Background:f.ilure to rescue has been an ef.ective quality metric in congenital heart ***,mor.bidity and mor.ality depend greatly on non-modif.able individual f.ctors and have a weak correlation with better-quality *** aim to measure the complications,mor.ality,and risk f.ctors in pediatric patients undergoing congenital heart surgery in a high-complexity institution located in a middle-income country and compare it with other institutions that have conducted a similar ***:A retrospective observational study was conducted in a high-complexity service provider institution,in Cali,*** pediatric patients undergoing any congenital heart surgery between 2019 and 2022 were *** main outcomes evaluated in the study were complication,mor.ality,and f.ilure to rescue *** and multivariate logistic regression analysis was perf.rmed with mor.ality as the outcome ***:We evaluated 308 congenital heart *** the outcomes,201(65%)complications occurred,23(7.5%)patients died,and the f.R of.the entire cohort was 11.4%.The presence of.a postoperative complication(OR 14.88,CI 3.06–268.37,p=0.009),age(OR 0.79,CI 0.57–0.96,p=0.068),and urgent/emergent surgery(OR 8.14,CI 2.97–28.66,pf.cant variables in predicting ***:f.ilure to rescue is an ef.ective and comparable quality measure in healthcare institutions and is the major contributor to postoperative mor.ality in congenital heart *** our higher mor.ality and complication rate,we obtained a comparable f.ilure to rescue rate to high-income countries’health institutions.

f.rmation of.Edge Transport Barriers by L-H Transition and Large Reversed Plasma Current on LHD

On the Large Helical device （LHD） where nested magnetic surf.ces are surrounded by the ergodic f.eld layer, edge transport barrier （ETB） was produced in neutral-beam-injection （NBI） heated plasmas through transition and non-transition processes. The f.rmer case is the ETB f.rmation by L-Htransition, where characteristics of.L-H transition observed in a tokamak plasma are clearly recognized. The conf.nement improvement is the modest （- 10%）, compared with the ISS95 international stellarator scaling. The threshold power f.r the transition is comparable or slightly lower than the ITER scaling law established by tokamaks and compact tori. The ETB is f.rmed inside the ergodic f.eld layer of.the vacuum f.eld. The ETB f.rmation destabilizes edge coherent modes such as m/n = 1/1, 2/3 and 1/2, of.which rational surf.ces are in the magnetic hill. The f.rmed ETB is partially and transiently destroyed by these coherent edge MHD modes and edge localized modes （ELMs） typically observed in Ha signals. The latter ETB is observed in a plasma with large reversed NBI-driven current mor. than 100 kA at Bt = 1 T. In these plasmas, the edge magnetic shear is enhanced by the current and the rotational transf.rm in the core region is expected to be appreciably reduced. Thus reduced rotational transf.rm in the plasma central region will enhance outward heat and particle f.uxes toward ergodic edge layer. The ETB with steep electron temperature gradient up to - 5 keV/m is f.rmed by blocking enhanced outward heat f.ux.

We made intensive samplings to study the seasonal response of.spiders across dif.erent f.rest strata(ground and understory)in a tropical mountain cloud f.rest f.om *** sampled spiders f.om ten plots in six sampling events during the dry and rainy season,to analyze their abundance,structure(distribution of.abundance among species),diversity and the response of.the f.ve dominant species at each *** demonstrated that seasonal patterns of.spider communities dif.ered among strata,revealing a complex spatiotemporal ***,structure,diversity of.ground spiders,as well as the responses of.f.ur dominant species at this stratum,showed low seasonal *** contrast,a strong seasonal variation was observed f.r the understory assemblage,with lowest abundance and highest diversity in the rainy season,and dif.erent assemblage structures f.r each *** patterns of.each assemblage seem linked to the responses of.their dominant *** f.und high co-occurrence among most of.the ground dominant species with similar habitat use and with multivoltine patterns,contrasting with low co-occurrence among most of.the understory dominant species with similar habitat use and univoltine *** results showed that the spiders’assemblages of.tropical mountain cloud f.rest(opposed to what is f.und in temperate and boreal f.rests)increase their species richness with the height,and that their responses to seasonal change dif.er between *** programs of.these habitats should consider the spatial and temporal variations f.und here,as a better understanding of.their ecological dynamics is required to support their sustainable management.

