The study of viruses and their genetics has been an opportunity as well as a challenge for the scientific *** recent ongoing SARSCov2(Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome)pandemic proved the unpreparedness for these *** only the countermeasures for the effect caused by virus need to be tackled but the mutation taking place in the very genome of the virus is needed to be kept in check *** major way to find out more information about such pathogens is by extracting the genetic data of such *** genetic data of viruses have been cultured and stored as well as isolated in form of their genome sequences,there is still limited methods on what new viruses can be generated in future due to *** research proposes a deep learning model to predict the genome sequences of the SARS-Cov2 virus using only the previous viruses of the coronaviridae family with the help of RNN-LSTM(Recurrent Neural Network-Long ShortTerm Memory)and RNN-GRU(Gated Recurrent Unit)so that in the future,several counter measures can be taken by predicting possible changes in the genome with the help of existing mutations in the *** the process of testing the model,the f1-recall came out to be more than *** mutation detection’s accuracy of both the models come out about 98.5%which shows the capability of the recurrent neural network to predict future changes in the genome of virus.

Blood Consumption in Placental Abnormalities

Introduction: Hemorrhage is one of the most common causes of maternal morbidity and mortality. This study was conducted to investigate how much abnormal placentation can affect blood bank capacity and to measure the burden on the blood bank caused by excessive use of blood and blood products. Methodology: This is a retrospective study conducted at King Saud Medical City Maternity Hospital in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from January 2019-September 2020. It includes 170 cases diagnosed with abnormal placentation (low-lying placenta or placenta previa, accreta, increta, or percreta). The primary purpose was to measure consumption of blood and blood products in cases of placental abnormalities and to investigate how much this affects blood bank capacity. A secondary aim was to report rates of admission to the ICU and maternal mortality. Results: This study included 170 women with placental abnormalities. Placental previa had occurred in 96 cases, followed by placenta accreta in 46 cases, placenta increta in 13 cases, placenta percreta in 8 cases, and low-lying placenta in 7 cases. Most patients (93) were treated with a Bakri balloon to prevent hemorrhage, but 38 patients had a hysterectomy. The average estimation of blood loss was 2210 ml, with no maternal mortality. An average of 3.39 units of packed red blood cells (PRBC) with a maximum of 20 units, 2.12 units of fresh frozen plasma (ffP) with a maximum of 20 units, and 0.7 units of packed platelets (PP) with maximum of 12 units consumed per patient. Eighty-seven patients (51.2%) were admitted to the ICU and 83 others (48.8%) were admitted to the high dependency unit. Conclusion:font-family: "> Blood and blood product volumes had a linear relationship with the severity of placental abnormalities and estimated blood loss. Therefore, blood bank services should be available to save mothers’ life.

Entropy Bayesian Analysis for the Generalized Inverse Exponential Distribution Based on URRSS

This paper deals with the Bayesian estimation of Shannon entropy for the generalized inverse exponential *** that the observed samples are taken from the upper record ranked set sampling(URRSS)and upper record values(URV)*** of Bayesian estimators are derived depending on a gamma prior distribution considering the squared error,linear exponential and precautionary loss functions,in addition,we obtain Bayesian credible *** random-walk Metropolis-Hastings algorithm is handled to generate Markov chain Monte Carlo samples from the posterior ***,the behavior of the estimates is examined at various record *** output of the study shows that the entropy Bayesian estimates under URRSS are more convenient than the other estimates under URV in the majority of the ***,the entropy Bayesian estimates perform well as the number of records *** obtained results validate the usefulness and efficiency of the URV *** data is analyzed for more clarifying purposes which validate the theoretical results.

