Wound healing is an unmet therapeutic challenge among medical society since wound assessment and management is a complex procedure including several factors playing major role in healing *** can mainly be categorized as acute or *** is well referred that the acute wound displays normal wound physiology while healing,in most cases,is seemed to progress through the normal phases of wound *** the other hand,a chronic wound is physiologically *** main problem in wound management is that the majority of wounds are colonized with microbes,whereas this does not mean that all wounds will be *** this review,we address the problems that clinicians face to manage while treat acute and chronic ***,we demonstrate the pathophysiology,etiology,prognosis and microbiology of *** further introduce the state of art in pharmaceutical technology field as part of wound management aiming to assist health professionals to overcome the current implications on wound *** addition,authors review researches which included the use of gels and dermal films as wound healing *** can be said that natural and synthetic drugs or carriers provide promising solutions in order to meet the wound management ***,are the current strategies as desirable as medical society wish?

Computational modeling and inhibition of SARS-COV-2 Papain-like protease enzyme:A potential therapeutic approach for COVID-19

This study aims to investigate the potential impact of inhibitors targeting the papain-like protease(PLpro)of SARS-CoV-2 on viral replication and the host immune response.A mathematical model was developed to simulate the interaction among susceptible cells,infected cells,PLpro,and immune cells,incorporating data on PLpro *** numerical simulations using MATLAB,the model parameters were estimated based on available statistical *** results indicate that strategically positioned inhibitors could impede the virus’s access to host cellular machinery,thereby enhancing the immune response and gradually reducing susceptible and infected cells over *** dynamics of the viral enzyme PLpro showed reduced activity with the introduction of the inhibitor,leading to a decline in viral ***,the immune cell population exhibited functional recovery as the inhibitor suppressed PLpro *** findings suggest that inhibitors targeting PLpro may serve as therapeutic interventions against SARS-CoV-2 by inhibiting viral replication and bolstering the immune response.

Relationship between LYVE-1, VEGFR-3 and CD44 gene expressions and lymphatic metastasis in gastric cancer

AIM: To investigate the expression levels of lymphatic vessel endothelial hyaluronan receptor-1 (LYVE-1), vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-3 (VEGFR-3) and CD44 genes and the relationship between their lev- els and clinicopathological parameters in gastric ***: Tissue samples were obtained from 33 patients (8 females) with gastric cancer. mRNA levels of LYVE-1, VEGFR-3 and CD44 in normal and tumor tissues were quantitatively measured using real time polymerase chain reaction. The results were correlated with lymph node metastasis, histological type and differentiation of the tumor, T-stage, and presence of vascular, perineural and lymphatic invasions. The distribution of molecules in the tissue was evaluated using immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: LYVE-1, CD44 and VEGFR-3 gene expression levels were significantly higher in gastric cancer than in normal tissue. While there was no correlation between gene expressions and clinicopathologic fea- tures such as histologic type, differentiation and stage, gene expression levels were found to be increased in conjunction with positive lymph node/total lymph node ratio and the presence of perineural invasion. A significant correlation was also found between LYVE-1 and CD44 over-expressions and perineural invasion and lymph node positivity in gastric cancers. When the dis- tribution of LYVE-1 antibody-stained lymphatic vessels in tissue was evaluated, lymphatic vessels were located intra-tumorally in 13% and peri-tumorally in 27% of the patients. Moreover, lymph node metastases were also positive in all patients with LYVE-1-staining. CONCLUSION: LYVE-1, VEGFR-3 and CD44 all play an important role in lymphangiogenesis, invasion and metastasis. LYVE-1 is a perfectly reliable lymphatic vessel marker and useful for immunohistochemistry.

The electron-hole exchange interaction significantly influences the optical properties of excitons and radiative decay. However, exciton dynamics in luminescent carbon dots （Cdots） is still not clear. In this study, we have developed a simple and efficient one-step strategy to synthesize luminescent Cdots using the pyrolysis of oleylamine. The sp^2 clusters of a few aromatic rings are responsible for the observed blue photoluminescence. The size of these clusters can be tuned by controlling the reaction time, and the energy gap between the π-π＊ states of the sp^2 domains decreases as the sp^2 cluster size increases. More importantly, the strong electron-hole exchange interaction results in the splitting of the exciton states of the sp^2 clusters into the singlet-bright and triplet-dark states with an energy difference ΔE, which decreases with increasing sp^2 cluster size owing to the reduction of the confinement energy and the suppression of the electron-hole exchange interaction.

Code Blue evaluation in children's hospital

BACKGROUND: True alarm rate of the Code Blue cases is at a low level in the Dr. Beh?et Uz Children's Hospital in ?zmir. This study aims to analyse the use of the Code Blue alarm cases in the children's ***: This retrospective clinical study evaluated the age and the gender of the cases, the arriving time of the Code Blue team, the date and time of the Code Blue Call, the reasons of the Code Blue Call, and the verifi cation which were all obtained from the Code Blue forms of the hospital dated between January 2014 and January 2015. The data of 139 Code Blue cases' forms were investigated and was divided into two groups: before and after the education containing 88 and 51 cases, ***: Conversive disorder(26% to 13%, P<0.01), syncope(21.5% to 19.6%, P<0.01), convulsion(17% to 13.7%, P<0.01), hypoglycemia(4.5% to 3.9%, P<0.01), anxiety(4.5% to 1.9%, P<0.01), head trauma due to syncope(4.5% to 0%), cardiac arrest(1.1% to 0%), respiratory difficulties(2.2% to 1.9%, P<0.01), suspicion of myocardial infarction(2.2% to 1.9%, P<0.01), fall from stairs(2.2% to 0%) and agitation cases(1.1% to 0%) were reduced, however, the hypertension cases were dramatically increased(3.4% to 29.4%, P<0.01) owing to the hospital staff's education. The Pearson's correlation coeffi cient before and after education was 0.837. About 97.8% of the Code Blue cases were false calls with female greater than male(P<0.01).CONCLUSION: The results of this study show that more education is required for the hospital's staff and a new color code that is to say pre-diagnosis team should be formed.

