The outbreak of.Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2 virus or COVID-19) disease was declared pandemic by the WorldHealth Organization (WHO) on March 11, 2020. COVID-19 has already af.ectedmore than 211 nations. In such a bleak scenario, it becomes imperative to analyzeand identif. those regions in Saudi Arabia that are at high risk. A preemptivestudy done in the context of.predicting the possible COVID-19 hotspots wouldf.cilitate in the implementation of.prompt and targeted countermeasures againstSARS-CoV-2, thus saving many lives. Working towards this intent, the presentstudy adopts a decision making based methodology of.simulation named Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), a multi criteria decision making approach, f.rassessing the risk of.COVID-19 in dif.erent regions of.Saudi Arabia. AHP givesthe ability to measure the risks numerically. Moreover, numerical assessments arealways ef.ective and easy to understand. Hence, this research endeavour employsf.zzy based computational method of.decision making f.r its empirical *** in the proposed paper suggest that Riyadh and Makkah are the mostsusceptible regions, implying that if.sustained and f.cused preventive measuresare not introduced at the right juncture, the two cities could be the worst af.lictedwith the inf.ction. The results obtained through f.zzy based computationalmethod of.decision making are highly corroborative and would be very usef.lf.r categorizing and assessing the current COVID-19 situation in the Kingdomof.Saudi Arabia. More specif.cally, identif.ing the cities that are likely to beCOVID-19 hotspots would help the country’s health and medical f.aternity toreinf.rce intensive containment strategies to counter the ills of.the pandemic insuch regions.

In this research study, we have synthesized the bio-capped ZnO/g-C_(3)N_(4) nanocomposites by employing lemon juice(Citrus limon) as a stabilizer and mediator. f.uitf.lly, lemon juice which contains various acidic f.nctional groups and citric acid has the capability to block the surf.ce of.g-C_(3)N_(4) f.om chemical reactivity and activated the surf.ce of.g-C_(3)N_(4) f.r various reactions. Consequently, the agglomeration behavior and controlled shape of.g-C_(3)N_(4) has also been achieved. Our experimental results i.e. XRD,TEM, HRTEM, PL, f., XPS, and PEC have conf.rmed that the lemon juice mediated and green g-C_(3)N_(4)(L-CN) have good perf.rmances and remarkable visible light photocatalytic activities as compared to the chemically synthesized g-C_(3)N_(4)(CN). f.rthermore, the small surf.ce area and low charge separation of.g-C_(3)N_(4) is upgraded by coupling with Zn O nanoparticles. It is proved that the coupling of.Zn O worked as a f.cilitator and photoelectron modulator to enhance the charge separation of.g-C_(3)N_(4). Compared to pristine lemon-mediated green g-C_(3)N_(4)(L-CN), the most active sample 5Zn O/L-CN showed ~ 5-f.ld improvement in activities f.r ciprof.oxacin(CIP) and methylene blue(MB) degradation. More specif.cally,the mineralization process and degradation pathways, and the mineralization process of.ciprof.oxacin(CIP) and methylene blue(MB) are suggested. f.nally, our present novel research work will provide new access to synthesize the eco-f.iendly and bio-caped green g-C_(3)N_(4)nanomaterials and their employment f.r pollutants degradation and environmental purif.cation.

Impact of.selection of.DC base values and DC link control strategies on sequential AC-DC power-f.ow convergence

