The new phosphogypsum (PG) wa.te ma.a.ement policy a.lowed to reduce the nega.ive environmenta. impa.t of this residue by finding better a.terna.ives uses with a. extremely limited ra.iologica. impa.t. Building ma.eria. could be one of these a.terna.ives tha. could lea. to the production of fina. products with good mecha.ica. properties a.d very limited ra.ionuclides content. The optimiza.ion of the ra.ioa.tive levels in the building ma.eria.s when PG is used for its production requires the previous knowledge of the content of na.ura.ly occurring ra.ionuclides in the PG wa.te. This a.ticle a.ms the ra.ioa.tive cha.a.teriza.ion of two different PG sources (from Spa.n (fertiberia.S.a., Huelva. a.d Tunisia.(Sfa.), before being incorpora.ed in building ma.eria.s. for this purpose, the na.ura. selected ra.ionuclides content belonging to ura.ium a.d thorium deca. series a.d 40K wa. determined, by mea.s of two different methods: i) ga.ma.spectrometry with high-purity germa.ium detectors a.d ii) la.er-induced kinetic phosphorimetry (KPa.11 Chemcheck Instruments Inc., Richla.d, Wa.. a.so, the semiqua.tita.ive chemica. composition, the minera.ogica. study a.d the morphologica. a.pect of the PG sa.ples were a.a.ysed. The results obta.ned from both techniques show tha. 226Ra.a.d 210Po a.e the ma.n source of the ra.ioa.tivity in both studied PG sa.ples. However, PG sa.ples from Tunisia.present low na.ura. ra.ionuclide levels (30.7 Bq?kg–1 a.era.e va.ue for 238U, 188 Bq?kg–1(226Ra., 163 Bq?kg–1(210Pb), 12.4 Bq?kg–1 (232Th)) compa.ed to the level of na.ura. ra.ionuclides in PG sa.ples from Huelva.(102 Bq?kg–1 a.era.e va.ue for 238U, 520 Bq?kg–1(226Ra., 881 Bq?kg-1(210Pb) a.d 8 Bq?kg-1 (232Th). Both PG fulfil Europea. Commission Recommenda.ion (ECR) for the ma.imum a.tivity concentra.ions of na.ura.ly-occurring ra.ionuclides for industria. by product used in building ma.eria.s in the Europea. Union.

Phosphogypsum (PG), prima.y by-product from phosphoric a.id production, is a.cumula.ed in la.ge stock-piles which were a.tive until 2010, when spills were ba.ned. It is considered a. NORM ma.eria. tha. conta.ns ra.ionuclides from 238U a.d deca. series which a.e of most ra.iotoxicity. PG wa. va.orized a.d/or recycled in a.building ma.eria., sulfur polymer cement (SPC). The SPC-PG sa.ples rea.h the interna.iona. regula.ion to use in the ma.ufa.ture of building ma.eria.s without ra.iologica. restrictions, except the sa.ple with the 50% of PG. Under norma. conditions of ventila.ion the contribution to the expected ra.on indoor concentra.ion is a.so below the interna.iona. recommenda.ion.

Memory deficit,which is often a.socia.ed with a.ing a.d ma.y psychia.ric,neurologica.,a.d neurodegenera.ive disea.es,ha. been a.cha.lenging issue for trea.ment.Up till now,a.l potentia. drug ca.dida.es ha.e fa.led to produce sa.isfa.ctory effects.Therefore,in the sea.ch for a.solution,we found tha. a.trea.ment with the gene corresponding to the RGS14414protein in visua. a.ea.V2,a.bra.n a.ea.connected with bra.n circuits of the ventra. strea. a.d the media. tempora. lobe,which is crucia. for object recognition memory(ORM),ca. induce enha.cement of ORM.In this study,we demonstra.ed tha. the sa.e trea.ment with RGS14414in visua. a.ea.V2,which is rela.ively una.fected in neurodegenera.ive disea.es such a. a.zheimer s disea.e,produced longla.ting enha.cement of ORM in young a.ima.s a.d prevent ORM deficits in rodent models of a.ing a.d a.zheimer’s disea.e.furthermore,we found tha. the prevention of memory deficits wa. media.ed through the upregula.ion of neurona. a.bo riza.ion a.d spine density,a. well a. a. increa.e in bra.n-derived neurotrophic fa.tor(BDNf).a.knockdown of BDNf gene in RGS14414-trea.ed a.ing ra.s a.d a.zheimer s disea.e model mice ca.sed complete loss in the upregula.ion of neurona. structura. pla.ticity a.d in the prevention of ORM deficits.These findings suggest tha. This work reports the growth a.d cha.a.teriza.ion of p-a.InN la.ers doped with Mg by pla.ma.a.sisted molecula. bea. epita.y(Pa.BE).a.InN wa. grown with a. a. mola. fra.tion of 0.80 by meta.-modula.ed epita.y(MME)with a.thickness of 180 nm on Si(111)substra.es using a.N a. buffer la.ers.low substra.e tempera.ures were used to enha.ce the incorpora.ion of indium a.oms into the a.loy without clustering,a. confirmed by X-ra. diffra.tion(XRD).Ca.hodoluminescence mea.urements revea.ed ultra.iolet(UV)ra.ge emissions.Mea.while,Ha.l effect mea.urements indica.ed a.ma.imum hole mobility of 146 cm^(2)/(V∙s),corresponding to a.free hole concentra.ion of 1.23×10^(19)cm^(−3).The sa.ples were a.a.yzed by X-ra. photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)estima.ing the a.loy composition a.d extra.ting the fermi level by va.ence ba.d a.a.ysis.Mg-doped a.InN la.ers were studied for use a. the electron-blocking la.er(EBl)in lED structures.We va.ied the a. composition in the EBl from 0.84 to 0.96 mola. fra.tion to a.sess its theoretica. effects on electroluminescence,ca.rier concentra.ion,a.d electric field,using SIlVa.O a.la..The results from this study highlight the importa.ce a.d ca.a.ility of producing high-qua.ity Mg-doped p-a.InN la.ers through Pa.BE.Our simula.ions suggest tha. a. a. content of 0.86 is optima. for a.hieving desired outcomes in electroluminescence,ca.rier concentra.ion,a.d electric field.

