We reanalyze the recent computation of.the amplitude of.the Higgs boson decay into two photons presented by Gastmans et al. [1, 2]. The reasons f.r why this result cannot be the correct one have been discussed in some recent papers. We address here the general issue of.the indeterminacy of.integrals with f.ur-dimensional gauge-breaking regulators and to which extent it might eventually be solved by imposing physical constraints. Imposing gauge invariance as the last step upon Rξ-gauge calculations with f.ur-dimensional gauge-breaking regulators, allows us to recover the well known H→γγ result. However we show that in the particular case of.the unitary gauge, the indeterminacy cannot be tackled in the same way. The combination of.the unitary gauge with a cutof. regularization scheme turns out to be non-predictive.

The status and accuracy of.the precision Monte Carlo generators used f.r luminosity measurements at f.avour f.ctories is reviewed. It is shown that, thanks to a considerable, long-term ef.ort in tuned comparisons between the predictions of.independent programs, as well as in the validation of.the generators against the presently available calculations of.the next-to-next-to-leading order QED corrections to Bhabha scattering, the theoretical accuracy reached by the most precise tools is of.about one per mille. This error estimate is valid f.r realistic experimental cuts, appears to be quite robust and is already suf.icient f.r very accurate luminosity measurements. However, recent progress and possible advances to f.rther improve it are also discussed.

Molecular f.eld-coupled nanocomputing(molf.N)encodes inf.rmation in the molecule charge distribution and elaborates it through electrostatic *** the advantageous sub-nanometric size and low-power dissipation,only a f.w attempts have been made to validate the technology *** of.the obstacles is the dif.iculty in measuring molecule charges to validate inf.rmation encoding or integrate molf.N with complementary-metal-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS).In this work,we propose a paradigm preserving the advantages of.molf.N,which exploits the position of.waiving molecules to augment the inf.rmation *** validate the paradigm,named bend-boosted molf.N,with density f.nctional theory using 6-(f.rrocenyl)hexanethiol *** demonstrate that the encoded inf.rmation can be electrically read by constituting a molecular *** paradigm is compatible with the charge-based molf.N,thus acting as a readout *** obtained results f.vor the experimental assessment of.the molf.N principle through scanning probe microscopy techniques and the design of.molf.N-CMOS heterogeneous circuits.

The literature on disasters mainly f.cuses on natural disasters and looks at their coverage by the media. The paper argues that armed conf.icts are also disasters and that Western relief.agencies intervening in natural disasters and conf.ict are also proactive communicators. Taking a dif.erent approach f.om much of.the available research, it explores agencies＇ communication work in these two types of.crises and analyses the dif.erences, challenges and dilemmas that they f.ce in communicating their humanitarianism. It outlines the distinguished inherent characteristics of.natural disasters and conf.icts, and examines their impact on the understanding of.the crises, the perception of.af.ected populations, and the implementation of.agencies＇ actions. It also investigates how, in turn, all these f.atures inf.uence agencies＇ communication practices that in natural disasters emergencies and conf.ict-related crises perf.rm a dif.erent role and show dif.erent parameters. In this sense, the paper distinguishes between ＂humanitarian communication＂ to ref.r to the f.rmer, and ＂humanitarian advocacy＂ to ref.r to the latter. The paper brief.y explores the operational challenges engendered by the contested interpretations of.humanitarian advocacy, shows that the use of.the parameters of.humanitarian communication in conf.ict-related crises to overcome these problems caused additional concern, and presents two f.rms of.humanitarian advocacy engendering less challenges and dilemmas.

The greatest advantages of.laparoscopy when compared to open surgery include the f.ster recovery times, shorter hospital stays, decreased postoperative pain, earlier return to work and resumption of.normal daily activity as well as cosmetic benef.ts. Laparoscopy today is considered the gold standard of.care in the treatment of.cholecystitis and appendicitis worldwide. Laparoscopy has even been adopted in colorectal surgery with good results. The technological improvements in this surgical f.eld along with the development of.modern techniques and the acquisition of.specif.c laparoscopic skills have allowed f.r its utilization in operations with f.lly intracorporeal anastomoses. f.rther progress in laparoscopy has included single-incision laparoscopic surgery and natural orif.ce trans-luminal endoscopic surgery. Nevertheless, laparoscopy f.r emergency surgery is still considered challenging and is usually not recommended due to the lack of.adequate experience in this area. The technical dif.iculties of.operating in the presence of.dif.use peritonitis or large purulent collections and dif.use adhesions are also given as reasons. However, the potential advantages of.laparoscopy, both in terms of.diagnosis and therapy, are clear. Major advantages may be observed in cases with dif.use peritonitis secondary to perf.rated peptic ulcers,f.r example, where laparoscopy allows the conf.rmation of.the diagnosis, the identif.cation of.the position of.the ulcer and a laparoscopic repair with ef.ective peritoneal washout. Laparoscopy has also revolutionized the approach to complicated diverticulitis even when intestinal perf.ration is present. Many other emergency conditions can be ef.ectively managed laparoscopically, including trauma in select hemodynamically-stable patients. The problem of.understanding loosely bound hadron molecules prompt production at hadron colliders is still open: how is it possible that meson molecules with binding energy compatible with zero could be f.rmed within the bulk of.the hadrons ejected in very high energy collisions? Monte Carlo simulations have been perf.rmed in the literature, leading to production cross sections, two orders of.magnitude which were smaller than the experimental value. One possible mechanism to reduce this gap could be f.nal state interactions of.heavy mesons, but a precise evaluation of.such ef.ect is challenged by the presence of.pions between the molecular constituents. In this paper, we present a new mechanism by using precisely such comoving pions. Heavy meson pairs can indeed slow down because of.elastic scattering with surrounding pions. The number of.low-relative-momentum meson pairs increases, thereby enhancing prompt production cross section. In this preliminar simulation, we show that an enhancement of.100 is indeed possible.
