Physical and chemical processes observed in the mesosphere and thermosphere above the Earth’s low latitudes are complex and highly interrelated to activity in the low-latitude *** sodium detected by lidar can yield clues to dynamic and chemical processes in these spatial layers above the Earth’s *** paper is based on sodium layer data collected at two low-latitude stations,one in the northern hemisphere and one in the *** low-latitude sodium layer exhibits conspicuous seasonal variations in shape,density,and altitude;these variations are similar between Earth’s hemispheres:sodium layer density at both stations reaches its seasonal maximum in autumn and minimum in ***,maximal Na density over Brazil is greater than that over *** variations of Na density above the two low-latitude stations are also similar;at both,maxima are observed before *** variations of the Na layer over Brazil that differ from those observed in the northern hemisphere may be related to the South Atlantic Magnetic Anomaly(SAMA)or fountain *** suggest that low-latitude Na layer data may provide useful additional evidence that could significantly improve the low-latitude part of the WACCM-Na model.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AZIBs） are fundamentally challenged by the instability of the electrode/electrolyte interface,predominantly due to irreversible zinc （Zn） deposition and hydrogen ***,the intricate mechanisms behind the electrochemical discrepancies induced by interfacial Zn2+-solvation and deposition behavior demand comprehensive *** molecules endowed with special functional groups （such as hydroxyl,carboxyl,etc.） have the potential to significantly optimize the solvation structure of Zn2+and regulate the interfacial electric double layer （EDL）.By increasing nucleation overpotential and decreasing interfacial free energy,these functional groups facilitate a lower critical nucleation radius,thereby forming an asymptotic nucleation model to promote uniform Zn ***,this study presents a pioneering approach by introducing trace amounts of n-butanol as solvation regulators to engineer the homogenized Zn （H-Zn） anode with a uniform and dense *** interfacial reaction and structure evolution are explored by in/ex-situ experimental techniques,indicating that the H-Zn anode exhibits dendrite-free growth,no by-products,and weak hydrogen evolution,in sharp contrast to the bare ***,the H-Zn anode achieves a remarkable Zn utilization rate of approximately 20% and simultaneously sustains a prolonged cycle life exceeding 500 ***,the H-Zn//NH4V4O10（NVO） full battery showcases exceptional cycle stability,retaining 95.04%capacity retention after 400 cycles at a large current density of 5 A *** study enlightens solvation-regulated additives to develop Zn anode with superior utilization efficiency and extended operational lifespan.

Despite considerable research underscoring the importance of carbohydrate intake in relation to the risk of type 2 diabetes(T2D), a comprehensive assessment of this relationship is currently lacking. We aimed to examine the associations of various types and food sources of dietary carbohydrate intake with the risk of T2D, to evaluate potential effect modification by other factors, including genetic susceptibility,and to explore the potential mediators for such associations. The present study included 161,872 participants of the UK Biobank who were free of prevalent cancer, cardiovascular disease, or diabetes, and had at least one validated 24-h dietary recall assessment. Multivariableadjusted age-stratified Cox proportional hazard regression models were applied to estimate hazard ratios(HRs) and 95% confidence intervals(CI) for the associations of various types and food sources of dietary carbohydrate intake with risk of T2D. During a median follow-up of13.6 years, 4,176 incident cases of T2D were identified. In the multivariable-adjusted models, a greater intake of fiber, carbohydrates from whole grains, and carbohydrates from non-starchy vegetables was significantly associated with a lower risk of T2D(highest vs. lowest quantile, HR [95% CI]=0.70 [0.62–0.79], 0.74 [0.67–0.82], and 0.83 [0.75–0.92], respectively, all P for trend <0.005). In contrast, a higher intake of starch and carbohydrate from starchy vegetables was associated with an increased risk of T2D(highest vs. lowest quantile, HR [95%CI]=1.31 [1.16–1.48] and 1.19 [1.09–1.31], respectively, both P for trend <0.005). Replacing one serving of refined grains or starchy vegetables with an equal amount of whole grains or non-starchy vegetables was associated with 4% to 10% lower risk of T2D(all P values <0.001).The observed associations were generally similar across population subgroups, including individuals with different genetic susceptibility to T2D. Establishing the relationship between vibrotactile parameters and perceived intensity（PI） is of great significance in the regulation of desired sensations, which contribute to haptic interfaces in practical applications. Coin eccentric rotating mass（ERM） motors are routinely utilized due to their lightweight design and efficient ability to evoke strong tactile sensations. By adjusting input voltages, ERMs can yield different stimuli, but the effects of their physical properties on PI remain ***, we developed the physical model of the ERM-skin system and optimized the parameters affecting PI. Moreover, the relationship between stimulus and perception was derived based on Fechner?s law. Three experiments were conducted on fifteen subjects（ten males and five females, aged 24.40 ± 2.87 years） to identify the vibration parameters and corresponding PI to verify the proposed PI model. ERMs in this study were attached to phantom skin/forearm with slim adhesive tape to minimize the interference. Experiment 1 performed vibration calibration with ERM attached to the skin phantom to simulate the actual configuration. Then, the relative and absolute PI of subjects on specific stimuli were acquired in Experiments 2 and *** fitting reliability of the proposed PI model was evaluated on fifteen subjects with R2of 0.73 ± 0.07 and root mean squared error（RMSE） of 1.35 ± 0.28. Overall, the proposed PI model established the quantitative relationship between stimulus parameters（vibration parameters and physical parameters） and subjective PI, which provided theoretical support for ERM optimization and vibrotactile modulation.