The plant-based food market is expanding and demand for novel plant-based milk alternatives is *** to conventional milk,lower protein content,and lower sensory acceptance are some of the challenges of the plant-based milk alternative *** research aimed to develop novel plant-based milk from two different local pistachio varieties grown in Antep and Siirt,Türkiye that would be higher in protein,unsaturated fatty acids,and phenolic compounds,and have superior taste and sensory *** content,fatty acid composition by gas chromatography,phenolic profile by high-pressure liquid chromatography,total phenolic content,and antioxidant activity by spectrophotometric method,and in vitro gastrointestinal digestion along with sensory characteristics by quantitative descriptive test were *** protein contents of the prepared pistachio milk were 3.78%and 3.09%for Antep and Siirt varieties of pistachio milk,*** most abundant fatty acid was oleic acid and the most abundant phenolic compounds were catechin and gallic ***,the bio-accessibilities of total phenolic content were 201%and 213%and the bio-accessibility of total antioxidant activity was 200%and 205%for plant-based milk of Antep and Siirt pistachio,*** overall sensory acceptance scores of the prepared pistachio milk were 5.6-7/*** findings indicated that plant-based milk substitutes prepared from Antep and Siirt pistachio were higher in protein,had highly bio-accessible phenolic content,and overall accepted in terms of sensory except color challenges.

Modernization, Globalization and Europeanization in the Cities of Anatolia, Turkey in Post 1980s

This study will portray the socio-economic and cultural bases of the alternative modernity claims of three Anatolian cities： Kayseri, Gaziantep and Eskisehir. The intention is to build a picture of the local socio-economic and cultural capacities of these cities and compare them. This comparative analysis will also involve a temporal dimension in the differentiation between the pre-1980s and post-1980s periods. It is hoped that this will offer a better perspective on the different starting points of the cities that resulted from historical levels of state involvement, which in turn produced variation in the formation of industrial and manufacturing capacities. Various practices of market based policies, which influenced the socio-economic conditions in these cities, will be presented to help us conceive of the differential impacts of these policies. Similarly, by looking at export capacities and labor market indicators in each city, we will have a more complete picture of the basis for claims of success. Two external processes, globalization and Europeanization and the changes and transformations they elicited, will also be discussed as additional and significant components in these cities＇ claims to success.

Simulation of Natural Convection in a Cavity:Cooling with Top versus Bottom Partition`

Natural convection in a square cavity is studied numerically with vertical hot walls and a cold partition located at the bottom or top walls. The effect of orientation of partition on isotherms, flow patterns, and heat transfer is analyzed for different fluids and Rayleigh numbers. The placement of partition is found to considerably influence the isotherms, flow patterns, and heat transfer. Heat transfer rate is observed always to increase when the partition is moved from bottom to top wall.

Protective efficacy of Nigella sativa oil against the harmful effects of formaldehyde on rat testicular tissue

Objective: To explore the effects of Nigella sativa oil(NSO) on the histopathological and biochemical changes that inhaled formaldehyde(FA) induces on the testicular tissue of rats. Methods: Thirty three adult male rats were separated into five groups as follows: C, the control group; 4 FA group which received FA for 4 weeks; 13 FA group which was given FA for 13 weeks; 4 FA+NSO group which was administered FA plus NSO for 4 weeks; 13 FA+NSO group which was treated with FA plus NSO for 13 weeks. FA was administered through inhalation for 8 h 5 days a week at a dose of 5 ppm in a special glass cage, and NSO was administered orally 1 mL/kg once daily. Rats were decapitated at the end of the experiment and testicular tissue specimens were harvested for histopathologic and biochemical assessment. Results: Compared to the C group, reduction was observed in the number of intact tubules and in the mean germinative epithelium thickness of the FA groups. Significant increase was observed in the number of intact tubules with the long-term(13 weeks) administration of NSO together with FA. Reduced glutathione peroxidase activity was found and oxidative stress index values were measured higher in the 4 FA and 13 FA groups versus the C group(P<0.05). Moreover, total antioxidant status levels decreased only in the 4 FA group(P<0.05) while only the 13 FA group significantly increased malondialdehyde levels and reduced catalase activities in comparison with the C group. In the 13 FA+NSO group, malondialdehyde levels decreased however glutathione peroxidase and catalase activities increased compared to the 13 FA group. Differences measured in total antioxidant status levels were found to be statistically significant only between the 4 FA and the 4 FA+NSO groups. Conclusions: NSO as an antioxidant should be used for a longer term to achieve protective efficacy both histopathologically and biochemically in the testicular tissue.
