In graphene,conductance electrons behave as massless relativistic particles and obey an analogue of the Dirac equation in two dimensions with a chiral *** this reason,the bounding of electrons in graphene in the form of geometries of quantum dots is *** gapless graphene,due to its unique electronic band structure,there is a minimal conductivity at Dirac points,that is,in the limit of zero *** creates a problem for using such a highly motivated new material in electronic *** of the ways to overcome this problem is the creation of a band gap in the graphene band structure,which is made by inversion symmetry breaking（symmetry of sublattices）.We investigate the confined states of the massless Dirac fermions in an impured graphene by the short-range perturbations for ＂local chemical potential＂ and ＂local gap＂.The calculated energy spectrum exhibits quite different features with and without the perturbations.A characteristic equation for bound states（BSs） has been *** is surprisingly found that the relation between the radial functions of sublattices wave functions,i.e.,f_m~＋（r）,g_m~＋（r）,and f_m^-（r）,g_m^-（r）,can be established by SO（2） group.

Bio-based polyurethanes(PUs)have been occurred a large attention *** was found to be an alternative to the petrochemical based materials to the fact of their weak environmental influence,availability,good price and *** addition,the nature shows several bio-derived compounds as raw materials for the synthesis of polyols,including the vegetable oils,polyphenol,terpene,and other bio-renewable *** the aim to develop a new family of biobased polyurethanes(PUs)via vegetable oils,the elaboration of new Jojoba-based PUs was performed by catalyst-free polycondensation reaction of a synthesized Jojoba diol with various diisocyanates such us toluene diisocyanate(TDI)and isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI).All the compounds were characterized by fTIR and NMR spectroscopies,and their properties were determined by gel permeation chromatography,differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric *** obtained results show renewable vegetable oils-based PUs materials can be preparing using a new environmentally ways and giving various good properties performances.

The synthesis of CdO, Ag2O (5nm) and Ag (~20~30 nm) nano-objects is achieved simultaneously by nanosecond-pulsed discharges in liquid nitrogen between one cadmium electrode and one silver electrode. Oxidation occurs when liquid nitrogen is fully evaporated and nanoparticles are in contact with the air. No alloy is formed, whatever the conditions, even though both elements are present simultaneously, as showed by timeresolved optical emission spectroscopy. This lack of reactivity between elements is attributed to the high pressure within the discharge that keeps each metallic vapor around the electrode it comes from. Each element exhibits a specific behavior. Cubic Cd particles, formed at 4 kV, get elongated with filamentary tips when the applied voltage reaches 7 and 10 kV. Cd wires are formed by assembly in liquid nitrogen of Cd nanoparticles driven by dipole assembly, and not by dielectrophoresis. On the contrary, silver spherical particles get assembled into 2D dendritic structures. The anisotropic growth of these structures is assumed to be due to the existence of pressure gradients.

This paper presents a novelmulticlass systemdesigned to detect pleural effusion and pulmonary edema on chest Xray images,addressing the critical need for early detection in healthcare.A new comprehensive dataset was formed by combining 28,309 samples from the ChestX-ray14,PadChest,and CheXpert databases,with 10,287,6022,and 12,000 samples representing Pleural Effusion,Pulmonary Edema,and Normal cases,***,the preprocessing step involves applying the Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization(CLAHE)method to boost the local contrast of the X-ray samples,then resizing the images to 380×380 dimensions,followed by using the data augmentation *** classification task employs a deep learning model based on the EfficientNet-V1-B4 architecture and is trained using the AdamW *** proposed multiclass system achieved an accuracy(ACC)of 98.3%,recall of 98.3%,precision of 98.7%,and f1-score of 98.7%.Moreover,the robustness of the model was revealed by the Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC)analysis,which demonstrated an Area Under the Curve(AUC)of 1.00 for edema and normal cases and 0.99 for *** experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposedmulti-class system,which has the potential to assist clinicians in timely and accurate diagnosis,leading to improved patient ***,ablation-CAM visualization at the last convolutional layer portrayed further enhanced diagnostic capabilities with heat maps on X-ray images,which will aid clinicians in interpreting and localizing abnormalities more effectively.