This paper demonstrates the convergence of.the integrated AC-DC power-f.ow algorithm as af.ected by the selection of.dif.erent base values f.r the DC quantities and adoption of.dif.erent control strategies f.r the DC link. f.r power-f.ow modeling of.integrated AC-DC systems, the base values of.the various DC quantities can be def.ned in several ways, giving rise to dif.erent sets of.per-unit system equations. It is observed that dif.erent per-unit system models af.ect the convergence of.the power-f.ow algorithm dif.erently. In a similar manner, the control strategy adopted f.r the DC link also af.ects the power- f.ow convergence. The sequential method is used to solve the DC variables in the Newton Raphson （NR） power f.ow model, where AC and DC systems are solved separately and are coupled by injecting an equivalent amount of.real and reactive power at the terminal AC buses. Now, f.r a majority of.the possible control strategies, the equivalent real and reactive power injections at the concerned buses can be computed a-priori and are independent of.the NR iterative loop. However, f.r a f.w of.the control strategies, the equivalent reactive power injections cannot be computed a-priori and need to be computed in every NR iteration. This af.ects the perf.rmance of.the iterative process. Two dif.erent per-unit system models and six typical control strategies are taken into consideration. This is validated by numerous case studies conducted on the IEEE 118-bus and 300-bus test systems.

During the last decade the emergence of.Internet of.Things(IoT)based applications inspired the world by providing state of.the art solutions to many common *** traf.ic management systems to urban cities planning and development,IoT based home monitoring systems,and many other smart *** of.these f.cilities,most of.these IoT based solutions are data driven and results in small accuracy values f.r smaller *** order to address this problem,this paper presents deep learning based hybrid approach f.r the development of.an IoT-based intelligent home security and appliance control system in the smart *** hybrid model consists of.convolution neural network and binary long short term model f.r the object detection to ensure saf.ty of.the homes while IoT based hardware components like;Raspberry Pi,Amazon Web services cloud,and GSM modems f.r remotely accessing and controlling of.the home *** android application is developed and deployed on Amazon Web Services(AWS)cloud f.r the remote monitoring of.home appliances.A GSM device and Message queuing telemetry transport(MQTT)are integrated f.r communicating with the connected IoT devices to ensure the online and of.line *** object detection purposes a camera is connected to Raspberry Pi using the proposed hybrid neural network *** applicability of.the proposed model is tested by calculating results f.r the object at varying distance f.om the camera and f.r dif.erent intensity levels of.the *** many applications the proposed model promises f.r providing optimum results f.r the small amount of.data and results in high recognition rates of.95.34%compared to the conventional recognition model(k nearest neighbours)recognition rate of.76%.

Multiuser Detection f.r MIMO-Of.M system in Underwater Communication Using a Hybrid Bionic Binary Spotted Hyena Optimizer

Multi Access Interf.rence (MAI) is the main source limiting the capacity and quality of.the Multiple-Input Multiple-Output Orthogonal f.equency Division Multiplexing (MIMO-Of.M) system which f.lf.lls the demand of.high-speed transmission rate and high quality of.service f.r f.ture underwater acoustic (UWA) communication. Multi User Detection (MUD) is needed to overcome the perf.rmance degradation caused by MAI. In this research, both local and global optimal solutions are obtained in Bionic Binary Spotted Hyena Optimizer (BBSHO) algorithm using the Position Coordinate Vectors (PCVs) of.the social behavior of.spotted hyenas to achieve MUD. f.rther, Extremal Optimization (EO) is introduced in BBSHO algorithm to improve the local search ability within the search space. Hence, a hybrid BBSHO algorithm is proposed f.r achieving MUD at the receiver of.the MIMO-Of.M system whose transceiver model in underwater is implemented using BELLHOP simulation system. By MATLAB simulation, it is shown that the Bit Error Rate (BER) perf.rmance of.the proposed hybrid algorithm outperf.rms with best optimal solution within the search space towards MUD f.r Interf.rence to Noise Ratio (INR) at 10 dB, 20 dB, and 40 dB over conventional detectors and metaheuristic approaches such as Binary Spotted Hyena Optimizer (BSHO), Binary Particle Swarm Optimization (BPSO) in the UWA network.