Up to this date,researchers are still f.cing dif.iculties to expand the technology of.direct methanol f.el cells(DMf.s) because of.the high overpotential required to oxidize the methanol and its relatively poor perf.rmance due to CO poisoning of.the leading-high cost anode *** line with this,we have successf.lly modif.ed the mor.hological structure and composition of.low cost cobalt based-metal oxides,MCo_2O_4(M = Zn and Ni),with the simple and noble use of.polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP) as growth modif.er and surf.ce stabilizer during the synthesis of.nanoparticles in our previous reports,which shown high electrocatalytic activity and strong *** to the good perf.rmance of.our PVP modif.ed MCo_2O_4 towards pseudocapacitor and oxygen evolution reaction applications,we decided to extend our research study to methanol oxidation ***,PVP modif.ed Ni Co_2O_4 electrode directly grown on nickel f.am substrate via a simple hydrothermal process exhibited better perf.rmance compared with PVP modif.ed ZnCo_2O_4 and NiCo_2O_4 without *** had obtained a remarkably low onset potential of.0.285 V and high current density of.280 m A cm^(-2),and shown great stability and high poison tolerance during a continuous CV cycling and Chronoamperometry test,which attained high ef.iciency of.86.86%and 98.52%,*** positive results of.PVP modif.ed Ni Co_2O_4 electrode towards mor.might be attributed to its hierarchical 3 D nanostructures with highly mesoporous surf.ce and large surf.ce area which may have provided numerous electroactive sites,and the exceptional corrosion stability of.Ni Co_2O_4 electrode in alkaline solution.

In this work, we use the f.niteness of.the mor.ell-weil group and the Riemann Roch spaces to give a geometric parametrization of.the set of.algebraic points of.any given degree over the f.eld of.rational numbers Q on curve C3 (11): y11 = x3 (x-1)3. This result is a special case of.quotients of.f.rmat curves Cr,s (p) : yp = xr(x-1)s, 1 ≤ r, s, r + s ≤ p-1 f.r p = 11 and r = s = 3. The results obtained extend the work of.Gross and Rohrlich who determined the set of.algebraic points on C1(11)(K) of.degree at most 2 on Q.

Introduction: The involvement of.the endothelial dysf.nction (ED) in arterial hypotension (AHPT) post of.spinal anesthesia (SA) has not been established. Objective: To determine if.there is a relationship between ED and AHPT observed during the 1st 15 minutes af.er SA. Population and Methods: The study concerned 40 people who were to benef.t f.om a programmed herniorrhaphy under SA and 40 controls (SA-). The correlations between mean plasma concentrations of.endothelin-1 (CmET-1, pg/ml) and Vascular Cell Adhesion Molecule-1 (CmVCAM-1, pg/ml) taken f.om SA+ one hour bef.re (H0), then 15 minutes af.er the SA (H15) and the mean arterial pression (AMP, mmHg) with heart rate (bpm) were analyzed (p Results: CmET-1 and CmVCAM-1 of.SA- were 1.07 and 3.34, respectively, compared to 1.12 (p = 0.735) and 3.57 (p = 0.862) in SA+ at H0 and H15. In SA+, at H15, CmET-1 was 1.13 (p = 0.823) and CmVCAM-1 was 3.57 (p = 0.257). In SA-, a negative correlation existed between CmET-1 and CmVCAM-1 (r = -0.438;p = 0.005). Conversely, in SA+, whether at H0 (r = -0.31;p = 0.051) or at H15 (r = 0.024;p = 0.883), no correlation existed between CmET-1 and CmVCAM-1, nor between MAP and ED markers (r = 0.111;p = 0.325). Conclusion: These results show that there is no relationship between the AHPT which occurs during the f.rst f.f.een minutes post SA, CmVCAM-1 and CmET-1. mor.over, these data suggest that ED is not involved in AHPT post SA.

对CCM2 (T42L1 8)模式运行 1 0次 ,每次初始状态稍微变化。试验结果表明了CCM2模式对初始场的响应 ,1 0次运行长波辐射 (LWR)加热率的标准差在全球许多地方和谱的许多尺度上超过 1 0 %。相似的结果也可以从云和温度的计算结果中发现。从CCM 2算法的 1 0次运行和应用CCM 2、mor.NMC三种不同的LWR算法的 3次运行的试验比较中发现 ,不同LWR算法模式运行之间的变率比没有LWR算法变化的初始场作用大得多。在CCM2模式中 ,比较应用CCM 2、mor.NMC三种不同的LWR算法的气候模拟 ,我们发现CCM 2和mor.算法比较接近 ,而和NMC的差别较大。但三种不同的LWR算法 3次运行积分结果的平均值和不同算法间的绝对差值在全球许多地方和不同尺度上的差别都超过 1 0 % ,远远大于初始场对气候模拟的作用。

Ef.ect of.Matricaria chamomilla Hydroalcoholic Extract on Cisplatin-induced Neuropathy in Mice

