Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Huashi Baidu Granules(HSBD)in treating patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)Omicron ***:A single-center retrospective cohort study was conducted during COVID-19 Omicron epidemic in the Mobile Cabin Hospital of Shanghai New International Expo Center from April 1st to May 23rd,*** COVID-19 patients with asymptomatic or mild infection were assigned to the treatment group(HSBD users)and the control group(non-HSBD users).After propensity score matching in a 1:1 ratio,496 HSBD users of treatment group were matched by propensity score to 496 non-HSBD *** in the treatment group were administrated HSBD(5 g/bag)orally for 1 bag twice a day for 7 consecutive *** in the control group received standard care and routine *** primary outcomes were the negative conversion time of nucleic acid and negative conversion rate at day *** outcomes included the hospitalized days,the time of the first nucleic acid negative conversion,and new-onset symptoms in asymptomatic *** events(AEs)that occurred during the study were *** subgroup analysis was conducted in vaccinated(378 HSBD users and 390 non-HSBD users)and unvaccinated patients(118 HSBD users and 106 non-HSBD users).Results:The median negative conversion time of nucleic acid in the treatment group was significantly shortened than the control group[3 days(IQR:2-5 days)vs.5 days(IQR:4-6 days);P<0.01].The negative conversion rate of nucleic acid in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group at day 7(91.73%vs.86.90%,P=0.014).Compared with the control group,the hospitalized days in the treatment group were significantly reduced[10 days(IQR:8-11 days)vs.11 days(IQR:10.25-12 days);P<0.01].The time of the first nucleic acid negative conversion had significant differences between the treatment and control groups[3 days(IQR:2-4 days)vs.5 days(IQR:

Electroacupuncture Promotes Angiogenesis in Mice with Cerebral Ischemia by Inhibiting miR-7

Effectiveness and Safety of Baidu Jieduan Granules for COVID-19: A Retrospective Observational Multicenter Study

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Baidu Jieduan Granules(BDJDG) to treat common type coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19). Methods: This multicenter, retrospective, and observational clinical trial included 230 common COVID-19 patients in Leishenshan, Huangshi, and Laohekou Hospitals in Wuhan from January 21 to March 26, 2020. The included patients were further divided into two subgroups according to the use of supplemental oxygen, mild and moderate groups. During the first 14 d of hospitalization, all patients were administered BDJDG combined with conventional Western medicine, and observed for continuous 28 d. Primary outcomes were disease progression rate and discharge rate. Secondary outcomes included negative conversion time of nucleic acid, hospitalization duration, clinical symptom subsidence time, and symptom regression rate. Results: A total of 230 common COVID-19 patients were analyzed(138 in moderate group and 92 in mild group). By day 28, the disease progression rate was 4.3% and the discharge rate was 95.7%. All mild cases recovered and were discharged from hospital. The median negative conversion time of nucleic acid of all 230 COVID-19 patients was 12 d [inter-quartile range(IQR) 3.5–17], the median hospitalization duration was 15 d(IQR 12–20). The median time to fever, cough, and fatigue recovery was 4 d(IQR 2–6), 8 d(IQR 5–12), and 8 d(IQR 5–11), respectively. The recovery rate of fever, cough, and fatigue was 94.6%, 90.5%, and 93.5%. The median time to clinical improvement was 12 d(IQR 10–17). Compared with the baseline, total leukocyte, neutrophil, lymphocyte, and platelet counts were all increased significantly on days 7 and 14(P<0.01). C-reactive protein markedly increased on day 3 and significantly decreased on days 7 and 14(P<0.01). No serious adverse events occurred during treatment. Conclusion: BDJDG may be effective and safe for treatment of common type COVID-19.(Registration No. ChiCTR2000030836)

随着社会生活方式的快速改变,情志异常与恶性肿瘤之间的相互作用日益突显。大量研究表明,以抑郁为主要改变的情志异常可以通过多种途径影响肿瘤的发生发展与转移。“抑郁情伤促癌”机制越来越受到人们的重视。现今迫切需要发现抑郁症与肿瘤之间的创新因果关系和机制,并开发有效的治疗方法。肝气郁结是情志致病的始动因素,正气亏虚是肿瘤发生的内在基础,癌毒侵袭是肿瘤滋生转移的重要病理环节,综合以上三者可初步表明,“郁、虚、毒”是抑郁促肿瘤发生发展的核心病因病机。以“抑郁情伤促癌”为问题导向,探讨其郁、虚、毒的病机内涵及其致病机制和有效干预方法,可以为抑郁促肿瘤发生发展的防治研究提供新的思路和方向。

目的探究复元醒脑汤对急性缺血性脑梗死模型大鼠血脑屏障的影响及机制研究。方法取40只SD大鼠随机分为假手术组、模型组、复元醒脑汤组和尼莫地平组,除假手术组外,其余各组建立大鼠大脑中动脉栓塞制备缺血性脑梗死模型。假手术组和模型组给予0.9%氯化钠溶液、复元醒脑汤组和尼莫地平组给予相应的等效剂量药物,每日灌胃2次,连续灌胃3d。采用Bederson神经功能评分;HE染色观察各组大鼠脑组织病理变化;采用IHC观察ZO-1和Claudin-5的表达;Western blot检测大鼠脑组织MMP-2、MMP-9、ZO-1和Claudin-5的蛋白表达情况;RT-qPCR检测大鼠脑组织MMP-2、MMP-9、ZO-1和Claudin-5基因表达水平。结果与假手术组比较,模型组大鼠神经功能缺损评分升高;与假手术组相比,模型组大鼠脑组织MMP-2和MMP-9蛋白和mRNA表达升高(P<0.05,P<0.01),ZO-1和Claudin-5蛋白mRNA表达降低(P<0.05,P<0.01);与模型组相比,复元醒脑汤组的大鼠脑组织缺血半暗带MMP-2和MMP-9蛋白mRNA表达显著降低(P<0.05,P<0.01);ZO-1和Claudin-5蛋白mRNA表达显著升高(P<0.05,P<0.01)。结论复元醒脑汤保护血脑屏障通透性,可能与抑制MMP-2和MMP-9的表达,抑制紧密连接蛋白中ZO-1和claudin-5降解及丢失,从而发挥保护血脑屏障结构功能的作用。

