Microtexture Evolution and Grain Boundary Character Distribution of Interstitial-Free Steels With Moderate Levels of Cold Rolling Reductions

High-strength interstitial-free steel sheets have very good deep drawability when processed to have { 111 } recrystallization texture. The microtexture evolution and grain boundary character distribution of interstitial-free steels as a function of moderate levels of cold rolling reductions were investigated by the metallographic microscopy and electron backscatter diffraction technique. The results showed that there was a close relationship between micro- texture and grain boundary character distribution for interstitial-free steel, especially the distribution and features of some specific types of coincident-site lattice boundaries. In addition, a-fiber texture was weakened to vanish while 7- fiber texture strengthened gradually as cold rolling reduction was increased from 20% to 75 % for cold rolled and an- nealed samples. Accordingly, increasing the rolling reduction from 20 % to 750% would lead to a significant increase in the proportion of ∑3 boundaries. Also, it was found that the microtexture of 20% cold rolled sample would induce a high frequency of ∑11 grain boundaries, but the microtexture of 75% cold rolled sample would produce more ∑7 and ∑17 grain boundaries. It was suggested that texture played a significant role in the formation of grain boundary character distribution.

Background The effectiveness of chemoradiotherapy followed by surgery （CRTS） in patients with resectable esophageal carcinoma remains *** performed a systematic review of the literature with *** Electronic databases were used to identify published studies between January 1992 and April *** relative risk （RR） with 95％ confidence interval （95％ CI） was utilized to estimate the strength of the association between CRTS and surgery alone （SA） survival of the resectable esophageal carcinoma *** and publication bias were also assessed in the present *** The final analysis of 2755 resectable esophageal carcinoma cases from 21 randomized controlled trials （RCTs） are *** to the SA group,the 1,3-and 5-year survival rates were significantly higher in the CRTS group （all P ＜0.05）; the 3-and 5-year survival rates for the Eastern patients,Western patients,patients undergoing concurrent chemoradiotherapy,patients with squamous cell carcinoma,patients undergoing High-dose radiotherapy （≥40 Gy）,and patients given either ＂cisplatin ＋ Fluorouracil＂ or ＂cisplatin ＋ paclitaxel＂ chemotherapy were significantly higher in the CRTS group （all P ＜0.05）.There were no statistical significances in the 3-and 5-year survival rates for patients undergoing sequential chemoradiotherapy or patients with adenocarcinoma between the two groups （all P ＞0.05）.Compared to the RCTS group,the surgery rate in the SA group was higher （P ＜0.05）,while the CRTS group had significantly higher radical resection rate,R0 resection rate and lower postoperative local recurrence rate （all P ＜0.05）.The differences in postoperative complication incidence,post-operative distant metastasis and postoperative mortality rate were not statistically significant between the two groups （all P ＞0.05）.Conclusion CRTS can significantly improve the survival and surgical conditions of patients with resectable esophageal carcinoma.

A λ-MnO2 supported Pt nanocatalyst（5 wt.% Pt/λ-MnO2） was synthesized using a facile approach.X-ray diffraction（XRD）, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS）, scanning electronic microscope（SEM）, transmission electron microscopy（TEM）, and energy disperse spectroscopy（EDS） were used for catalyst structure and morphology characterization, which showed that the metallic Pt particles were attached on a λ-MnO2 surface through the interaction between Pt and λ-*** voltammetry（CV） was used to test the catalytic activity of Pt/λ-MnO2 toward methanol oxidation, which showed that Pt/λ-MnO2 catalyst has much higher catalytic activity than baseline Pt/C catalyst.

OBJECTIVE Previous work has shown that gap junction intercel ular communication(GJIC)enhances cisplatin(Pt)toxicity in testicular tumor cells but decreases it in non-tumor testicular *** this study,these different GJIC-propagated effects were demonstrated in tumor versus non-tumor cells from other organ tissues(liver and lung).METHODS We use several different mani pulations(no cell contact,pharmacological inhibition,and si RNA suppression)to down-regulate GJIC *** in vivo results using xenograft tumor models were consistent with those from the above-mentioned *** better understand the mechanism(s)involved,we studied the effects of GJIC on Pt accumulation in tumor and non-tumor cells from the liver and *** The intracel ular Pt and DNA-Pt adduct contents clearly increased in non-tumor cells but decreasedin tumor cells when GJIC was *** analysis indicated that the opposite effectsof GJIC on Pt accumulation in normal versus tumor cells from the liver were due to its different effects on copper transporter1 and multidrug resistance-associated protein2,membrane transporters attributed to intracellular Pt *** GJIC protects normal organs from cisplatin toxicity while enhancing it in tumor cells via its different effects on intracellular Pt transfer.

Fe/N-based biomass porous carbon composite(Fe/N-p Carbon) was prepared by a facile high-temperature carbonization method from biomass,and the effect of Fe/N-p Carbon on the thermal decomposition of energetic molecular perovskite-based material DAP-4 was *** porous carbonaceous materials was considered as the micro/nano support layers for in situ deposition of Fe/N ***/Np Carbon was prepared simply by the high-temperature carbonization *** was found that it showed the inherent catalysis properties for thermal decomposition of *** heat release of DAP-4/Fe/N-p Carbon by DSC curves tested had increased slightly,compared from DAP-4/Fe/N-p *** decomposition temperature peak of DAP-4 at the presence of Fe/N-p Carbon had reduced by 79°C from384.4°C(pure DAP-4) to 305.4°C(DAP-4/Fe/N-p Carbon-3).The apparent activation energy of DAP-4thermal decomposition also had decreased by 29.1 J/*** possible catalytic decomposition mechanism of DAP-4 with Fe/N-p Carbon was proposed.
