Comparison of total/active ghrelin levels in primary open angle glaucoma,pseudoexfoliation glaucoma and pseudoexfoliation syndrome

AIM：To investigate the levels of ghrelin（Gh）,acylated ghrelin（AGh） and AGh/Gh ratio in the humor aqueous（HA） of cases with pseudoexfoliation syndrome（PXS）,pseudoexfoliation glaucoma（PXG）,primary open angle glaucoma（POAG） and to compare these with control ***：A prospective examination was made of the total Gh,and AGh levels in HA of 67 patients undergoing cataract *** were divided into 4 *** samples were aspirated at the beginning of the surgery,stored at -70℃.Gh and AGh quantification was performed with ELISA kits and the AGh/total-Gh ratios were ***,Kruskal-Wallis,Chi-square and post-hoc tests were used for statistical ***：Total Gh levels in HA were 189.2±45.6 pg/mL in the control group,199.2±32.9 pg/mL in PXS,180.6±20.9 pg/mL in PXG and 176.8±21.4 pg/mL in POAG groups（P〉0.05）.AGh levels in HA were 23.09±5.01 pg/mL in the control group,24.13±5.22 pg/mL in PXS,22.29±1.55 pg/m L in PXG and 19.69±2.93 pg/mL in POAG groups（P〉0.05）.The ratio of AGh/Gh was 10.3%±2.34% in the control group,13.03%±2.58% in PXS,12.3%±1.54% in PXG and 11.79%±1.41% in POAG groups（P=0.044）.The difference between the PXS and control groups was significant（P=0.03）.CONCLUSION：In spite of statistically insignificant results,the HA total Gh levels were lower than those of the control subjects but not parallel with the AGh levels in glaucoma *** relative increase in the AGh/Gh ratio in glaucoma cases supports the view that proportional increases of AGh might play a role in the pathogenesis of glaucoma.

Late clinical characteristics of infants with retinopathy of prematurity and treated with cryotherapy

AIM： To describe the clinical characteristics and late results of patients with retinopathy of prematurity（ROP）treated with ＂6h cryotherapy＂.·METHODS： Out of 1252 infants screened for ROP, 52 patients were treated with temporal 6h cryotherapy from1997 to 2005 were recalled to our clinic. Among these 23 patients were available and 46 eyes of 23 infants were included to evaluate for visual acuity, refractive error,ocular alignment, nystagmus, retinal examination（abnormal branching of retinal vessels, retinal thinning,latis degenerations, tortuosity of vessels, straightening of temporal vessels, narrowing of the angle of vessel in the juxtapapillary entrance, pigment changes, macular heterotopia）, optic atrophy and optic disc cupping, axial length at birth and axial length at 1y.·RESULTS： The median age at examination was 7（5-18）*** 32.6% of patients, the visual acuity was ≤20/200 and the mean best corrected visual acuity was 20/35 as measured with a Snellen chart. Mean spherical refractive error was-1.76±2.69 D. The degree of myopia at the last examination was found to be correlated with the elongation of the eye in the first year of life. Exotropia was present in 17.4%（n =8） of infants and esotropia in13%（n =6）. The most common retinal abnormality was abnormal branching of retinal vessels（82.6%） followed by retinal thinning（52.2%）.·CONCLUSION： The late clinical outcomes of infants with ROP treated in our clinic with cryotherapy seems to comparable with results of laser treatment.

Single-nucleus cross-tissue molecular reference maps toward understanding disease gene function

Understanding gene function and regulation in homeostasis and disease requires knowledge of the cellular and tissue contexts in which genes are ***,we applied four single-nucleus RNA sequencing methods to eight diverse,archived,frozen tissue types from 16 donors and 25 samples,generating a cross-tissue atlas of 209,126 nuclei profiles,which we integrated across tissues,donors,and laboratory methods with a conditional variational *** the resulting cross-tissue atlas,we highlight shared and tissue-specific features of tissue-resident cell populations;identify cell types that might contribute to neuromuscular,metabolic,and immune components of monogenic diseases and the biological processes involved in their pathology;and determine cell types and gene modules that might underlie disease mechanisms for complex traits analyzed by genome-wide association studies.