Objective: To assess the effect and safety of Reyanning Mixture(RYN) in treating asymptomatic or mild severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-Co V-2) infection in children and adolescents. Methods: This is a prospective, open-label, randomized control ed trial. Patients aged 1–17 years and diagnosed with asymptomatic or mild coronavirus disease-2019(COVID-19) were assigned to an intervention group(RYN plus standard care) and a control group(standard care) according to a randomization list. The primary outcomes were SARS-Co V-2 negative conversion time. Secondary outcomes included negative conversion rate on days 3 and 7, hospital length of stay, symptom relief rate, new-onset symptoms of asymptomatic infected patients, and progressive disease rate. The cycle threshold(Ct) values of ORF1ab or N genes were also tested. Results: A total of 214 patients in the intervention group and 217 in the control group were analyzed. The SARS-CoV-2 negative conversion time was significantly shortened in the intervention group [5 days(interquartile range(IQR): 5–6) vs. 7 days(IQR: 6–7), P0.05). Symptoms of cough were significantly improved(82.2% vs. 70.0%, P=0.02) and wheezing was significantly reduced(0.7% vs. 12.9%, P<0.01) in the intervention group compared with the control group. Enhancing thermoelectric performance of p-type SnTe through manipulating energy band structures and decreasing electronic thermal conductivity

SnTe has received considerable attention as an environmentally friendly alternative to the representative thermoelectric material of ***,excessive hole carrier concentration in SnTe results in an extremely low Seebeck coefficient and high thermal conductivity,which makes it exhibit relatively inferior thermoelectric *** this work,the thermoelectric performance of p-type SnTe is enhanced through regulating its energy band structures and reducing its electronic thermal conductivity by combining Bi doping with CdSe ***,the carrier concentration of SnTe is successfully suppressed via Bi doping,which significantly decreases the electronic thermal ***,the convergence and flattening of the valence bands by alloying CdSe effectively improves the effective mass of SnTe while restraining its carrier ***,a maximum figure of merit(ZT) of~ 0.87 at 823 K and an average ZT of~ 0.51 at 300-823 K have been achieved in Sn_(0.96)Bi_(0.04)Te-5%*** results indicate that decreasing the electronic thermal conductivity is an effective means of improving the performance of thermoelectric materials with a high carrier concentration.

A disk I/O optimized system for concurrent graph processing jobs

In order to analyze and process the large graphs with high cost efficiency,researchers have developed a number of out-of-core graph processing systems in recent years based on just one commodity *** the other hand,with the rapidly growing need of analyzing graphs in the real-world,graph processing systems have to efficiently handle massive concurrent graph processing(CGP)***,due to the inherent design for single graph processing job,existing out-of-core graph processing systems usually incur unnecessary data accesses and severe competition of I/O bandwidth when handling the CGP *** this paper,we propose GraphCP,a disk I/O optimized out-of-core graph processing system that efficiently supports the processing of CGP *** proposes a benefit-aware sharing execution model to share the I/O access and processing of graph data among the CGP jobs and adaptively schedule the graph data loading based on the states of vertices,which efficiently overcomes above challenges faced by existing out-of-core graph processing ***,GraphCP adopts a dependency-based future-vertex updating model so as to reduce disk I/Os in the future *** addition,GraphCP organizes the graph data with a Source-Sorted Sub-Block graph representation for better processing capacity and I/O access *** evaluation results show that GraphCP is 20.5×and 8.9×faster than two out-of-core graph processing systems GridGraph and GraphZ,and 3.5×and 1.7×faster than two state-of-art concurrent graph processing systems Seraph and GraphSO.

Ca_(2)MnO_(4)-layered perovskite modified by NaNO_(3)for chemical-looping oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane to ethylene

Chemical-looping oxidative dehydrogenation(CL-ODH)is a process designed for the conversion of alkanes into olefins through cyclic redox reactions,eliminating the need for gaseous O_(2).In this work,we investigated the use of Ca_(2)MnO_(4)-layered perovskites modified with NaNO_(3) dopants,serving as redox catalysts(also known as oxygen carriers),for the CL-ODH of ethane within a temperature range of 700-780℃.Our findings revealed that the incorporation of NaNO_(3) as a modifier significantly-nhanced the selectivity for-thylene generation from Ca_(2)MnO_(4).At 750℃and a gas hourly space velocity of 1300 h^(-1),we achieved an-thane conversion up to 68.17%,accompanied by a corresponding-thylene yield of 57.39%.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis unveiled that the doping NaNO_(3) onto Ca_(2)MnO_(4) not only played a role in reducing the oxidation state of Mn ions but also increased the lattice oxygen content of the redox ***,formation of NaNO_(3) shell on the surface of Ca_(2)MnO_(4) led to a reduction in the concentration of manganese sites and modulated the oxygen-releasing behavior in a step-wise *** modulation contributed significantly to the enhanced selectivity for ethylene of the NaNO_(3)-doped Ca_(2)MnO_(4) *** findings provide compelling evidence for the potential of Ca_(2)MnO_(4)-layered perovskites as promising redox catalysts in the context of CL-ODH reactions.
