Objective:To evaluate the audiologists’attitudes and practice towards teleaudiology,as well as to assess the audiological services provided in Egypt and Saudi Arabia during the COVID-19 ***:A cross sectional study was conducted among 112 audiologists who were recruited through convenience *** logistic regression was used to test the association between practice of tele audiology as a dependent variable and some independent ***:25.4%of the studied sample were practicing tele ***’age and attitude toward telemedicine were the independent predictors of tele audiology practice at p value≤***:The tele audiology practice is ***,raising the knowledge of audiologist about the great value of practicing tele audiology is very important,infrastructure,equipment,and technology especially telecommunication should be improved and facilitated for both audiologist and patients.

Quantification of ventilation enhancement using the Eye CAN roof support

Convergence of roof and floor in underground mine openings is a common occurrence. This convergence not only adversely affects the ability of workers, equipment and supplies to travel through the mine, it also reduces the effectiveness of the mine ventilation system, which is essential for the dilution of methane gas and airborne respirable dust. While installing secondary standing supports to control floor and roof convergence, such supports, by nature, partially obstruct a portion of the airway. These added obstructions inhibit the ability of the ventilation system to operate as efficiently as it could by increasing the resistance in and reducing the cross-sectional area of the airway. This study introduces and demonstrates the benefits of The Eye CAN^(Tm) standing roof support, which controls floor and roof convergence and is less obstructive to air flow than conventional wooden cribs. Laboratory findings show that the normal resistance of a supported lined airway is reduced by using this new product from Burrell mining Products, Inc., while providing the same roof support characteristics of an established product—The CANò. Load vs. displacement curves generated from laboratory tests demonstrated that this new product behaves with the same roof support characteristics as others in The CAN product family. Ventilation data gathered from a simulated mine entry was then used for computational fluid dynamics(CfD) *** CfD analysis showed an improvement with The Eye CAN vs. other accepted forms of standing roof support. This proof-of-concept study suggests that, when using this new product made by Burrell mining Products, Inc., not only will the convergence from the roof and floor be controlled, but airway resistance will also be reduced.

Background:Neuroplasticity is a phenomenon exhibited by our nervous system as an indicator of overall development and in response to training,injury/loss of particular function,treatment/drugs and as a result of stimulation from the surrounding ***:The aim of the current study was to assess the auditory working memory capacities in Bharatanatyam ***:The participants comprised fifty-four females with normal hearing sensitivity who belonged to two ***-I consisted of 27 individuals who underwent formal training in Bharatanatyam for a minimum period of three ***-II consisted of the age-matched control group,consisting of 27individuals who were *** auditory working memory tasks included arranging the English digits presented binaurally in forward,backward,ascending,and descending *** maximum values(for the length of sequence arranged),midpoint values(average score),and response time for each task were noted down and compared among ***:The scores were compared using the mann-Whitney U test,which revealed enhanced working memory exhibited by dancers for maximum values and midpoint scores for all three tasks except ascending *** was also noted that the dancers exhibited a shorter response time compared to nondancers for all the tasks except ascending ***:The current study highlights an enhanced auditory working memory capacity in Bharatanatyam dancers,which could be perceived as evidence of neuroplastic changes induced in the auditory and motor cortex as a consequence of extensive stimulation for auditory processing abilities and motor planning resulting from long-term dance training and regular practice.

Urban mining is essential for continued natural resource extraction. The recovery of rare and precious metals （RPms） from urban mines has attracted increasing attention from both academic and industrial sectors, because of the broad application and high price of RPms, and their low content in natural ores. This study summarizes the distribution characteristics of various RPms in urban mines, and the advantages and shortcomings of various technologies for RPm recovery from urban mines, including both conventional （pyrometallurgical, hydrometallurgical, and biometallurgical processing）, and emerging （electrochemical, supereritieal fluid, mechanochemical, and ionic liquids processing） technologies. mechanical/physical technologies are commonly employed to separate RPms from nonmetallic components in a pre-treatment process. A pyrometallurgical process is often used tbr RPm recovery, although the expensive equipment required has limited its use in small and medium-sized enterprises. Hydrometallurgical processing is effective and easy to operate, with high selectivity of target metals and high recovery efficiency of RPms, compared to pyrometallurgy. Biometallurgy, though, has shown the most promise for leaching RPms from urban mines, because of its low cost and environmental friendliness. Newly developed technologies electrochemical, supercritical fluid, ionic liquid, and mechanochemical have offered new choices and achieved some success in laboratory experiments, especially as efficient and environmentally friendly methods of recycling RPms. With continuing advances in science and technology, more technologies will no doubt be developed in this field, and be able to contribute to the sustainability of RPm mining.

