【研究背景】近些年,气候变化异常,洪涝灾害频发且加剧,严重影响了农业生产和粮食安全。水稻通常在5-20 cm的水层中能正常生长,而当积水深度超过25 cm时可导致其生长不良甚至死亡,即发生涝害。按淹水程度,涝害可以分为半淹、深淹和全淹。在实际生产中,半淹水涝害较为普遍。水稻营养生长期遭遇半淹水涝害诱发茎秆伸长而抑制分蘖产生。然而涝害抑制水稻分蘖发生的相关生理机理仍然不清;【材料与方法】本研究选取对半淹水涝害耐受能力不同的3个水稻品种swama(敏感型)、swama-sub1(敏感型)和IRRI154(耐淹型)为试材进行研究,盆栽试验设置0、5、30和50 cm 4个半淹水处理,播种后14天开始半淹水处理,定期取样测定相关指标;【结果与分析】在半淹水涝害胁迫下,各品种的分蘖发生显著受抑,而株高、茎秆伸长率、根系生物量、出叶速率、根-茎结合部位(分蘖发生部位)的非结构性碳水化合物(NsC)含量显著增加。植株顶叶叶绿素含量高于基部叶片,随淹水深度增加,上下部叶片的叶绿素含量均降低。半淹水涝害使过氧化氢产生加剧,同时叶片与茎秆丙二醛含量显著增加,而根茎结合部位丙二醛含量增加较为迟缓。分蘖数与株高、茎秆伸长率、出叶速率、根系生物量、叶片和根茎结合部位丙二醛含量及NsC含量呈显著负相关;【结论】在半淹水涝害下,水稻生长过程中分蘖的发生和茎秆的伸长存在竞争与补偿的机制,大部分能量用于茎秆的伸长而避免被淹没。水稻分蘖的抑制主要是由于能量亏缺和氧化损伤所致。耐涝品种调节能量平衡和抗氧化的能力较强。

Non-traditional lignocellulosic materials are a significant resource for producing high-value products, including nanocellulose. This work studied the nanocellulose obtention from chemical pulps of the two fast-growing bamboo species, Guadua trinii , and Guadua angustifolia . Chemical pulps were produced by soda-anthraquinone (s) pulping from both autohydrolysis-pretreated (H) and unpretreated bamboo chips. Autohydrolysis-pretreated (sHP) and unpretreated soda-anthraquinone (AQ) (sP) pulps were characterized by yield, Kappa number, alpha, beta, and gamma cellulose, degree of polymerization, water retention value, and crystallinity. The nanocellulose was produced by a sequential chemical oxidation treatment (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl, TEMPO reagent) and mechanical nanofibrillation. Nanocellulose was characterized by carboxylic group content and viscosity. The results revealed that autohydrolysis pretreatment resulted in a higher hemicelluloses extraction in G. angustifolia . In contrast, the pulping yield of unpretreated samples was higher for G. trinii , and the soda-AQ pulps from this species exhibited better delignification than the autohydrolysis-pretreated pulps. The crystallinity index values of the obtained pulps were high (>80%), and the alpha-cellulose contents were similar. The viscosities of the aqueous nanocellulose suspensions were higher for the nanocellulose solutions obtained from the unpretreated soda-AQ pulps. Besides, nanocellulose from G. trinii unpretreated soda-AQ pulps had a higher rate of carboxylic groups. The results of this work are significant in assessing the potential of both bamboo species as a source of high-value products within the biorefinery framework because the viscosities of the aqueous nanocellulose suspensions depend on the size and shape of nanofibrils. It has significant importance for industrial unit operations and potential applications.

Adult hippocampal neurogenesis is a finely tuned process regulated by extrinsic factors. Neuroinflammation is a hallmark of several pathological conditions underlying dysregulation of neurogenesis. In animal models, lipopolysaccharide(LPs)-induced neuroinflammation leads to a neurogenic decrease mainly associated to the early inflammatory response. However, it is not well understood how the neuroinflammatory response progresses over time and if neurogenesis continues to be diminished during the late neuroinflammatory response. Moreover, it is unknown if repeated intermittent administration of LPs along time induces a greater reduction in neurogenesis. We administered one single intraperitoneal injection of LPs or saline or four repeated injections(one per week) of LPs or saline to young-adult mice. A cohort of new cells was labeled with three 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine injections(one per day) 4 days after the last LPs injection. We evaluated systemic and neuroinflammation-associated parameters and compared the effects of the late neuroinflammatory response on neurogenesis induced by each protocol. Our results show that 1) a single LPs injection leads to a late pro-inflammatory response characterized by microglial activation, moderate astrocytic reaction and increased interleukin-6 levels. This response correlates in time with decreased neurogenesis and 2) a repeated intermittent injection of LPs does not elicit a late pro-inflammatory response although activated microglia persists. The latter profile is not accompanied by a continued longterm hippocampal neurogenic decrease. Hereby, we provide evidence that the neuroinflammatory response is a dynamic process that progresses in a milieu-dependent manner and does not necessarily lead to a neurogenic decrease, highlighting the complex interaction between the immune system and neurogenesis.

