This paper presents separation results of a mixture of nitrogen, argon and krypton ions in the process of plasma-optical mass separation on the POMS-E-3 separator model. We determined the behavior of the separation with a change in the value of magnetic field induction in the azimuthator and in the degree of compensation of the spatial charge in ion flows. An analysis is performed for experimental data by correlation with the results of a theoretical study and numerical experiments. The objectives of future experiments are outlined.

The frozen bodies of a young woolly mammoth(Mammuthus primigenius),a wild horse(Equus sp.)and a steppe bison(Bison priscus)were recently found in the northern Yakutia(northeastern Siberia).All specimens have preserved bones,skin and soft *** the woolly mammoth and the Pleistocene horse were represented by partial frozen bodies,the steppe bison body was recovered in an absolutely complete *** specimens were found frozen in the permafrost,with some of the tissues *** wild horse and steppe bison are of Holocene age,and the mammoth is of Late Pleistocene age.

Silver nanowire films are promising alternatives to tin-doped indium oxide(ITO)films as transparent conductive *** this paper,we report the use of vacuum filtration and a polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)-assisted transfer printing technique to fabricate silver nanowire films on both rigid and flexible substrates,bringing advantages such as the capability of patterned transfer,the best performance among various ITO alternatives(10Ω/sq at 85%transparency),and good adhesion to the underlying substrate,thus eliminating the previously reported adhesion *** addition,our method also allows the preparation of high quality patterned films of silver nanowires with different line widths and shapes in a matter of few minutes,making it a scalable ***,use of an anodized aluminum oxide(AAO)membrane in the transfer process allows annealing of nanowire films at moderately high temperature to obtain films with extremely high conductivity and good *** this transfer technique,we obtained silver nanowire films on a flexible polyethylene terephthalate(PET)substrate with a transparency of 85%,a sheet resistance of 10Ω/sq,with good mechanical *** analysis revealed that the Ag nanowire network exhibits two-dimensional percolation behavior with good agreement between experimentally observed and theoretically predicted values of critical volume。

Information on host plant preference of agriculturally important insect pests, such as Lygus hesperus （Knight）, can be helpful in predicting its occurrence and future movement among crop and nonrop host plants. A field study was conducted during 2005 and 2006 to evaluate the host preference of Lygus to cotton and four other host plants in the Texas High Plains, including alfalfa （Medicago sativa L.）, wild sunflower （Helianthus annuus L.）, Russian thistle （Salsola iberica L.） and pigweed （Amaranthus palmeri L.）. Sampling for both nymphs and adults during 2005 （July to november） and 2006 （June to november） showed that alfalfa and Russian thistle were the two most preferred hosts out of the five hosts evaluated. Abundance of nymphs （numbers per 50 sweeps per host plant） during the sampling period also indicated the superior reproductive suitability of alfalfa and Russian thistle. Cotton appeared to be the least attractive host plant for Lygus when Russian thistle and alfalfa were available in the host mosaic. Seasonal abundance of Lygus was found to be lower during 2006 compared to 2005, which may be explained by the difference in rainfall patterns during these two years. In terms of species dominance, L. hesperus was the most dominant species in the sampled population followed by an inconsiderable fraction ofL. elisus and L. lineolaris.

The Cu25 nb75 and ni45nb55 amorphous films with about 500nm thickness were prepared by ion beam assisted deposition (IBAD). Potentiodynamic polarization measurement was adopted to investigate the corrosion resistance of samples and the tests were carried out respectively in 1mol/L H2SO4 and naOH aquatic solution. The corrosion performance of the amorphous films was compared with that of multilayered and pure nb films. Experimental results indicated that the corrosion resistance of amorphous films was better than that of the corresponding multilayers and pure nb films for both ni-nb system with negative heat of formation and Cu-nb system with positive heat of formation.

The regiospecific oxidation of alkyl group of both sterically hindered and unhindered aromatic amine to corresponding carbonyl compound was done in aq. medium by using DDQ. The optimized reaction protocol was found to be most simple, high yielding and novel method for oxidation of alkyl group of aromatic amine in to its carbonyl compound.

The aim of this work is to investigate the fatigue behavior of a new class of nanostructured, low-temperature bainitic steels, where rotating bending fatigue tests were conducted on samples isothermally transformed at 300, 250, and 200 ℃, after which, fracture surfaces were examined using scanning electron microscopy. Results showed that, fatigue limits of about 820, 945, and 1,005 MPa were achieved for the samples transformed at each transformation temperature, respectively. Moreover, according to the SEM micrographs, secondary crack initiation was observed in the high carbon retained austenite blocks for samples transformed at 300 ℃ and at the interface of blocky austenite-bainitic ferrite for samples transformed at 250 and 200 ℃.