The test of fast-freezing method is employed to research the freezing resistance of C60 and C80 high-performance concrete with nanometer-SiO2, and XRD and SEm are employed to analyze the mechanism of its influence. The experimental results show that the freezing resistance of high-performance concrete has been effectively improved. The compressive strength of C60, C70 and C80 high-performance concrete added with nano-SiO2 can be improved by 8%, 6% and 5% respectively, the weight loss can be reduced by 1%, 0.6% and 0.3% respectively and the relative dynamic elastic modulus can be improved by 7%, 4% and 6% respectively after the 300 times freeze-thaw cycle.

microbial-induced calcium carbonate precipitation is a promising technology for self-healing concrete due to its capability to seal *** main goal of this study was to evaluate the effects of adding hydrogelencapsulated bacteria on the compressive strength and the self-healing efficiency of *** achieve this objective,12 sets of mortar samples were prepared,including three different mineral precursors(magnesium acetate,calcium lactate,and sodium lactate),at two concentrations(67.76 and 75.00 mm/L),and under two different biological conditions(with and without bacteria).In addition,a set of plain mortar samples was prepared to serve as a *** each sample set,three mortar cubes and three beams were prepared and subjected to compression and flexural strength *** the compression tests,it was found that the sample containing calcium lactate along with yeast extract and bacteria displayed the best *** for the flexural tests,once cracked,the beams were subjected to 28 d of wet/dry cycles(16 h of water immersion and 8 h of drying),where the bottom crack width was monitored(at 0,3,7,14,28 d of wet/dry cycles).Once the sample with the highest healing efficiency was identified(the one containing calcium lactate and hydrogel-encapsulated bacteria),the study was scaled up to concrete *** sets of concrete cylinders(consisting of three control samples and three samples with bacteria along with calcium lactate)were tested under compression in order to evaluate the effect of the bacteria-precursor combination on the concrete mechanical *** samples that yielded the greatest compressive strength were the ones containing calcium lactate and bacteria,displaying an improvement of 17%as compared to the control ***,a flexural strength recovery analysis was performed on the concrete specimens revealing that the control showed better flexural strength recovery than the bacteriacontaining variant(41.5%vs.26.1%)after

Objective:To characterize,identify and investigate the anticancer properties of two new soil fungal isolates,Emericella nidulansand fusarium solani isolated from Wady El-Natron in Egypt against colon cancer Caco-2(ATCCj cell ***:Soil sample was cultured and two strains were chosen for morphological and phenotypical *** sequences of the 18s rRNA gene and the internal transcribed spacer region ITS of the two isolates were amplified by *** tree construction and analysis of the resulted multiple sequences from the two fugal isolates were also carried *** vitro anticancer activity of the two strains was done against colon Caco-2 cancer cell *** transcription — PCR was carried out to detect level of expression of p53 in Caco-2 cell ***:Hf.I displayed morphological and genotypic characteristics most similar to that of fusarium solani while Hf.2 was most similar to Emericella nidulans with high similarity of 99%and 97%*** multiple sequence alignment of the two fungal isolates showed that,the maximum identical conserved domains in the 18s rRNA genes were identified with the nucleotide regions of Slst to 399th base pairs,88th to 525th base pairs *** those in the ITS genes were identified with the nucleotide regions of 88th to 463rd and Slst to *** two isolates showed ICsub>50 value with（6.24±5.21） and（9.84±0.36） μ g/mL) concentrations respectively at *** transcription- PCR indicated that these cells showed high level of expression for p53 ***:The morphology and molecular analysis identified Hf.1 and Hf.2 to be fusarium solani and Emericella nidulans;new isolates of anticancer producing fungi from Wady El-Natroon city in *** with the two isolates caused P53 expression in Caco-2 cell *** two isolates can be used as an anticancer agents.
