Objective To take effective strategies and measures for the prevention and control of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome （HFRS） endemic areas by investigating its dynamic geographical boundaries in Shandong Province, China. Methods The incidence of HFRS from 1982 to 2008 in Shandong Prvince, China, was detected with inverse distance weighting （IDW） interpolation based on geographical information system （GIS）. Dynamic geographical boundaries of HFRS endemic areas in Shandong Province, China, were analyzed by geographical boundary analysis. Results The HTN-type endemic areas of HFRS were located in Linyi City in phase 1 （1982-1986）, the SEO-type endemic areas of HFRS were located in Jining City in phase 2 （1987-2003）, and the endemic areas of HFRS in Jining City gradually disappeared and the endemic areas of HFRS with mixed-types of reservoir rodents were located in Linyi City in phase 3 （2004-2008）. Meanwhile, new endemic areas emerged in the northwestern Shandong province, China. Conclusion The SEO-type endemic areas of HFRS are located in western Shandong Province, China, and the HTN-type endemic areas of HFRS are located eastern Shandong Province, Chin, indicating that the endemic areas of HFRS should be vaccinated and rodents should be controlled.

This paper presents a bio-inspired backstepping adaptive sliding mode control strategy for a novel 3 degree of freedom(3-DOF) parallel mechanism with actuation redundancy. Based on the kinematic model and the dynamic model, a sliding mode controller is designed to assure the tracking performance, and an adaptive law is introduced to approximate the system uncertainty including parameters variation, external disturbances and un-modeled part. Furthermore, a bio-inspired model is introduced to solve the inherent chattering problem of sliding mode control and provide a chattering free control. The simulation and experimental results testify that the proposed bio-inspired backstepping adaptive sliding mode control can achieve better performance(the tracking accuracy,robustness, response speed, etc.) than the conventional slide mode control.

Effects of orthodontic load on the periodontium of autogenously transplanted teeth in beagle dogs

Objective:To observe the periodontal healing of autogenously transplanted teeth loaded orthodontically after autotransplantation in Beagle ***:Forty-eight teeth were autogenously transplanted,24 of which were loaded postoperatively with orthodontic force at different time points and for different *** healing was evaluated by probing pocket depth(PPD),the expression of relevant proteins,and histomorphometric ***:The dental pockets of loaded and non-loaded teeth were both much deeper after the first postoperative week than before transplantation(P<0.05).Later,the PPD,which was measured after postoperative weeks 1,3,5,9 and 13,gradually became *** expressions of alkaline phosphatase(ALP)and basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)were higher in loaded teeth than in non-loaded teeth(P<0.05),and in groups subjected to two weeks duration of loading than in other groups at the same load time point(P<0.05).For the same load duration,the expressions of ALP and bFGF in teeth loaded after postoperative week 4 were higher than those of other treatments(P<0.05).According to histomorphometric analyses,an orthodontic force on transplanted teeth applied after postoperative weeks 4 or 8 for two weeks duration should be favorable for periodontal ***:It is advisable to apply an appropriate magnitude of force on autotransplanted teeth,such as orthodontic force,at appropriate time points and for a suitable duration,to achieve the optimal clinical prognosis following autogenous tooth *** results may serve as a basis for subsequent studies in humans so as to make clinical improvements.

The applications of single-cell and spatial technologies in recent times have revolutionized the present understanding of cellular states and the cellular heterogeneity inherent in complex biological systems. These advancements offer unprecedented resolution in the examination of the functional genomics of individual cells and their spatial context within tissues. In this review, we have comprehensively discussed the historical development and recent progress in the field of single-cell and spatial genomics. We have reviewed the breakthroughs in single-cell multi-omics technologies, spatial genomics methods, and the computational strategies employed toward the analyses of singlecell atlas data. Furthermore, we have highlighted the advances made in constructing cellular atlases and their clinical applications,particularly in the context of disease. Finally, we have discussed the emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in this rapidly evolving field.

As the first safety barrier of nuclear reactors,zirconium alloy cladding tubes have attracted extensive attention because of its good mechanical *** strength and ductility of zirconium alloy are of great significance to the service process of cladding tubes,while brittle hydrides precipitate and thus deteriorate the overall *** on the cohesive finite element method,the effects of cohesive strength,interfacial characteristics,and hydrides geometric characteristics on the strength and ductility of two-phase material(zirconium alloy with hydrides)are numerically *** results show that the fracture behavior is significantly affected by the cohesive strength and that the overall strength and ductility are sensitive to the cohesive strength of the zirconium ***,the interface is revealed to have prominent effects on the overall fracture *** the cohesive strength and fracture energy of the interface are higher than those of the hydride phase,fracture initiates in the hydrides,which is consistent with the experimental *** addition,it is found that the number density and arrangement of hydrides play important roles in the overall strength and *** simulation provides theoretical support for the performance analysis of hydrogenated zirconium alloys during nuclear reactor operation.

Antioxidant Effect of Selenium-containing Glutathione S-Transferase in Rat Cardiomyocytes

As one of the most important antioxidant enzymes, glutathione peroxidase（GPX） protects cells and tissues from oxidative damage, and plays an important role in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular injuries induced by oxida- tive stress. The antioxidant effect of selenium-containing glutathione S-transferase（Se-GST）, a mimic of GPX was investigated on rat cardiomyocytes. To explore the protection function of Se-GST in hydrogen peroxide（H202） chal- lenged rat cardiomyocytes, we examined malondialdehyde（MDA）, lactate dehydrogenase（LDH）, superoxide dismu- tase（SOD） and cell apoptosis. The results demonstrate exposure of rat cardiomyocytes to H202 for 6 and 12 h induced the significant increases of MDA, LDH and apoptosis rate of cardiomyocytes, but pretreatment of rat cardiomyocytes with Se-GST at 0.0005 or 0.001 unit/mL prevents oxidative stress induced by H202 with the decreases of cell apopto- sis. All the results hint Se-GST has antioxidant activity for oxidative stress challenged rat cardiomyocvtes.

Carbamoyl-phosphate synthase plays a vital role in the carbon and nitrogen metabolism cycles. In Xanthomonas citrisubsp. citri, carA and carB encode the small and large subunits of carbamoyl-phosphate synthase, respectively. The deletion mutation of the coding regions revealed that carA did not affect any of the phenotypes, while carB played multiple roles in pathogenicity. The deletion of carB rendered the loss of pathogenicity in host plants and the ability to induce a hyper- sensitive reaction in the non-hosts. Quantitative reverse transcription-PCR assays indicated that 11 hrp genes coding the type Ill secretion system were suppressed when interacting with citrus plants. The mutation in carB also affected bacterial utilization of several carbon and nitrogen resources in minimal medium MMX and extracellular enzyme activities. These data demonstrated that only the large subunit of carbamoyl-phosphate synthase was essential for canker development by X. citri subsp, citri.
