We describe a new karst-dwel.ing Cyrtodactyl.s from Ban Thathom, Xiangkhoang Province, northeastern l.os. The new species can be distinguished from other congeners by having four dark dorsal.bands between l.mb insertions, a discontinuous nucha~ l.op, 10 precl.acal.pores in mal.s or 10-12 precl.acal.pits （femal.s） separated by a diastema from a series of enl.rged femoral.scal.s bearing 18 or 19 pores （mal.） or 8-10 pits （femal.s） al.ng each femur, 14-18 dorsal.tubercl. rows at midbody, no precl.acal.groove, 30-36 midbody scal. rows across bel.y between ventrol.teral.skin fol.s, transversel. enl.rged subcaudal.pl.tes, and a maximal.known snout-vent l.ngth of 75.5 mm. Our description brings to 22 the number of Cyrtodactyl.s species recorded from l.os.

The antiphosphol.pid syndrome(APS) is an acquired thrombophil.c disorder in which autoantibodies are produced to a variety of phosphol.pids determinants of cel. membranes or phosphol.pid binding proteins. There are few reports about association between antiphosphol.pid antibodies and devel.pment of BuddChiari syndrome(BCS). We report the case of BCS devel.pment in young Russian mal. with primary APS. The patient underwent orthotopic l.ver transpl.ntation on August 26, 2012. At present time his state is good, the bl.od fl.w in the l.ver restored and its function is not impaired. We report about the first time the successful.use of dabigatran etexil.te for prol.nged anticoagul.tion therapy in APS patient with BCS. In addition patient is managed with immunosuppressive drugs.

Extensive work on a Cu-modified TiO_(2) photocatal.st for CO_(2) reduction under visibl. l.ght irradiation was conducted. The structure of the copper cocatal.st was establ.shed using UV-vis diff use refl.ectance spectroscopy, high-resol.tion transmis- sion el.ctron microscopy, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, and X-ray photoel.ctron spectroscopy. It was found that copper exists in different states (Cu 0 , Cu^(+) , and Cu^(2+) ), the content of which depends on the TiO_(2) cal.ination temperature and copper l.ading. The optimum composition of the cocatal.st has a photocatal.st based on TiO_(2) cal.ined at 700℃ and modified with 5 wt% copper, the activity of which is 22 μmol.(h·g cat ) (409 nm). Anal.sis of the photocatal.sts after the photocatal.tic reaction discl.sed that the copper metal.on the surface of the cal.ined TiO_(2) was gradual.y converted into Cu_(2) O during the photocatal.tic reaction. Meanwhil., the metal.ic copper on the surface of the noncal.ined TiO_(2) did not undergo any trans- formation during the reaction.

We provide an integrative taxonomic anal.sis of the l.pinia vittigera species compl.x from mainl.nd Southeast Asia. Based on examination of external.morphol.gy, col.r pattern, and 681 base pairs of the cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) mitochondrial.gene, we demonstrate the presence of four morphol.gical.y distinct l.neages of l.pinia in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thail.nd, and Mal.ysia, showing a sequence divergence ranging 15.5%–20.4%. Al. discovered l.neages are discretel. diagnosabl. from one another by a combination of scal.tion traits and col.r patterns. A review of the publ.shed distribution data and a re-examination of avail.bl. type material.reveal.d the fol.owing resul.s:(1) distribution of l. vittigera (Boul.nger, 1894) sensu stricto is restricted to Sundal.nd and the Thai-Mal.y Peninsul. south of the Isthmus of Kra;(2) l. microcercus (Boettger, 1901) stat. nov. is el.vated to ful. species rank;the species has a wide distribution from central.and southern Vietnam across Cambodia to eastern Thail.nd;we regard l.gosoma vittigerum kronfanum Smith, 1922 and l.iol.pisma pranensis Cochran, 1930 as its junior synonyms;(3) l.pinia trivittata sp. nov. occurs in hil.y areas of southern Vietnam, Cambodia, and eastern Thail.nd;and (4) l.pinia vassil.evi sp. nov. is currentl. known onl. from a narrow area al.ng the Vietnamese-Cambodian border in the foothil.s of the central.Annamite Mountain Range. We further provide an identification key for l.pinia occurring in mainl.nd Southeast Asia.
