The composition and evolution of interfacial species play a key role during electrocatalytic process.Unveiling the structural evolution and intermediate during catalytic process by in situ characterization can shed new light on the electrocatalytic reaction mechanism and develop highly efficient catalyst.However,directly probing the interfacial species is extremely difficult for most spectroscopic techniques due to complicated interfacial environment and ultra-low surface concentration.Herein,electrochemical core-shell nanoparticle enhanced Raman spectroscopy is utilized to probe the composition and evolution processes of interfacial species on Au@Pt,Au@Co,and Au@PtCo core-shell nanoparticle surfaces.The spectral evidences of interfacial intermediates including hydroxide radical(OH*),superoxide ion(O_(2)^(−)),as well as metal oxide species are directly captured by in situ Raman spectroscopy,which are further confirmed by the both isotopic experiment and density functional theory calculation.These results provide a mechanistic guideline for the rational design of highly efficient electrocatalysts.

为了探明中国北方地区地下滴灌(subsurface drip irrigation,SSDI)与地表滴灌(surface drip irrigation,SDI)节水增产效应的差异,该研究以SDI作为对照,采用Meta分析定量分析了不同条件下SSDI对作物产量和水分利用效率的影响。结果表明,与SDI相比,SSDI可使作物总体增产6.66%(P15~25 cm,滴头流量介于>1.5~<2.5 L/h时,更有利于发挥SSDI优势,节水增产效果显著。研究可为中国北方地区SSDI的推广应用提供理论参考。

脓毒症是一种由感染引起的全身炎症反应综合征,发病率和病死率高。脓毒症诱导的肝损伤(sepsis-induced liver injury,SILI)是脓毒症诱发的多器官综合征的表现之一。目前针对SILI的治疗尚无推荐的药理干预措施,而中医药基于整体观及辨证论治理念治疗SILI,体现出多靶点、多通路的治疗特点,可通过干预炎性因子及炎症信号通路、抗氧化应激、抑制细胞凋亡等全面防治SILI。该文通过回顾总结中医药治疗SILI的实验研究,明确其致病机制和治疗特点,以期为研发或制备新药提供更多的思路和方向。

Ligand-free CsPbBr_(3) with calliandra-like nanostructure for efficient artificial photosynthesis

The low-efficiency CO_(2) uptake capacity and insufficient photogenerated exciton dissociation of current metal halide perovskite(MHP)nanocrystals with end-capping ligands extremely restrict their application in the field of artificial photosynthesis.Herein,we demonstrate that ligand-free CsPbBr_(3) with calliandralike nanostructure(LF-CPB CL)can be synthesized easily through a ligand-free seed-assisted dissolutionrecrystallization growth process,exhibiting significantly enhanced CO_(2) uptake capacity.More specifically,the abundant surface bromine(Br)vacancies in ligand-free MHP materials are demonstrated to be beneficial to photogenerated carrier separation.The electron consumption rate of LF-CPB CL for photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction increases 7 and 20 times over those of traditional ligand-capping CsPbBr_(3)nanocrystal(L-CPB NC)and bulk CsPbBr_(3),respectively.Moreover,the absence of ligand hindrance can facilitate the interfacial electronic coupling between LF-CPB CL and tetra(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin iron(Ⅲ)chloride(Fe-TCPP)cocatalyst,bringing forth significantly accelerated interfacial charge separation.The LF-CPB CL/Fe-TCPP exhibits a total electron consumption rate of 145.6μmol g^(-1) h^(-1) for CO_(2)photoreduction coupled with water oxidation which is over 14 times higher than that of L-CPB NC/FeTCPP.

LetΩbe a bounded smooth domain in RN(N≥3).Assuming that 00 are constants,we consider the existence results for positive solutions of a class of fractional elliptic system below,{(a+b[u]^(2)_(s))(-Δ)^(s)u=vp+h_(1)(x,u,v,▽u,▽v),x∈Ω,(-Δ)^(s)v=u^(q)+h_(2)(x,u,▽,▽u,▽v),x∈Q,u,v>0,x∈Ω,u=v=0,x∈RN\Ω.Under some assumptions of hi(x,u,v,▽u,▽v)(i=1,2),we get a priori bounds of the positive solutions to the problem(1.1)by the blow-up methods and rescaling argument.Based on these estimates and degree theory,we establish the existence of positive solutions to problem(1.1).

In-situ growth of PbI_(2) on ligand-free FAPbBr_(3) nanocrystals to significantly ameliorate the stability of CO_(2) photoreduction

Excellent optical properties involving strong visible light response and superior carrier transport endow metal halide perovskites(MHP)with a fascinating prospect in the field of photocatalysis.Nevertheless,the poor stability of MHP nanocrystals(NCs)in water-contained system,especially without the protection of long alkyl chain ligands,severely restricts their photocatalytic performance.In this context,we report an effortless strategy for the generation of ligand-free MHP NCs based photocatalyst with high water tolerance,by coating PbI_(2)on the surface of ligand-free formamidinium lead bromide(FAPb Br_(3))NCs via the facile procedure of in-situ conversion with the aid of ZnI_(2).Under the protection of PbI_(2)layer,the resultant FAPb Br_(3)/PbI_(2)composite exhibits significantly ameliorated stability in an artificial photosynthesis system with CO_(2)and H_(2)O vapor as feedstocks.Moreover,the formation of compact PbI_(2)layer can accelerate the separation of photogenerated carriers in FAPbBr_(3)NCs,bringing forth a remarkable improvement of CO_(2)photoreduction efficiency with an impressive electron consumption yield of 2053μmol/g in the absence of organic sacrificial agents,which is 7-fold over that of pristine FAPb Br_(3)NCs.

