In this study, the gamma radiation shielding f.atures of.several environmentally f.iendly materials were investigated. f.r this purpose, several attenuation parameters, such as the mass attenuation coef.icient (l=q), radiation protection ef.iciency (RPE), and ef.ective atomic number (Zef.) were determined experimentally and compared with numerical data obtained using WinXCom sof.ware. In the measurements, the emitted gamma photons were counted by a gamma spectrometer equipped with an HPGe detector using 22Na, 54Mn, 57Co, 60Co, 133Ba, and 137Cs radioactive point sources in the energy region of.81–1333 keV. The obtained results indicate that the l=q and RPE values of.the samples decrease with an increase in photon energy. The experimental values are in good agreement with those obtained using WinXCom sof.ware. The RPE and Zef. results show that among the studied materials, the NaY0.77Yb0.20Er0.03f. sample has the best gamma radiation shielding ef.ectiveness.

The rapid advancement of.nanotechnology has sparked much interest in applying nanoscale perovskite materials f.r photodetection *** materials are promising candidates f.r next-generation photodetectors(PDs)due to their unique optoelectronic properties and f.exible synthesis *** review explores the approaches used in the development and use of.optoelectronic devices made of.dif.erent nanoscale perovskite architectures,including quantum dots,nanosheets,nanorods,nanowires,and *** a thorough analysis of.recent literature,the review also addresses common issues like the mechanisms underlying the degradation of.perovskite PDs and of.ers perspectives on potential solutions to improve stability and scalability that impede widespread *** addition,it highlights that photodetection encompasses the detection of.light f.elds in dimensions other than light intensity and suggests potential avenues f.r f.ture research to overcome these obstacles and f.lly realize the potential of.nanoscale perovskite materials in state-of.the-art photodetection *** review provides a comprehensive overview of.nanoscale perovskite PDs and guides f.ture research ef.orts towards improved perf.rmance and wider applicability,making it a valuable resource f.r researchers.

Quadriplegia is a neuromuscular disease that may cause varying degrees of.f.nctional loss in trunk and *** such cases,head movements can be used as an alternative communication *** this study,a human–machine interf.ce which is controlled by human head movements is designed and *** proposed system enables users to steer the desired movement direction and to control the speed of.an output device by using head *** movements of.the users are detected using a 6 DOf.IMUs measuring three-axis accelerometer and three-axis *** head movement axes and the Euler angles have been associated with movement direction and speed,*** ensure driving saf.ty,the speed of.the system is determined by considering the speed requested by the user and the obstacle distance on the *** this context,f.zzy logic algorithm is employed f.r closed-loop speed control according to distance sensors and ref.rence speed data.A car model was used as the output device on the machine ***,the wireless communication between human and machine interf.ces provides to adapt this system to any remote device or *** implemented system was tested by f.ve *** of.the system was evaluated in terms of.task completion times and f.edback f.om the subjects about their experience with the *** indicate that the proposed system is easy to use;and the control capability and usage speed increase with user *** control speed is improved with the increase in user experience.

Bees are the main contributors of.pollination and it is predicted that disruption of.pollination causes some serious problems in economics, agriculture and ecology. It has been reported that honeybee colony collapse has increased dramatically f.r some time in dif.erent parts of.the world. In order to investigate the causes of.colony collapse, we establish a f.actional multi-order honeybee colony population model. Two dif.erent models with Caputo and Caputo-f.brizio dif.erentiation operators have been compared. We justif. the existence and uniqueness of.the solution. Stability analysis has been presented. We f.nd the numerical values of.the f.actional order （p, q） so that the numerical results are close to the experimental f.ndings more than the integer-order case.

The mass attenuation coef.icients(l/q) f.r dif.erent parts(root, f.ower, stem, and leaf. of.three medicinal aromatic plants(Teucrium chamaedrys L. subsp. sinuatum,Rheum ribes, and Chrysophthalmum montanum) were measured using an ^(241)Am photon source in a stable geometry and calculated using the Monte Carlo N-Particle Transport Code System-extended(MCNPX) code and the WinXCOM program. The experimental and theoretical MCNPX and WinXCOM values exhibited good *** measured mass attenuation coef.icient values were then used to compute the ef.ective atomic number(Z_(ef.))and electron density(N_E) of.the samples. The results reveal that S1-S(stem of.Teucrium chamaedrys L. subsp. sinuatum) has the highest values of.l/q and Zef..