OBJECTIVE： To determine the role of a pharmacokinetic interaction in the protective effect of curcumin against the gastric damage induced by indomethacin administration as such or as its prodrug acemetacin. METHODs： Wistar rats orally received single dose of indomethacin （30 mg/kg） with and without curcumin （30 mg/kg）; gastric injury was evaluated by determining the total damaged area. Additional groups of rats received an oral single dose of indomethacin （30 mg/kg） or its prodrug acemetacin （34.86 mg/kg） in the presence or absence of curcumin （30 mg/kg）. Indomethacin and acemetacin concentrations in plasma from blood draws were determined by high-performance liquid chromatography Plasma concentration-against-time curves were constructed, and bioavailability parameters, maximal concentration （Cmax） and area under the curve to the last sampling time （AUC0_t） were estimated. REsULTs： Concomitant administration of indomethacin and curcumin resulted in a significantly reduced gastric damage compared to indomethacin alone. However, co-administration of curcumin did not produce any significant alteration in the bioavailability parameters of indomethacin and acemetacin after administration of either the active compound or the prodrug. CONCLUsION： Curcumin exhibits a protective effect against indomethacin-induced gastric damage, but does not produce a reduction of the bioavailability of this nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, indomethacin. Data thus suggest that a pharmacokinetic mechanism of action is not involved in curcumin gastroprotection.

Particulate matter （PM） emissions from various sources can affect significantly human health and environmental quality especially in the Chihuahuan Desert region along Us- Mexico border. The objective of this study was to use the low-cost sticky tape method to collect airborne PM for size characterization and identification of fungal spores. sticky tape samplers were placed at 1.0 and 2.0 m above the ground surface at experimental sites in Ciudad Ju＆ez, Mexico and at 0.6, 1.2 and 1.8 m at New Mexico sites, UsA. soil samples were collected in both countries to determine fungal diversity, texture and moisture content. Dust particles collected from all of the experimental sites had a dominant texture of clay （〈0.002 mm）. The dominant textures identified from soil samples collected from the Us and Mexican sites were loam and sandy clay loam, respectively. Alternaria, Penicillium and Fusarium were frequently found funguses in the Us sites while Alternaria and Aspergillus were commonly observed in the Mexican sites. The sticky tapes also showed a similar diversity of fungal microorganisms present in the airborne PM at both Mexico and Us sites. Alternaria, Penicillium and Aspergillus were the three groups of airborne fungal microorgan- isms consistently present in the Us and Mexican sites. The low-cost sticky tape method has the potential to be used for characterizing different airbome microorganisms and dust particles.

The energetic sector is necessary for productive activity in the world, because energy is one of the most essential economic resources. The energy, at a social-historic level, always has been relevant for the development of any society, and as a country advanced in this field, there is an important increase of their energetic needs, in such a way that all energy supplies are considered as a national security strategy for many countries. This element, the natural resources of their own, their existence and good management are and will be the key for the coming years and decades to achieve the national security in the energetic field, economic development, and environment. This last argument has a great importance for the issues that are generated by an environmental crisis and the greenhouse effect in the world, due to the consumption of energy from oil and coal. All these justify the relevance of performing an analysis of the problems between the energy development and the environment, and both issues are presented in this paper from the economic history point of view.

AIM:To determine the incidence of peripheral fractures in patients with celiac disease (CD) and the effect of treatment on fracture ***:We compared the incidence and risk of peripheral fractures before and after diagnosis between a cohort of 265 patients who had been diagnosed with CD at least 5 years before study entry and a cohort of 530 age-and sex-matched controls who had been diagnosed with functional gastrointestinal *** were collected through in-person interviews with an *** overall assessment window for patients was 9843 patient-years (2815 patient-years after diagnosis).REsULTs:Compared with the control group,the CD cohort showed significantly higher incidence rate and risk of first peripheral fracture before diagnosis [adjusted hazard ratio (HR):1.78,95% CI:1.23-2.56,P sk was significantly associated with the classic CD presentation with gastrointestinal symptoms (P sis,the risk of fractures was comparable between the CD cohort and controls in both sexes (HR:1.08,95% CI:0.55-2.10 for women;HR:1.57,95% CI:0.57-4.26 for men).CONCLUsION:CD patients have higher prevalence of fractures in the peripheral skeleton before *** is associated with male sex and classic clinical *** fracture risk was reduced after the treatment.

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the anthelmintic efficacy of three commercial compounds against ascarids and Capillaria spp. in naturally infected fighting cocks from Mexico. First experiment.- Forty cocks were selected on the basis of eggs per gram (EPG) counts quantified by the McMaster method. On day 0 the birds were divided into four groups of 10 cocks, each subjected to the treatments. Group 1 received a single oral dose of 1 mg of ivermectin, 25 mg of praziquantel and 40 mg of fenbendazole given in tablets according to body weight (b.w). Group 2 was treated with a single oral dose of 1 mg of ivermectin, 25 mg of praziquantel and 40 mg of fenbendazole given in tablets/b.w. but formulated with a different excipient. Group 3 received a single tablet containing 0.2 mg of abamectin and 30 mg of albendazole. Group 4 served as a non-treated control. Fecal analyses were carried out on days 0 (day of treatment), 7, 14, 21 and 28, being collected from the floor where the cocks were individually caged. Efficacy was measured on the percentage of egg reduction from day 0 with respect the EPG counts from the control group. In a second experiment the study was similarly performed using another cock-farm located at approximately 300 km away from the first one. Results indicated an overall efficacy of 100%, 94.0% and 100% for groups 1, 2 and 3 in the first experiment and 100%, 100%, 100% for groups 1, 2 and 3 of the 2nd experiment, respectively. It is concluded that all drugs used exerted high efficacy in fighting cocks naturally infected with helminths.
