)与常规腹腔镜手术治疗直肠癌患者的临床疗效。方法选取2019年1月-2021年12月于解放军联勤保障部队第940医院结直肠肛门外科确诊的100例直肠癌患者为研究对象,其中49例行NOSES联合ERAS治疗(设为观察组),51例行常规腹腔镜直肠癌根治术治疗(设为对照组)。比较两组术后C反应蛋白(CRP)、降钙素原(PCT)、白细胞介素-6(IL-6)、白细胞计数(WBC)、中性粒细胞百分比(NEUT)、K+浓度,术后肠蠕动恢复时间、首次离床活动时间、首次进流食时间、拔除尿管和引流管时间、住院时间,以及术中出血量、淋巴结检出数目、切缘阳性率、并发症发生率、疼痛评分等临床指标。结果观察组术后CRP、PCT、IL-6水平均明显低于对照组(P0.05)。观察组术后肠蠕动恢复时间、首次离床活动时间、首次进流食时间、拔除尿管及引流管时间、住院时间等均短于对照组,手术时间长于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。两组并发症发生率比较差异无统计学意义(4.1%vs.7.8%,P>0.05);观察组术后第1、2、3天的疼痛评分均明显低于对照组(P<0.05)。结论NOSES联合ERAS治疗直肠癌,可缩小手术切口,减轻应激反应及术后疼痛,安全可行,有利于提高疗效,降低并发症发生率,值得推广应用。
