The current work seeks firstly the integration of a rainwater reuse system that will be of use in the watering of the green spaces, and secondly the re-use of purified water in the irrigation of agriculture spaces, which are in the nearby of wastewater treatment plant. The results show that 41% of the green spaces in the city of fez require a renovation and installation of adequate watering systems taking into account the specificity of the city which is crossed by several rivers badly exploited for watering. The purified wastewater is of much better quality than the Moroccan reuse standards and is discharged with a flow that is large enough for the irrigation water requirements of the fields close to wastewater treatment plant.

Sand is an inert element essential in the composition of concrete; its use ensures granular continuity between the cement and gravel for better cohesion of concrete. This paper presents the results of a study that investigated the influence of sand quality on the properties of fresh and hardened SCC （self-compacting concrete）. The dune sands are very fine materials characterized by a high intergranular porosity, high surface area and low fineness modulus; on the other hand crushed （manufactured） sand has a high rate into thin and irregular shapes which influence the workability of concrete. The amount of dune sand varies from （0%, 50% to 100%） by weight of fine aggregates. The results show that the rheological properties favour the use of dune sands; however the mechanical properties support the use of crushed sand.

Prevalence and Predictive factors of Severe Coronary Lesions in Algerian Patients Undergoing Coronary Angiography

Background: The severity of coronary lesions in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) has important prognostic and therapeutic consequences. Clinical symptoms not always reflect the disease severity and this study aimed to evaluate coronary lesions in the Algerian population where these data are scarce. Methods: It was a prospective cross-sectional study conducted in consecutive patients with an age ≥20 years who underwent clinically-indicated coronary angiography in our center. The objective of the study was to determine the prevalence of severe coronary lesions assessed with the Gensini score. The predictive factors of severity were evaluated in a multivariate analysis. Results: A total of 507 patients were included (male, 79.7%;mean age, 58.8 years). Coronary angiography was prescribed most frequently for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STMI) (46.9%) and non-STMI (38.1%). The prevalence of severe coronary lesions was 69.6% (95% CI 65.5 - 73.5). In multivariate analysis, the independent predictive factors of severe coronary lesions were male sex (odds ratio [OR] 2.00;p = 0.0141), diabetes (OR 1.92;p = 0.0070), left ventricular dysfunction (OR 1.81;p = 0.0059), age (OR 1.72;p = 0.0297) and no lipid-lowering treatment (OR, 0.47;p = 0.0388). Conclusions: Severe coronary lesions were present in two out three patients in this cohort of Algerian patients undergoing coronary angiography. Independent predictive factors of severe coronary lesions were male sex, diabetes, age, left ventricular dysfunction and no lipid-lowering treatment. It is important to identify these at-risk patients, as they should be explored at an asymptomatic stage before a cardiovascular event and receive prompt treatment with angioplasty or surgery.

The Dayet Iffer belongs to the Dayets of tectono-karst origin of the Northern Middle Atlas. After its watershed genesis of middle altitude during the Quaternary, two lacustrine formations were deposited on the surface while other thick formations exist in depth. The detailed sedimentological study of the soltanian and holocene lithological sections on the surface and the 14C datings helped recognize part of the history of the watershed. The geophysical study allowed to detect the thickness of the superficial geological formations as well as the various geological phenomena (tectonic and/or karst) that affected them from the genesis to the present. The current shape of the watershed where the Dayet Iffer exists is only the result of an evolution where sedimentary, tectonic and karst phenomena interfere. The tomography obtained with Res2DInv software, performed for the first time at the Dayet Iffer, reveals the presence of three ranges which can be interpreted as three resistive, intermediate and conductive zones with a large set of faults. These results helped determine the thickness (over 160 m) of the sedimentary filling. This shows that the hydrological behavior of the Dayet Iffer takes into account both horizontal flows at the stratification and/or karstic joints and the movement of sub-vertical fractures.

Spectrum sensing is a core function at cognitive radio systems to have spectrum awareness. This could be achieved by collecting samples from the frequency band under observation to make a conclusion whether the band is occupied, or it is a spectrum hole. The task of sensing is becoming more challenging especially at wideband spectrum scenario. The difficulty is due to conventional sampling rate theory which makes it infeasible to sample such very wide range of frequencies and the technical requirements are very costly. Recently, compressive sensing introduced itself as a pioneer solution that relaxed the wideband sampling rate requirements. It showed the ability to sample a signal below the Nyquist sampling rate and reconstructed it using very few measurements. In this paper, we discuss the approaches used for solving compressed spectrum sensing problem for wideband cognitive radio networks and how the problem is formulated and rendered to improve the detection performance.

The study area is located in a Mediterranean region, so the effects of the climate variations are very important. The authors contribution to this subject is based on the compilation of many results obtained from dissertations and theses that are carried out under their supervision. The main tool used, in addition to other methods, is the water hydrochemistry as it is proved very useful in obtaining good results and helpful in getting objective interpretations regarding the presence and absence of salinity. Several factors are undertaken to show the presence of salts in waters in the plain, the lithology of the geological formations shows that they are composed of alluvium sediments where the permeability is quite high, and this enables hydraulic communication between the fresh water of the aquifer and saline water of the sea. The study of climate shows a decrease of precipitation which favors an important decrease of recharge rate to the aquifer, and hence a decrease of water resource. The strontium which is a good indicator for the origin of salinity shows a variation that indicates a variation in the distribution of the salinity, and therefore diverse origins of salinity all over the studied area. This can infer the presence of marine invasion in the down-stream part of the aquifer, whereas elsewhere salinity is caused by the presence of evaporitic formation, mainly by the argillaceous matrix in the bottom of the lake. in the up-stream part of the aquifer. 目的过去10年内人们愈发希望开发出可供胸主动脉功能成像的血管成像技术,本文即是为上述目的提供一种MRI和流体动力学相结合方法,以获得病人的具体血流动力学情况,即应用胸主动脉修复情况分析病人的治疗。方法首先以MR扫描确定范围,然后用MRI的心电门控电影序列对整个胸主动脉区进行扫描,并用相位对比成像技术提供血管入口及出口情况进行流体动力学计算,再利用电影成像显示动脉形态模型,模拟血管壁运动,假设血流为均匀牛顿流体,并对有限体积进行流体动力学计算处理。结果针对14例病人(男性,平均年龄62.2岁)不同的主动脉病变进行评估,根据四维映射的速度和血管壁切面的压力得到不同模式的血流(层流、湍流及狭窄血流)以及沿原主动脉支架壁压力的改变。结论这种计算与MRI相结合的方法,能够提供胸主动脉支架植入后详细的功能学分析。