In vitro and in vivo evaluation of the antiangiogenic activities of Trigonella foenum-graecum extracts

This study describes application of a hybrid combination of Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithm （HEA） and thematic map visualization technique in modeling, predicting and visualization of selected algae division growth, Chlorophyta for tropical Putrajaya Lakes and Wetlands （Malaysia）. The system was trained and tested using five years of limnological time-series data sampled from tropical Putrajaya Lake and Wetlands （Malaysia）. HEA is run on the training set in order to provide insights on the relationships between input variables and the algae growth. The generated rules are tested with another set data to avoid biasness, which yielded accuracy rate of 73%. The rules generated by HEA are then integrated with thematic map technique for visualization of the algae growth. Input parameters are optimized using HEA to weed out insignificant input for predicting Chlorophyta growth. The optimized variables are namely wind speed, sunshine, water temperature, pH, turbidity, Biochemical Oxygen Demand （BOD）, Chemical Oxygen Demand （COD）, total phosphorus, ammonia （NH3-N） nitrate （NO3-N）.

Objective: To assess the antiangiogcnic activity of ***: Different fractions of fenugreek crude extracts were prepared and their antiangiogenic properties were assessed using the ex vivo rat aortic ring assay and in vivo chicken embryo chorioallantoic membrane(CAM) assay. They were investigated for their direct cytotoxic activity in the MCf7 cells using the MTT ***: The ethanol extract showed 100% inhibition of blood vessel outgrowth from primary tissue explants in the rat aortic ring assay at a concentration of 100μg/mL while the other extracts did not show significant antiangiogenic activity. The ethanol extract was therefore investigated at varying concentrations and exhibited a significant dose dependent effect. The CAM assay coincided with the results of the aortic ring assay as ethanol extract showed a significant inhibition of formation of new blood vessels. The extracts only showed anti-proliferative activity at the highest concentration of 400μg/mL towards MCf7 breast cancer cell lines in the MTT ***: findings of the both assays confirmed that the ethanol extract inhibited vascularization significantly. further studies on the ethanol extract would be beneficial in isolating the active ingredient responsible for the inhibition.

BACKGROUND: In a multidisciplinary conference patients with advanced non-resectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) were stratified according to their clinical status and tumor extent to different regional modalities or to best supportive care. The present study evaluated all patients who were stratified to repeated transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) from 1999 until 2003 in terms of tumor response, toxicity, and survival. A moderate embolizing approach was chosen using a combination of degradable starch microspheres (DSM) and iodized oil (Lipiodol) in order to combine anti-tumoral efficiency and low toxicity. METHODS: fourty-seven patients were followed up prospectively. TACE treatment consisted of cisplatin (50 mg/m2), doxorubicin (50 mg/m2), 450-900 mg DSM, and 5-30 ml Lipiodol. DSM and Lipiodol were administered according to tumor vascularization. Patient characteristics,toxicity, and complications were outlined. In multivariate regression analyses of pre-treatment variables from a prospective database, predictors for tumor response and survival after TACE were determined. RESULTS: 112 TACE courses were performed (2.4±1.5 courses per patient). Mean maximum tumor size was 75 (± 43) mm, in 68% there was bilobar disease. Best response to TACE treatment was: progressive disease (PD) 9%, stable disease (SD) 55%, partial remission (PR) 36%, and complete remission (CR) 0%. Multivariate regression analyses identified tumor size ≤75 mm, tumor number ≤5, and tumor hypervascularization as predictors for PR. The overall 1-, 2-, and 3-year-survival rates were 75%, 59%, and 41%, respectively, and the median survival was 26 months. Low α-fetoprotein levels (ficantly associated with long term survival (>30 months, R2=36%). Grade 3 toxicity occurred in 7.1% (n=8), and grade 4 toxicity in 3.6% (n=4) of all courses in terms of reversible leukopenia and thrombocytopenia. The incidence of major

AIM: To investigate neural and behavioral correlates of emotional experiences as potential vulnerability markers in remitted depression. METHODS: fourteen remitted participants with a history of major depression and fourteen closely matched healthy control participants took part in the study. We used two psychiatric interviews(Hamilton Depression Rating Scale, Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale) and one self-report scale(Beck Depression Inventory) to assess remission. Healthy control participants were interviewed by an experienced psychiatrist to exclude those who showed any current or lifetime psychiatric or neurological disorders. To explore psychosocialand cognitive-interpersonal underpinnings of potential vulnerability markers of depression, early life stress, coping styles and alexithymia were also assessed. We induced pleasant and unpleasant emotional states using congruent combinations of music and human emotional faces to investigate neural and behavioral correlates of emotional experiences; neutral stimuli were used as a control condition. Brain responses were recorded using functional magnetic resonance imaging. Behavioral responses of pleasantness, arousal, joy and fear were measured via button-press inside the resonance imaging scanner. RESULTS: The mean age of the sample was 54.9(± 11.3) years. There were no differences between remitted depressed(RD)(n = 14; 9 females and 5 males) and healthy participants(n = 14; 8 females and 6 males) regarding age, current degree of depression, early life stress, coping styles and alexithymia.