Background Despite the high prevalence of.inf.ntile colic, the pathogenesis remains incompletely understood. Cortisol and melatonin hormones af.ect gastrointestinal system development in several ways, and interestingly, both cortisol and mela-tonin's circadian rhythms begin around the 3rd month in which inf.ntile colic symptoms start to decrease. We hypothesized that inf.ntile colic might associate with desynchronization of.normal circadian rhythms of.these hormones. In this study, we aimed to investigate the role of.melatonin and cortisol in the pathogenesis of.inf.ntile colic. Methods Patients who were diagnosed as inf.ntile colic according to Wessel's 'rule of.three' were enrolled in the colic group. We measured the saliva melatonin and cortisol levels of.colic group and control group inf.nts. In both groups, the saliva samples were taken in mornings and at evenings, at the time of.diagnosis and 6th month. Results f.f.y-f.ve inf.nts f.nished the study. Melatonin circadian rhythm developed earlier in the control group than the inf.ntile colic group in our study. We f.und no signif.cant dif.erence between the daily mean cortisol levels. However, inf.nts with colic had f.atter daily cortisol slope than controls which pointed out the probability that they had a less clearly def.ned cortisol rhythm than inf.nts without colic. Conclusions We f.und an association between melatonin levels and inf.ntile colic. However, more research is needed to f.lly understand the role of.hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis and hormone's role on inf.ntile colic physiopathology.

International trade depends on networking,interaction and in-person meetings which stimulate cross-border *** countries are seeking policies to encourage inbound mobility to support bilateral trade,tourism,and f.reign direct *** nations have been implementing liberal visa regimes as an important part of.f.cilitating policies in view of.security *** has been among the nations introducing liberal visa policies to support trade in the last decade and recorded signif.cant increases in the volumes of.*** this paper,we employed machine learning methodologies,Support vector machines(SVM)and Neural networks(NN),to investigate the f.cilitating impact of.liberal visa policies on bilateral trade,using the export data f.om Turkey f.r the period of.2000–*** research disentangled the variables that have the strongest impact on trade utilizing SVM and NN models and exhibited that visa policies have signif.cant impacts on the bilateral *** relaxed visa policies are recommended f.r the countries in the pursuit of.increasing exports.

The objective of.this study was to compare the outcomes of.the modif.ed Nesbit procedure using dif.erent techniques f.r dissecting the neurovascular bundle （NVB） to correct ventral congenital penile curvatures （CPCs）. The bundle was mobilized using the medial and lateral dissection technique in 21 （Group 1） and 13 （Group 2） patients, respectively. In the medial technique, Buck＇s f.scia is opened at the dorsal side of.the penis, the deep dorsal vein is removed at the most prominent site of.the curvature and a diamond-shaped tunica albuginea （TA） is excised f.om the midline of.the penis. In the lateral technique, the bundle is mobilized using a longitudinal lateral incision of.the Buck＇s f.scia above the urethra at the 5 and 7 o＇clock positions via a bilateral approach. The localization and degree of.curvature was evaluated using the combined intracavernous injection stimulation test or f.om the patients＇ photographs. The mean patient age and degree of.curvature were similar between groups. The mean operation time was longer f.r Group 2 （P= 0.01）. In Group 1, nine patients （42.8%） required one diamond excision, 10 （47.6%） required two diamond excisions and two （9.5%） required more than two excisions; in Group 2, six patients （46.2%） required two diamond excisions and seven patients （53.8%） required more than two diamond excisions （P = 0.019）. The dif.erences in penile shortening, penile straightening and numbness of.the glans penis were not statistically signif.cant. Medial dissection of.the bundle f.r the modif.ed Nesbit procedure reduces the number of.diamond-shaped removals of.TA and thus shortens operation time in comparison with its lateral counterpart.

BACKGROUND Total talar dislocation (TTD) is very uncommon f.r many orthopedic surgeons and emergency/trauma specialists. Scarce cases of.TTD have been reported, mainly in the f.rm of.open f.acture-dislocation injury. CASE SUMMARY We report a very rare injury of.closed TTD with a f.llow-up period of.36 mo. Initial closed reduction was not successf.l because of.a f.actured highly unstable medial malleolus displaced into the ankle mortise, blocking the relocation of.the talus. The patient was able to walk pain-f.ee af.er the 3rd month of.surgery. At the 36-mo f.llow-up, there were 10 degrees of.f.exion loss and 10 degrees of.extension loss in the tibiotalar joint. f.rthermore, 5 degrees of.subtalar joint inversion-eversion loss was present. CONCLUSION Open reduction should be perf.rmed f.r closed TTDs unless closed reduction is successf.l.

Gene regulatory networks （GRNs） control the production of.proteins in cells. It is well-known that this process is not deterministic. Numerous studies employed a non- deterministic transition structure to model these networks. However, it is not realistic to expect state-to-state transition probabilities to remain constant throughout an organ- ism＇s lif.time. In this work, we f.cus on modeling GRN state transition （edge） variability using an ever-changing set of.propensities. We suspect that the source of.this variation is due to internal noise at the molecular level and can be modeled by introducing addi- tional stochasticity into GRN models. We employ a beta distribution, whose parameters are estimated to capture the pattern inherent in edge behavior with minimum error. Additionally, we develop a method f.r obtaining propensities f.om a pre-determined network.