Highlights in pathogenesis of vitiligo

Vitiligo is a common pigmentary disorder. Many studies across decades and all over the world have attempted to illustrate the pathogenesis behind it; however, the pathogenesis of vitiligo remains elusive. This review article, we present the findings behind the most and updated theories behind this psychologically debilitating and disfiguring disease. The discussion begun with the role of genetic predisposition followed by neural theory first proposed in the 1950 s. Wehighlight the autoimmune hypothesis, followed by the reactive oxygen species model, zinc-α2-glycoprotein deficiency hypothesis, viral theory, intrinsic theory and biochemical, molecular and cellular alterations accounting for loss of functioning melanocytes in vitiligo. Many theories were elaborated to clarify vitiligo pathogenesis. It is a multifactorial disease involving the interplay of several factors. future research is needed to clarify the interaction of these factors for better understanding of vitiligo pathogenesis and subsequent successful treatment.

Predictors of Glycemic Control among Patients with Type 2 Diabetes in Najran Armed forces Hospital: A Pilot Study

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a serious condition with potentially devastating complications that affects all age groups worldwide. The purposes of this study are to describe the glycemic control levels and to determine the associated factors of poor glycemiccontrol among type 2 diabetes patients followed in Najran Armed forces Hospital. Methods:We conducted a retrospective analysis of administrative data from adult patients with diabetes type 2 followed in NAfH clinics. To be included in the pilot study, patients needed to meet the following criteria: 1) Be identified as having diabetes type 2 using algorithms employed by disease management oasis program;2) Be at least aged 18;3) Be male or female;4) Have fasting Plasma Glucose (fPG) and HbA1c measured at least twice during the last year. Both univariate and multivariate approaches of logistic regression were applied to determine factors associated with poor glycemic control. Results: Data from a total of 100 patients were analyzed. There were 22% of patients that achieved glycemic control. The risk factors associated with poor glycemic control were being female, age al cholesterol. Conclusion: The findings of this study showed that diabetic control is suboptimal. This study provides factors that predict poor glycemic control. With this information, sub-groups with high risk of disease morbidity were identified. Barriers that prevent these patients from meeting their goals must be explored to improve health outcomes.

Treatment of hepatitis C virus genotype 4 with peginterferon alfa-2a: Impact of bilharziasis and fibrosis stage

AIM： To evaluate pegylated interferon alpha2a （PegIfN-α2a） in Egyptian patients with HCV genotype 4, and the impact of pretreatment viral load, co-existent bilharziasis and histological liver changes on response rate. METHODS： A total of 73 nafve patients （61 with history of bilharziasis） with compensated chronic HCV genotype 4 were enrolled into： group A （38 patients） who received 180 mg PegIfN-alpha2a subcutaneously once weekly for a year and group B （35 patients） received IfN alpha-2a 3 MU 3 times weekly. Ribavirin was added to each regimen at a dose of 1200 mg. Patients were followed for 72 wk and sustained response was assessed. RESULTS： Significant improvement in both end of treatment response （ETR）（P 〈 0.002） and sustained response （SR）（P 〈 0.05） was noted with pegylated interferon, where ETR was achieved in 29 （76.3%） and 14 patients （40%） in both groups respectively, and 25 patients in group A （65.8%） and 9 （25.7%） in group B could retain negative viraemia by the end of follow up period. Sustained virological response （SVR） showed a significant negative correlation with age and positive correlation with pretreatment inflammation in patients receiving PegIfN. Viral clearance after 3 mo of therapy was associated with high incidence of ETR and SR （P 〈 0.001）, but without significant difference between both forms of interferon. Significant improvement in response was achieved in patients with high grade fibrosis （grade 3 and 4） with PegIfN-α2a, where SR was seen in 5 out of 13 patients in group A, but none in group B. There was no significant difference in response between bilharzial and non-bilharzial patients in both groups. In terms of safety and tolerability, neutropenia was the predominant side effect, both drugs were comparable. CONCLUSION： PegIfN-~2a combined with ribavirin results in improvement in sustained response in HCV genotype 4, irrespective of history of bilharzial infestation.

