在此实验计划中,裸露的fEP特氟隆膜将受到紫外及带电粒子的辐射。另外。0.127mm厚的镀铝和镀银fEP特氟隆膜将:1)在真空和氧气中受到紫外辐射;2)受到5、10、25或者30keV电子和质子的辐射;3)暴露于紫外同质子和紫外同电子的辐射中。带电粒子辐射表明在1×10^(15+)粒子/cm^(2+)通量照射下,镀银和铝材杆的光谱反射率发生了一种可以测量到的变化,其退化作用随照舒总通量的增加而增加。在一定通量的紫外照射下,这种光谱反射率首先发生改变并且特别显著。在总通量为1×l0(16+)粒子/cm^(2+)的照射下,材杆表面总的看起来呈云雾状并常常出现斑点。进一步研究表明这种斑点是由特氛隆膜中Litchenberg图形的存在引起的。在电子照射时,斑点是由电荷贮存和继后的放电引起的。计算得出的积分太阳吸收率的变化大致与其它观察家的报告相符。紫外结果证实镀银特氟隆膜在真空中受到辐射时是稳定的;而镀铝特氟隆膜受到辐射时,积分太阳吸收率出现了少量的减少(也就是说有所改善)。

Epiphytic orchids exhibit varying degrees of phorophyte tree *** orchid species show a strong phorophyte preference,while other species associate with a broad range of tree *** trees that carry epiphytic orchids play a crucial role in orchid life cycle,little is known about this phorophyte-epiphyte *** performed a pilot study to investigate why epiphytic orchids prefer or avoid certain *** question becomes more puzzling when the preferred trees differ among epiphytes that seem to mutually exclude each other,within the same *** this reason,we selected two orchid species,Panisea uniflora and Bulbophyllum odoratissimum co-occurring in a forest habitat in southern China,where they showed a specific association with Quercus yiwuensis and Pistacia weinmannifolia trees,*** analysed a number of environmental factors potentially influencing the relationship between orchids and trees,including bark and orchid root fungal *** in bark features,such as water holding capacity and pH were recorded between *** and ***,which could influence both orchid seed germination and fungal diversity on the two *** and molecular culture-based methods,combined with metabarcoding analyses,were used to assess fungal communities associated with studied orchids and trees.A total of 162 fungal species in 74 genera were isolated from bark *** two genera,Acremonium and Verticillium,were shared by the two phorophyte *** analysis confirmed the presence of significantly different fungal communities on the investigated tree and orchid species,with considerable similarity between each orchid species and its host tree,suggesting that the orchid-host tree association is influenced by the fungal communities of the host tree bark.

The limited intrinsic healing potential of human articular cartilage is a well-known problem in orthopedic surgery. Thus a variety of surgical techniques have been developed to reduce joint pain, improve joint function and delay the onset of osteoarthritis. Microfractures as a bone marrow stimulation technique present the most common applied articular cartilage repair procedure today. Unfortunately the deficiencies of fibrocartilaginous repair tissue inevitably lead to breakdown under normal joint loading and clinical results deteriorate with time. To overcome the shortcomings of microfracture, an enhanced microfracture technique was developed with an additional collagen Ⅰ/Ⅲ membrane(Autologous, Matrix-Induced Chondrogenesis, AMIC). This article reviews the pre-clinical rationale of microfractures and AMIC, presents clinical studies and shows the advantages and disadvantages of these widely usedtechniques. PubM ed and the Cochrane database were searched to identify relevant studies. We used a comprehensive search strategy with no date or language restrictions to locate studies that examined the AMIC technique and microfracture. Search keywords included cartilage, microfracture, AMIC, knee, ChondroGide. Besides this, we included our own experiences and study authors were contacted if more and non published data were needed. Both cartilage repair techniques represent an effective and safe method of treating full-thickness chondral defects of the knee in selected cases. While results after microfracture deteriorate with time, mid-term results after AMIC seem to be enduring. Randomized studies with long-term followup are needed whether the grafted area will maintain functional improvement and structural integrity over time.

Objective:To explore the antioxidant and antidiabetic activities of Rhus longipes(***)leaf and stem bark aqueous ***:*** leaf and stem bark infusions were characterized via gas-chromatography mass-spectroscopy(GC-MS)*** vitro antioxidant and carbohydrate and lipid digestive enzyme inhibitory activities of *** infusions were ***,the modulatory effects of *** infusions on intestinal glucose absorption,muscle glucose uptake,and biomarkers of renal oxidative injury were *** docking was performed to determine the binding affinities of the identified compounds from the leaf and stem bark infusions on carbohydrate and lipid digestive ***:GC-MS analysis revealed the presence of several phytocompounds,including palmitoleic acid,octadecanamide,24,25-dihydroxyvitamin D and L-ascorbic *** bark infusion had significantly higher total phenolic contents compared with the leaf infusion,with better DPPH scavenging[IC_(50):(10.50±1.03)μg/mL]and ferric reducing[IC_(50):(9.85±0.32)μg/mL]activities(Pfusions at their highest concentrations significantly increased glucose uptake in yeast suspension and rat psoas muscle with marked suppression of glucose absorption in the rat jejunum(Pfusions lowered lipid peroxidation,increased cellular reduced glutathione concentration,and the activities of superoxide dismutase and catalase in renal homogenate treated with feSO_(4).Conclusions:*** shows antioxidant and antidiabetic activities and could be a potential therapeutic candidate for diabetes.

The aim of this study was to determine the susceptibility,intensity and distribution of pine trees to bark stripping by chacma baboons Papio ursinus in three plantations in the Eastern Highlands of *** number of plots/ha,stripped trees/plot and stripped trees/ha was recorded during the pre-rainy,rainy and post-rainy seasons from August 2006 to May *** data collection,altitude,aspect,season and other site predictor variables(e.g.,roads and fire traces,water points,indigenous vegetation conservation areas,crop fields,human settlements,wattle scrubs,rocky areas,open grasslands,earlier stripped sites and roost sites)were recorded for each plot in association with selected predictor variables within plantation *** on the number of stripped plots/ha,stripped trees/plot and stripped trees/ha were analysed as dependent variables using the Generalised Linear Model(GLM)through SPSS version 15(2006)to determine which predictor variables were significantly related to bark *** between means were tested using Bonferroni tests with a 5% level of *** findings show that bark stripping of pine trees by baboons occurred at all altitudes and ***,the number of bark stripped trees/ha did not significantly vary by *** number of bark stripped plots/ha was lower during the pre-rainy season than the rainy season,whereas the number of bark stripped trees/plot was higher during the pre-rainy than the rainy *** stripping of pines occurred more often in the vicinities of areas with abundant food and water.