Visualizing Wallerian degeneration in the corticospinal tract after sensorimotor cortex ischemia in mice

Stroke can cause Wallerian degeneration in regions outside of the brain,particularly in the corticospinal tract.To investigate the fate of major glial cells and axons within affected areas of the corticospinal tract following stroke,we induced photochemical infarction of the sensorimotor cortex leading to Wallerian degeneration along the full extent of the corticospinal tract.We first used a routine,sensitive marker of axonal injury,amyloid precursor protein,to examine Wallerian degeneration of the corticospinal tract.An antibody to amyloid precursor protein mapped exclusively to proximal axonal segments within the ischemic cortex,with no positive signal in distal parts of the corticospinal tract,at all time points.To improve visualization of Wallerian degeneration,we next utilized an orthograde virus that expresses green fluorescent protein to label the corticospinal tract and then quantitatively evaluated green fluorescent protein-expressing axons.Using this approach,we found that axonal degeneration began on day 3 post-stroke and was almost complete by 7 days after stroke.In addition,microglia mobilized and activated early,from day 7 after stroke,but did not maintain a phagocytic state over time.Meanwhile,astrocytes showed relatively delayed mobilization and a moderate response to Wallerian degeneration.Moreover,no anterograde degeneration of spinal anterior horn cells was observed in response to Wallerian degeneration of the corticospinal tract.In conclusion,our data provide evidence for dynamic,pathogenic spatiotemporal changes in major cellular components of the corticospinal tract during Wallerian degeneration.

Cobalt-loaded carbon nanotubes boosted aerobic ciprofloxacin transformation driven by sulfide:A comprehensive mechanism investigation

Sulfide oxidation under aerobic conditions can produce active oxygen for the transformation of organic pollutants in aquatic environments.However,the catalytic performance of transition metal-supported carbon material on this process is poor understood.This study found that Co-loaded carbon nanotubes(CNTs)was able to realize the efficient aerobic transformation of antibiotic ciprofloxacin(CIP)by sulfide,with the pseudo-first order reaction rate constant improved from 0.013 h^(-1)without catalyst to 0.44–0.71 h^(-1)with 100 mg/L Co-loaded CNTs.Singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2))was the main active specie playing key roles in the process of CIP aerobic transformation with presence of Co-loaded CNTs.Mechanism studies indicated that the excellent electron transfer ability of Co-loaded CNTs might play an important role to promote the electron transfer and facilitate the formation of intermediate H_(2)O_(2)and^(1)O_(2).Additionally,the Co-loaded CNTs/sulfide system effectively reduced the acute toxicity of organic pollutant,and Co-loaded CNTs showed remarkable cycling stability and negligible leaching.This study gives a better understanding for the Co-loaded CNTs mediated aerobic antibiotics transformation by sulfide,and provide a reference for the application of Co-loaded carbon materials on organics aerobic transformation by sulfide.

Trilogy of drug repurposing for developing cancer and chemotherapy-induced heart failure co-therapy agent

Chemotherapy-induced complications,particularly lethal cardiovascular diseases,pose significant challenges for cancer survivors.The intertwined adverse effects,brought by cancer and its complication,further complicate anticancer therapy and lead to diminished clinical outcomes.Simple supplementation of cardioprotective agents falls short in addressing these challenges.Developing bifunctional co-therapy agents provided another potential solution to consolidate the chemotherapy and reduce cardiac events simultaneously.Drug repurposing was naturally endowed with co-therapeutic potential of two indications,implying a unique chance in the development of bi-functional agents.Herein,we further proposed a novel“trilogy of drug repurposing”strategy that comprises function-based,targetfocused,and scaffold-driven repurposing approaches,aiming to systematically elucidate the advantages of repurposed drugs in rationally developing bi-functional agent.Through function-based repurposing,a cardioprotective agent,carvedilol(CAR),was identified as a potential neddylation inhibitor to suppress lung cancer growth.Employing target-focused SAR studies and scaffold-driven drug design,we synthesized 44 CAR derivatives to achieve a balance between anticancer and cardioprotection.Remarkably,optimal derivative 43 displayed promising bi-functional effects,especially in various self-established heart failure mice models with and without tumor-bearing.Collectively,the present study validated the practicability of the“trilogy of drug repurposing”strategy in the development of bi-functional cotherapy agents.

Recent progress in nanotechnology for cancer therapy

The application of nanotechnology significantly benefits clinical practice in cancer diagnosis, treatment, and management.Especially, nanotechnology offers a promise for the targeted delivery of drugs, genes, and proteins to tumor tissues and therefore alleviating the toxicity of anticancer agents in healthy tissues.This article reviews current nanotechnology platforms for anticancer drug delivery, including polymeric nanoparticles, liposomes, dendrimers, nanoshells, carbon nanotubes, superparamagnetic nanoparticles, and nucleic acid-based nanoparticles [DNA, RNA interference (RNAi), and antisense oligonucleotide (ASO)] as well as nanotechnologies for combination therapeutic strategies, for example, nanotechnologies combined with multidrug-resistance modulator, ultrasound, hyperthermia, or photodynamic therapy.This review raises awareness of the advantages and challenges for the application of these therapeutic nanotechnologies, in light of some recent advances in nanotechnologic drug delivery and cancer therapy.