According to the structure features of Fe80P20, A series of clusters Fe4P were designed and focused on studying the stability of local structure, charge distribution and chemical bond, Using the DFT method, energy and structure of Fe4P clusters were optimized and analyzed. The computational results showed that the energy of cluster 1（2） has the lowest energy, and the possibility of its existence in the Fe80P20 is high. Analyzing the transition states among the clusters, it was found that the clusters in the doublet state are more stable than those in the quartet state. The numbers of the Fe-P bond in the clusters play important roles in the cluster stability and electrons transfer properties, The more numbers of Fe-P bonds in the clusters, the higher the cluster stability, and the weaker the ability of P atom to get electron, The number of Fe atoms, which has bonding interactions with the P atom, is direct proportional to the average 3d orbit population of Fe atom. Basing on the orbital population, average magnetic moments of each Fe atom in the Fe4P clusters were calculated, and they are all smaller than that of single metal Fe atom. This suggests that all Fe4P clusters have soft magnetic property and they are expected to be perfect material for preparing soft magnetic apparatus.

Efficient and stable photocathodes with versatility are of significance in photoassisted lithium-ion batteries(PLIBs),while there is always a request on fast carrier transport in electrochemical active *** work proposes a general approach of creating bulk heterojunction to boost the carrier mobility of photocathodes by simply laser assisted embedding of plasmonic *** employed in PLIBs,it was found effective for synchronously enhanced photocharge separation and transport in light charging ***,experimental photon spectroscopy,finite difference time domain method simulation and theoretical analyses demonstrate that the improved carrier dynamics are driven by the plasmonic-induced hot electron injection from metal to TiO_(2),as well as the enhanced conductivity in TiO2 matrix due to the formation of oxygen vacancies after Schottky *** from these merits,several benchmark values in performance of TiO2-based photocathode applied in PLIBs are set,including the capacity of 276 mAh g^(−1)at 0.2 A g^(−1)under illumination,photoconversion efficiency of 1.276%at 3 A g^(−1),less capacity and Columbic efficiency loss even through 200 *** results exemplify the potential of the bulk heterojunction strategy in developing highly efficient and stable photoassisted energy storage systems.

A series of co-polyimide(PI)fibers containing phenylphosphine oxide(PPO)group were synthesized by incorporating the bis(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl phosphine oxide(DAPOPPO)monomer into the PI molecular chain followed by dry-jet wet *** effects of DAPOPPO molar content on the atomic oxygen(AO)resistance of the fibers were investigated *** the AO fluence increased from 0to 3.2×1020the mass loss of the fibers showed the dependence on DAPOPPO molar content in co-PI *** PI fiber containing 40%DAPOPPO showed lower mass loss compared to those containing 0%and 20%*** higher AO fluence,the higher DAPOPPO content gave rise to dense carpet-like surface of *** results indicated that the passivated phosphate layer was deposited on the fiber surface when exposed to AO,which effectively prevented fiber from AO *** the DAPOPPO content increasing from 0%to 40%,the retentions of tensile strength and initial modulus for the fibers exhibited obvious growth from 44%to 68%,and 59%to 70%,after AO exposure with the fluence of 3.2×1020The excellent AO resistance benefits the fibers for application in low Earth orbit as flexible construction components.