Spatial Configuration of Traditional Dwellings in Riyadh al-Khabra Traditional Town, Saudi Arabia

Traditional buildings, particularly residential dwellings, are spatio-temporal reflections of the society and culture in which they were originally sited. Understanding the nature of this built heritage thus fosters interpretation of previous generations’ experiences in these older settlements, all of which can thus be described as products of several different cultural dimensions. Qassim province, which sits in the central province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is distinguished by having retained various traditional towns and villages, including multiple dwellings representing important eras in the past. However, due to the local population’s abandonment of these traditional towns and movement to new urban areas, and related failures in conservation and restoration, some of these towns have lost many of their unique characteristics, especially with regard to their dwellings. This research thus attempts to interpret the relationships between the spatial configuration of traditional dwellings in Saudi Arabia and their socio-cultural principles and values, focusing on decoding their interior spatial constants and genotypes. The study proposes the use of space syntax theory, represented by the justified plan graph method, as an appropriate socio-spatial methodology for such work, targeting the traditional town of Riyadh al-Khabra in Qassim province as a case study area, with eight dwellings built between 1900 and 1940 used as examples. Interpretation of analysis results enabled defining spatial constants digitally in these traditional dwellings through the benefit of syntactic analysis techniques, and the main findings of this research reveal the significance of various social and cultural factors and customs among inhabitants with regard to determining the spatial form and properties of traditional dwellings in towns such as Riyadh al-Khabra.

Determination of gamma-ray parameters for polyethylene glycol of different molecular weights

Mass attenuation coefficient(μ_m) for polyethylene glycol(PEG) of different molecular weights was determined by using NaI(Tl) scintillator and Win Xcom mixture rule at gamma energies of 59.5, 302.9, 356.0, 661.7, 1173.2 and 1332.5 keV. The total atomic, molecular and electronic cross sections, half-value layer, effective atomic and electron numbers, mass energy-absorption coefficients and kerma relative to air are calculated. The energy and compositional dependence of μ_m values, and the related radiation absorption parameters, are evaluated and discussed. The experimental results agree well with the theoretical ones, within an uncertainty of 1% in the effective atomic number for all PEG samples at the designated energies.

Approximation of Rainfall Erosivity factors in North Jordan

Despite being in arid and semi-arid areas,erosion is largely a result of infrequent but heavy rainfall events; therefore,rainfall erosivity data can be used as an indicator of potential erosion *** purpose of this study was to investigate the spatial distribution of annual rainfall erosivity in North Jordan.A simplified procedure was used to correlate erosivity factor R values in both the universal soil loss equation (USLE) and the revised universal soil loss equation (RUSLE) with annual rainfall amount or modified fournier index (f mod ).Pluviometric data recorded at 18 weather stations covering North Jordan were used to predict R *** annual values of erosivity ranged between 86-779 MJ mm ha ?1 h ?1 year ?1 .The northwest regions of Jordan showed the highest annual erosivity values,while the northeastern regions showed the lowest annual erosivity values.

Coupled pile soil interaction analysis in undrained condition

The effective stress method is developed to predict the axial capacity of piles in clay. The effective stress state changes due to the resulting pore pressure change and therefore, the strength and stiffness of the soil will change. In this work, the finite element method is utilized as a tool for the analysis of pile-soil systems in undrained condition. The computer program CRISP was developed to suit the problem requirements. CRISP uses the finite element technique and allows predictions to be made of ground deformation using critical state theories. Eight-node isoparametric element was added to the program in addition to the slip element. A pile loading problem was solved in which the pile-soil system is analyzed in undrained condition. The pile is modelled as elastic-plastic material, while the soil is assumed to follow the modified Cam clay model. During undrained loading condition, the settlement values increase by 22% when slip elements are used. The surface settlement increases by about three times when the load is doubled and the surface settlement at all points increases when using slip elements due to the mode of motion which allows smooth movement of the adjacent soil with respect to the pile. The vertical displacement increases as the distance decreases from the pile and negligible values are obtained beyond 10D (where D is the pile diameter) from the center of the pile and these values are slightly increased when slip elements are used. The vertical effective stress along a section at a distance D from the pile center is approximately the same for all load increments and lower values of effective vertical stress can be obtained when slip elements are used.