语言是重要的交际工具,学习一门语言最直接的目的是与目的语国家的人们进行交流。“说”的过程中,发音十分重要。学习者掌握的语音不对,会给人感觉不自然,甚至发生误会。外语教学中语音教学是一个重点。学习汉语声调过程中学习者容易遇到困难。本文中研究土耳其学生汉语声调偏误。本研究以初级、中级、高级汉语水平的16位土耳其留学生为研究对象,4位中国教师为实验对照组,利用问卷、听音标调、单字组与双字组声调实验样本,通过声学实验和对比分析,找出被试组汉语声调偏误情况,总结声调偏误规律,通过研究语音学文献与理论,分析产生声调偏误原因,从而提出了声调教学建议。本文具体的研究是土耳其留学生在学习汉语的声调方面出现的偏误,先做问卷调查,然后让学习者朗读单字组与双字组发音表,录音材料了解关于学生学习情况的问题;听录音,标出声调。问卷调查中出现16个问题,其中土耳其留学生的学习汉语的背景和正在学习汉语情况。听音标调材料中阴平、阳平、上声、去声,四个声调各出现6次,共24个音节。单字组发音表中一声、二声、三声、四声各出现10次。双字组发音表的制定,首先将每个声调分别和四个声调以及轻声组合,共计20组,各出现2次。本文中利用Praat语音分析软件进行分析录音样本,取得9个基频点的数值,后利用Excel进行操作五度值图形和数据。根据实验结果,对比中国人的发音和土耳其学生的发音。描述土耳其学生的听辨,发音声调情况,偏误的原因分成母语的负迁移、学习策略的影响、教学体系问题。后提出了声调教学策略。最后论文主要的内容,实验结果,产生偏误的原因,提出的教学建议总结了。

目的:评估行普通白内障超声乳化术,手术经验对术源性散光(SIA)的影响。方法:选取患者50例53眼,平均年龄64.5±10.8a,随机分为两组,一组23眼,二组30眼。手术方式均采用透明角膜切口白内障超声乳化吸除联合人工晶状体植入术。第一组由白内障专家手术,第二组则由住院医师手术。术前所有患者均接受全面眼科检查,包括角膜曲率和自动屈光检测。SIA应用向量分析程序-Alpins法计算,于术后1d,1mo及2mo重复上述检查并记录结果变化。应用Shapiro Wilk和Mann-Whitney检验判断两组间SIA的统计学差异。结果:两组患者人口资料差异无统计学意义。组间分析显示,一组术后1d,1mo及2mo的SIA分别为0.79±0.41D,0.54±0.41 D及0.47±0.37 D;二组分别为1.27±0.66 D,0.98±0.56 D及0.94±0.54 D。可见一组术后1d(P=0.002),1mo(P=0.004)及2mo(P=0.001)的SIA更小。结论:手术经验是影响SIA的因素之一。住院医师应增加超声乳化术手术量以获取更多手术经验。

Imatinib response of gastrointestinal stromal tumor patients with germline mutation on KIT exon 13:A family report

Familial gastrointestinal stromal tumor(GIST) is a rare autosomal dominant disorder associated with mutations in the KIT gene in the majority of cases. Although, exon 11 appears to be the hot spot region for approximately 95% of germline mutations, pathogenic variations have also been identified in exon 8, 13 and 17. Exon 13 germline mutations are extremely rare amongst familial GISTs and seven families with a germline mutation have been reported to date. Moreover, the role of imatinib mesylate in this rare familiar settings is not completely known so far. We describe here clinical, imaging, pathological and genetic findings of a family with four affected members; grandmother, his son and two grand-sons having a germline gain-of-function mutation of KIT in exon 13 and discuss the imatinib mesylate treatment surveillance outcomes towards disease management.

目的:探讨血清唾液酸和糖尿病性视网膜病变几个阶段之间潜在的关联。方法:1型糖尿病视网膜不同程度病变组40例。对照组30例,对其血清唾液酸水平进行研究。结果:结果显示,研究组与对照组相比有较高的血清唾液酸浓度(95.95±9.5 vs 45.05±19.91mmoL/L,P=0.0001)。我们也观察到糖尿病性视网膜病变的水平逐步上升,其浓度升高(P<0.05),但相关性较弱。血清唾液酸浓度与血糖浓度呈正相关(r=0.67,P=0.0001)。结论:血清唾液酸浓度的增加与视网膜病变阶段有关。这对确定1型糖尿病患者视网膜病变的程度有帮助。但是,仍然需要更详细的研究,以得到更精确的结论。