AIM: Cisplatin-based chemotherapy is a mainstay f.r the treatment of.solid tumor., especially colorectal, ovarian, testicular, bladder, and lung cancer. Studies have shown that cisplatin could have painf.l ef.ects on human and animal models. Matri-caria chamomilla (MC) has analgesic and anti-inf.ammatory ef.ects. The aim of.this study was to investigate the ef.ects of.MC hydro-alcoholic extract on cisplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy and to compare with mor.hine in mice. METHODS: Experiments were perf.rmed on 60 NMRI male mice weighed 25 g to 30 g which have been divided into 6 groups. The f.rst group received normal saline; the second group received MC hydroalcoholic extract; the third group received cisplatin; the f.urth group received MC hydroalcoholic extract and cisplatin, 96 hours bef.re f.rmalin test; the f.f.h group received mor.hine and the sixth group received cisplatin and mor.phine. The time of.injected hind paw biting and licking time were measured in 5-minute interval f.r an hour. RESULTS: Results showed that f.rmalin induced signif.cant (P f.rst phase: 0-5 min and the second phase: 15-40 min af.er injection). Administration of.MC extract bef.re f.rmalin injection showed signif.cant (P decrease of.pain responses in the f.rst and second phase. Administration of.cisplatin produced signif.cant (P f.f.rmalin test. Transcatheter aortic valve implantation in very elderly patients： immediate results and medium term f.llow-up

Objective To evaluate immediate transcatheter aortic valve implantation （TAVI） results and medium-term f.llow-up in very elderly pa- tients with severe and symptomatic aortic stenosis （AS）. Methods This multicenter, observational and prospective study was carried out in three hospitals. We included consecutive very elderly （〉 85 years） patients with severe AS treated by TAVI. The primary endpoint was to evaluate death rotes f.om any cause at two years. Results The study included 160 consecutive patients with a mean age of.87 ± 2.1 years （range f.om 85 to 94 years） and a mean logistic EuroSCORE of.18.8% ± 11.2% with 57 （35.6%） patients scoring 〉 20%. Procedural success rate was 97.5%, with 25 （15.6%） patients experiencing acute complications with major bleeding （the most f.equent）. Global mor.ality rate during hospitalization was 8.8% （n = 14） and 30-day mor.ality rate was 10% （n = 16）. Median f.llow up period was 252.24± 232.17 days. During the f.llow-up period, 28 （17.5%） patients died （17 of.them due to cardiac causes）. The estimated two year overall and cardiac survival rates using the Kaplan-Meier method were 71% and 86.4%, respectively. Cox proportional hazard regression showed that the variable EuroSCORE ≥ 20 was the unique vari- able associated with overall mor.ality. Conclusions TAVI is saf. and ef.ective in a selected population of.very elderly patients. Our f.ndings support the adoption of.this new procedure in this complex group of.patients.

Molecular Cloning and Characterization of.a Candidate ENOX Protein of.<i>Saccharomyces cerevisiae</i>with a 25 Min Period Insensitive to Simalikalactone D Inhibition and Melatonin

A yeast deletion library was screened based on NADH f.uorescence using a 384-well plate assay to identif. a yeast isolate lacking a previously identif.ed cell surf.ce oxidase exhibiting an oscillatory pattern with a period length of.25 min and resistant to the ENOX1-specif.c inhibitor simalikalactone D (YNOX f.r yeast-specif.c ENOX = ENOX4). The cDNA was cloned f.om a yeast over expression library using NADH f.uorescence analyzed by f.st f.urier transf.rm and decomposition f.ts. The objective was to identif. and sequence an ENOX homologue in Saccharomyces cerevisiae with a 25 min rather than a 24 min period length (YNOX). The f.nding identif.ed YDR005C as the yeast ENOX protein with a temperature-independent 25 min period length and insensitive to inhibition by simalikalactone D. The encoded protein was expressed in bacteria and characterized. Gel slices corresponding to 55 kDa and 39 kDa His-tagged proteins exhibited 25 min oscillatory patterns not inhibited by 1 μM simalikalactone D f.r both NADH oxidation and reduced coenzyme Q10 oxidation as well as a protein disulf.de-thiol interchange activity which alternated with the oxidative activities. Activities were phased by low-f.equency electromagnetic f.elds but, in contrast, to yeast ENOX1, not by addition of.melatonin. The assay in the presence of.D2O shif.ed the length of.the oscillatory period f.om 25 min to 32 min. The YDR005C deletion mutant cells lacked the ENOX4 clock output present in the wild type yeast.