The present pa.er presents a. experimenta. a.d numerica. investiga.ion of the dispersion of the ga.eous jet flow a.d co-flow for the simple unit cell(SUC)a.d body-centred cubic(BCC)configura.ion of pa.ticles in pa.ked beds.The experimenta. setup is built in such a.wa. tha. suita.le a.d simplified bounda.y conditions a.e imposed for the corresponding numerica. fra.ework,so the simula.ions ca. be done under very simila. conditions a. the experiments.a.cordingly,a.porous pla.e is used for the co-flow to a.hieve the uniform velocity a.d the fully developed flow is ensured for the jet flow.The SUC a.d BCC pa.ticle beds consist of 3D-printed spheres,a.d the non-isotropy nea. the wa.ls is mostly elimina.ed by pla.ing ha.f-spheres a. the cha.nel wa.ls.The flow velocities a.e a.a.ysed directly a. the exit of the pa.ticle bed for both beds over 36 pores for the SUC configura.ion a.d 60 pores for the BCC configura.ion,for pa.ticle Reynolds numbers of 200,300,a.d 400.Stereo pa.ticle ima.e velocimetry is experimenta.ly a.ra.ged in such a.wa. tha. the velocities over the entire region a. the exit of the pa.ked bed a.e obta.ned insta.ta.eously.The numerica. method consists of a.sta.e-of-the-a.t immersed bounda.y method with a.a.tive mesh refinement.The pa.er presents the pore jet structure a.d velocity field exiting from ea.h pore for the SUC a.d BCC pa.ked pa.ticle beds.The numerica. a.d experimenta. studies show a.good a.reement for the SUC configura.ion for a.l flow velocities.for the BCC configura.ion,some differences ca. be observed in the pore jet flow structure between the simula.ions a.d the experiments,but the genera. flow velocity distribution shows a.good overa.l a.reement.The a.ia. velocity is genera.ly higher for the pores loca.ed nea. the centre of the pa.ked bed tha. for the pores nea. the wa.l.In a.dition,the a.ia. velocities a.e observed to increa.e nea. the periphera. pores of the pa.ked bed.This beha.iour is predomina.t for the BCC configura.ion a. compa.ed to the SUC configura.ion.The velocities nea. the per

Through service user(N = 12) a.d professiona.(N = 6) interviews a.d a.questionna.re with service users(N = 255), we demonstra.e the pivota. role of digita. connectedness in tra.sforming VinclesBCN into a.lifeline during the pa.demic. The a.a.ysis revea.ed the importa.ce of socia.ility, socia. support, a.d, especia.ly, enterta.nment in coping with pa.demic fa.igue a.d fa.ilita.ing socia. connectivity a.d support a.ong users. Users enga.ed in a.tivities such a. sha.ing ima.es, songs, memes, a.d da.ly greetings to provide proximity, socia.ility, a.d ca.e a.ong users, whether they belonged to preexisting groups or were newly introduced to the pla.form. It a.so fa.ilita.ed the identifica.ion of individua.s who needed compa.ionship, comfort, or more specia.ized support. The findings empha.ize the significa.ce of enterta.nment a. a.resilience-building stra.egy during times of uncerta.nty. Despite the positive impa.t, not a.l users equa.ly used the pla.form. Non-use wa. strongly a.socia.ed with being a.woma., ha.ing a.low educa.iona. level, ha.ing preexisting socia. rela.ionships, less time of enrolment in the pla.form, a. well a. a.high perception of loneliness, poor self-reported hea.th, a.d low mood. The a.ticle underscores the need for further resea.ch into older a.ults' digita. enga.ement during crises, its role in building resilience, a.d a.voca.ing for inclusive digita. interventions tha. ta.e into a.count diverse older a.ults' needs a.d experiences in crisis contexts.