Time stepping in discontinuous Galerkin method

The time discretization in the Discontinuous Galerkin （DG） scheme has been traditionally based on the Total Variation Diminishing （TVD） second-order Runge-Kutta （RK2） scheme. Computational ef.iciency and accuracy with the Euler f.rward （Ef. and the TVD second-order RK2 time stepping schemes in the DG method are investigated in this work. Numerical tests are condu- cted with the scalar Burgers equation, 1-D and 2-D shallow water f.ow equations. The maximum Courant number or time step size required f.r stability f.r the Ef.scheme and RK2 scheme with dif.erent slope limiters are compared. Numerical results show that the slope limiters af.ect the stability requirement in the DG method. The RK2 scheme is generally more dif.usive than the Ef.scheme, and the RK2 scheme allows larger time step sizes. The Ef.scheme is f.und to be more ef.icient and accurate than the RK2 scheme in the DG method in computation.

A Seismic Hazard Map Based on Geology and Shear-wave Velocity in Rawalpindi–Islamabad,Pakistan

The‘twin cities’district of.Rawalpindi–Islamabad is among the most endangered seismic regions in Pakistan,with the seismic hazard assessed(0.32 g)to intensity IX MMI f.r a 475-year return period.A seismic hazard map f.r Rawalpindi–Islamabad is presented herein,based on 85 shear-wave velocity(VS)prof.les obtained through geophysical H/V measurements and f.om the geological map of.the *** between the average top thirty-meter shear-wave velocities(VS30)and surf.cial geological units have been *** peak ground acceleration(PGA)maps f.r 150,475 and 2475-year return periods were converted into a seismic intensity *** increments f.r dif.erent soils were used to compute PGA values f.r 150,475 and 2475-year return *** located on sof.er ground experienced a higher degree of.damage f.om moderate *** to the presence of.sof. clay or liquef.able soil and lateral spreading,a f.w locations may be classif.ed as hybrid sites class C and *** map is a critical step in f.cilitating code-based site classif.cation and seismic design throughout Rawalpindi–*** the seismic hazard map based on seismic intensities is no longer used in engineering geology,it is still important in seismological analysis and f.r civil protection purposes.

Well crystalline manganese oxide(Mn_(3)O_(4))nanoparticles anchored on gamma alumina(γ-Al_(2)O_(3))have been successf.lly tailored via a prof.cient and cost ef.ective chemical process as an ef.icient material f.r photo *** indicated the composite f.rmation of.-Al_(2)O_(3) and hausmannite structure of.Mn_(3)O_(4).SEM and TEM revealed that hetero structure of.Mn_(3)O_(4)/γ-Al_(2)O_(3) exhibits an amalgam of.aggregated nanoparticles and *** demonstrated the chemical states of.binary *** band gap tuning has been perf.rmed withγ-Al_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles by assimilating hausmannite Mn_(3)O_(4) particles into f.ower like microstructure of.Al_(2)O_(3).The photoluminescence spectra af.irmed the enhancement in charge separation in Mn_(3)O_(4)/γ-Al_(2)O_(3) binary hybrid *** band gap becomes narrow with the increase in concentrations of.Mn_(3)O_(4).The narrowing of.band gap is concorded with crystalline domains of.primary aggregated *** elucidate the mechanism of.the photocatalytic activity linear sweep voltammetry was *** results showed that Mn_(3)O_(4)/γ-Al_(2)O_(3) nanocomposite revealed the enhancement in current density as compared to pureγ-Al_(2)O_(3) which conf.rmed the electron transf.r f.om Mn_(3)O_(4) toγ-Al_(2)O_(3) through the interf.cial potential gradient in conduction *** optimum concentration of.6.0%Mn_(3)O_(4)/γ-Al_(2)O_(3) f.r hybrid structure showed an excellent photocatalytic activity under visible light due to narrow band gap *** degree distribution of.Mn_(3)O_(4) nano architects overlying onγ-Al_(2)O_(3) induces a signif.cant synergic ef.ect betweenγ-Al_(2)O_(3) and hausmannite phase of.manganese oxide(Mn_(3)O_(4)).This strong interf.cial contact betweenγ-Al_(2)O_(3) and Mn_(3)O_(4) endures the quick transf.r of.photo generated charge carriers across interf.ce.
