Influence of Features of Interphase Boundaries on Mechanical Properties and Fracture Pattern in Metal-Ceramic Composites

The results of a theoretical study on the influence of strength of interphase boundaries in metal-ceramic composite on macroscopical characteristics of composite response such as strength, deformation capacity, fracture energy and fracture pattern are presented. The study was conducted by means of computer-aided simulation by means of movable cellular automaton method taking account of a developed ＂mesoscopical＂ structural model of particle-reinforced composite. The strength of interphase boundaries is found to be a key structural factor determining not only the strength properties of metal-ceramic composite, but also the pattern and rate of fracture. The principles for achievement of the high-strength values of particle/binder interfaces in the metal-ceramic composition due to the formation of the wide transition zones （areas of variable chemical composition） at the interphase boundaries are discussed. Simulation results confirm that such transition zones provide a change in fracture mechanism and make the achievement of a high-strength and a high deformation capacity of metal-ceramic composite possible.

Objective To examine the prevalence of atrial fibrillation(AF),its impacts on cardiovascular disease(CVD)and all-cause mortality,and the associations between AF and inflammatory and serum biomarkers in a population-based sample of *** The study is a secondary analysis of data from the Stress,Aging and Health in Russia(SAHR)survey that includes information on 1800 individuals with an average age of 68.5 years at baseline,and on their subsequent mortality during 7.4 years on *** is detected by 12-lead electrocardiogram(ECG)and 24-hour Holter *** statistical analysis includes proportional hazard and logistic regression *** Of the 1732 participants with relevant Holter data,AF was detected in 100(74 by ECG and Holter,26 by Holter only).The prevalence of AF was 5.8%for men and 7.4%for *** fully adjusted model showed strongly elevated hazard of CVD and all-cause mortality in men and women with long non-self-limiting AF(LAF).LAF was found to be negatively associated with elevated total and lowdensity lipoprotein cholesterol and to be positively associated with elevated markers of inflammation in *** The study assessed for the first time the prevalence and the risks of death related to AF among older *** was shown to be a strong and independent predictor of CVD and all-cause *** is unlikely to contribute to the large excess male mortality in *** finding that one-quarter of AF cases were detected only by Holter monitoring demonstrates the usefulness of diagnostics with prolonged ECG registration.

Autonomous air combat decision-making of UAV based on parallel self-play reinforcement learning

Aiming at addressing the problem of manoeuvring decision-making in UAV air combat,this study establishes a one-to-one air combat model,defines missile attack areas,and uses the non-deterministic policy Soft-Actor-Critic(SAC)algorithm in deep reinforcement learning to construct a decision model to realize the manoeuvring *** the same time,the complexity of the proposed algorithm is calculated,and the stability of the closed-loop system of air combat decision-making controlled by neural network is analysed by the Lyapunov *** study defines the UAV air combat process as a gaming process and proposes a Parallel Self-Play training SAC algorithm(PSP-SAC)to improve the generalisation performance of UAV control *** results have shown that the proposed algorithm can realize sample sharing and policy sharing in multiple combat environments and can significantly improve the generalisation ability of the model compared to independent training.

Active oxygen center in oxidative coupling of methane on La_(2)O_(3) catalyst

La_(2)O_(3) catalyzed oxidative coupling of methane(OCM) is a promising process that converts methane directly to valuable C_(2)(ethylene and ethane) products. Our online MS transient study results indicate that pristine surface without carbonate species demonstrates a higher selectivity to C_(2) products, and a lower light-off temperature as well. Further study is focused on carbonate-free La_(2)O_(3) catalyst surface for identification of active oxygen species associated with such products behavior. XPS reveals unique oxygen species with O 1 s binding energy of 531.5 e V correlated with OCM catalytic activity and carbonates removal. However, indicated thermal stability of this species is much higher than the surface peroxide or superoxide structures proposed by earlier computation models. Motivated by experimental results,DFT calculations reveal a new more stable peroxide structure, formed at the subsurface hexacoordinate lattice oxygen sites, with energy 2.18 e V lower than the previous models. The new model of subsurface peroxide provides a perspective for understanding of methyl radicals formation and C_(2) products selectivity in OCM over La_(2)O_(3) catalyst.

Hereditary cancer syndromes(HCSs)are arguably the most frequent category of Mendelian genetic diseases,as at least 2%of presumably healthy subjects carry highly-penetrant tumor-predisposing pathogenic variants(PVs).Hereditary breast-ovarian cancer and Lynch syndrome make the highest contribution to cancer morbidity;in addition,there are several dozen less frequent types of familial *** development of the majority albeit not all hereditary malignancies involves two-hit mechanism,*** somatic inactivation of the remaining copy of the affected *** studies on cancer families suggested nearly fatal penetrance for the majority of HCS genes;however,population-based investigations and especially large-scale next-generation sequencing data sets demonstrate that the presence of some highly-penetrant PVs is often compatible with healthy *** cancer research initially focused mainly on cancer detection and *** studies identified multiple HCS-specific drug vulnerabilities,which translated into the development of highly efficient therapeutic options.

Distribution and Environmental Suitability of the Smallscaled Rock Agama, Paralaudakia microlepis(Sauria: Agamidae) in the Iranian Plateau

Predictive potential distribution modeling is of increasing importance in modern herpetological studies and determination of environmental and conservation priorities. In this article we provided results of analysis and forecasts of the potential distribution of smallscaled rock agama Paralaudakia microlepis （Blanford, 1874） using the distribution models through Maxent （***/- schapire / maxent）. We made an attempt for comparison of input of bioclimatic factors and characteristics of biotope distribution for three species of genus Paralaudalda. Constructed model identified dissemination of Paralaudakia microlepis enough performance （AUC = 0.972 with dispersion 0.003）. According to the map constructed, the most suitable habitats of smallscaled rock agama Paralaudakia microlepis are located in southern and eastern Iran, the west of central Pakistan and southeastern Afghanistan.

Photonic neural network has been sought as an alternative solution to surpass the efficiency and speed bottlenecks of electronic neural *** that the integrated Mach-Zehnder Interferometer(MZI)mesh can perform vector-matrix multiplication in photonic neural network,a programmable in-situ nonlinear activation function has not been proposed to date,suppressing further advancement of photonic neural ***,we demonstrate an efficient in-situ nonlinear accelerator comprising a unique solution-processed two-dimensional(2D)MoS2 Opto-Resistive RAM Switch(ORS),which exhibits tunable nonlinear resistance switching that allow us to introduce nonlinearity to the photonic neuron which overcomes the linear voltage-power relationship of typical photonic *** reconfigurable scheme enables implementation of a wide variety of nonlinear ***,we confirm its feasibility and capability for MnIST handwritten digit recognition,achieving a high accuracy of 91.6%.Our accelerator constitutes a major step towards the realization of in-situ photonic neural network and pave the way for the integration of photonic integrated circuits(PIC).
