Brazilian industry produces huge amounts of tannery sludge as residues,which is often disposed by landfilling or land ***,consecutive amendment of such composted industrial wastes may cause shifts in soil microbial biomass(smB) and enzyme *** study aimed to evaluate smB and enzyme activity after 3-year consecutive composted tannery sludge(CTs) amendment in tropical sandy *** amounts of CTs(0.0,2.5,5.0,10.0,and 20.0 t ha^(-1)) were applied to a sandy *** C and N contents of smB,basal and substrate-induced respiration,respiratory quotient(qCO_2),and enzyme activities were determined in the soil samples collected after CTs amendment for 60 d at the third *** 3 years,significant changes were found in soil microbial properties in response to different CTs amounts *** organic matter and Cr contents significantly increased with increasing CTs *** and soil respiration peaked following amendment with 10.0 and 20.0 t ha-1 of CTs,respectively,while qCO_2was not significantly affected by CTs ***,soil enzyme activity decreased significantly with increasing CTs *** CTs amendment for 3 years showed inconsistent and contrasting effects on smB and enzyme *** decrease in soil enzyme activities was proportional to a substantial increase in soil Cr concentration,with the latter exceeding the permitted concentrations by more than ***,our results suggest that a maximum CTs quantity of 5.0 t ha^(-1) can be applied annually to tropical sandy soil,without causing potential risks to smB and enzyme activity.

This paper studies the analytical and semi-analytic solutions of the generalized Calogero–Bogoyavlenskii–schiff(CBs)*** model describes the(2+1)–dimensional interaction between Riemann-wave propagation along the y-axis and the x-axis *** extended simplest equation(EsE)method is applied to the model,and a variety of novel solitarywave solutions is *** solitary-wave solutions prove the dynamic behavior of soliton waves in *** accuracy of the obtained solution is verified using a variational iteration(VI)semi-analytical *** analysis and the match between the constructed analytical solution and the semi-analytical solution are sketched using various diagrams to show the accuracy of the solution we *** adopted scheme’s performance shows the effectiveness of the method and its ability to be applied to various nonlinear evolution equations.

Hemoglobin-styrene oxide adducts in blood have been studied as a molecular biomarker of worker exposed to styrene. Determination of protein-styrene oxide adducts in different biological samples with modified Raney-Ni procedure is described in this paper. The following biological samples have been investigated: fresh rat blood reacted with styrene oxide in vitro: rat blood reacted with styrene or styrene oxide in vivo: vein blood from workers exposed to styrene in two factories. The data showed that there was a good linear dose-response relationship between reacting dose of styrene oxide or styrene and amount of protein-styrene oxide adducts in both in vitro and in vivo experiments. for human samples, a dose-response relationship between protein adducts and styrene exposure can be found in glass fiber factory, but not in piano manufacture plant.

The iron doped brushite(fe-DCPD) nano particles were synthesized via co-precipitation method with fe concentrations(0 ≤x≤ 1) in steps 0.2. The influence of iron concentration on the crystallinity, particle shape,morphology, optical, magnetic and electrical properties was investigated. The results showed that iron doping content is the crucial factor in the variation of physical properties. The particle shape changed from spheres at x=0.2 to be fiber network at x = 0.8. The saturation magnetization(ms) increased from 0.4(emu/g) at x = 0.2 to 1.6(emu/g) at x = 0.8 which is considered more than four times with a considerable decrease of coercive field.

The milling behavior of poly(amide imide),which serves as a prototypical hydrophilic high-performance polymer with a high glass transition temperature,was *** milling conditions(milling times up to 7h,stirrer tip speeds of 3.4-4.9 m/s,and mass concentrations of 5-20%) were tested,and particle sizes as low as d50,33μm were *** milling was performed at 11℃ in an *** scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis were performed before and after milling to investigate the effect of milling on the glass transition temperature and on the decomposition behavior of the *** suspension obtained after milling was observed to be stable without the addition of stabilizers or the adjustment of the pH value,and no negative effect of milling on the polymer properties was *** attritor technique proved to be an adequate and efficient milling tool for the production of micrometer-sized high-performance polymer suspensions.

magnesium(mg)alloys are gaining great consideration as body implant materials due to their high biodegradability and ***,they suffer from low corrosion resistance and antibacterial *** this research,semi-powder metallurgy followed by hot extrusion was utilized to produce the magnesium oxide@graphene nanosheets/magnesium(mgO@GNs/mg)composite to improve mechanical,corrosion and cytocompatibility *** have revealed that the incorporation of mgO@GNs nanohybrids into mg-based composite enhanced microhardness and compressive *** vitro,osteoblast cell culture tests show that using mgO@GNs nanohybrid fillers enhances osteoblast adhesion and apatite *** presence of mgO@GNs nanoparticles in the composites decreased the opening defects,micro-cracks and micro-pores of the composites thus preventing the penetration of the corrosive solution into the *** demonstrated that the mgO@GNs/mg composite possesses excellent antibacterial properties because of the combination of the release of mgO and physical damage to bacterium membranes caused by the sharp edges of graphene nanosheets that can effectively damage the cell wall thereby facilitating penetration into the bacterial lipid ***,the mgO@GNs/mg composite with high mechanical strength,antibacterial activity and corrosion resistance is considered to be a promising material for load-bearing implant applications.

In the present investigation, we consider two new general subclasses B∑m（T, λ; α）and B^∑m （τ λ;β） of Em consisting of analytic and m-fold symmetric bi-univalent functions in the open unit disk U. for functions belonging to the two classes introduced here, we derive non-sharp estimates on the initial coefficients [a-~＋ll and │a2＋1│. several connections to some of the earlier known results are also pointed out.

A tunable and optically modulated fiber laser utilizing a multi-walled carbon nanotube based saturable absorber is demonstrated for operation in the O-band region.A praseodymium-doped fluoride fiber is used as the gain medium and the system is capable of generating modulated outputs at 1300 *** output is observed at pump powers of 511 mW and above,with repetition rates and pulse widths that can be tuned from 41 kHz and 3.4μs to 48 kHz and 2.4μs,respectively,at the maximum pump power available.A maximum average output power of 100μW with a corresponding single pulse energy of 2.1 nJ is measured,while the tunability of the proposed laser is from 1290 nm to 1308 *** output is stable,with peak power fluctuations of^4 dB from the average value.
