Objecti.e(s): The cutti.g-edge assessment of voi.e di.orders i.cludes objecti.e and subjecti.e methods i. the dai.y cli.i.al practi.e. The latter assessment i. usually performed through the admi.i.trati.n of self-reported questi.nnai.es. Voi.e Handi.ap i.dex (VHi. i. one of the most wi.ely used tools both i. cli.i.al practi.e and i. research level. Thi. tool-questi.nnai.e was employed i. thi. research along wi.h the Voi.e Evaluati.n Template (VEF). i. turn, the ai. of thi. study was to analyse and produce the cut-off poi.ts of VHi.for voi.e-di.ordered pati.nts i. Greece by usi.g Recei.er Operati.g Characteri.ti. Curves (ROC Curves). Methods: Si.ty-three parti.i.ants (40 non-dysphoni. and 23 wi.h di.ferent types of dysphoni.) were classi.i.d by ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) doctors and SLPs (Speech-Language Pathologi.ts). The Helleni. VHi.along wi.h the translated Greek versi.n of the VEF was admi.i.tered to the subjects of thi. research. Results: The voi.e-di.ordered subjects exhi.i.ed hi.her overall VHi.scores (i. total and i. i.s 3 subdomai.s) compared to the control group. Stati.ti.al si.ni.i.ant di.ferences were found between dysphoni. and non-dysphoni. parti.i.ants for all VHi.s construct domai.s. The cut-off poi.t of VHi.total score was esti.ated at the value of 14.50 (sensi.i.i.y: 0.870, 1-speci.i.i.y: 0.000). Moreover, the cut-off poi.ts of the three subdomai.s were computed as 7.50 for functi.nal (sensi.i.i.y: 0.783, 1-speci.i.i.y: 0.000), 8.50 for physi.al (sensi.i.i.y: 0.739, 1-speci.i.i.y: 0.000) and 8.50 for emoti.nal domai. (sensi.i.i.y: 0.783, 1-speci.i.i.y: 0.050). Conclusi.n: The preli.i.ary stati.ti.al and ROC data analysi. of VHi.concluded that by usi.g thi. type of assessment method, populati.ns wi.h or wi.hout voi.e di.orders (i. Greece) can be di.ti.gui.hed. Albei. thi. tool i. a non-i.terventi.nal method i. could consequently offer an adequate screeni.g and moni.ori.g capabi.i.y.

The necessi.y of loweri.g the mean power consumpti.n of vari.us faci.i.i.s, due to the lack of thei. enormous future energy needs, led to an ongoi.g advance of vari.us technologi.s. These technologi.s have been ori.nted towards the concept of a Reduced Ecologi.al Footpri.t. Massi.e structures (such as bui.di.g complexes and hospi.als) have been redesi.ned and upgraded;many i.teri.r desi.ns have been dramati.ally altered whi.e new electroni. devi.es are constantly bei.g produced i. order to revoluti.ni.e a long term perspecti.e towards a “Green Planet” whi.e they exhi.i. astoni.hi.g si.nal processi.g. Consequently, an enormous technology already exi.ts whi.h needs to be properly combi.ed to a proposed methodology and to new i.eas relevant to systems’ admi.i.trati.n through automati. wi.eless control. Thi. paper i.tends to reduce the gap between desi.n and reali.ati.n of the aforementi.ned research. Consequently, the pri.ary contri.uti.n of thi. research i. the proposal of a complete desi.n protocol wi.h mi.i.i.ed defects relevant to Reduced Ecologi.al Footpri.ts of Faci.i.i.s (REFF) along wi.h i.s benefi.i.l advantages relevant to provi.i.g a healthy and producti.e work envi.onment. Thi. protocol consi.ts of four mai. parts whi.h are 1) the mai. key poi.ts-gui.eli.es, 2) i.s objecti.es, 3) the know-how methodology for i.plementati.n i. exi.ti.g i.stallati.ns and 4) the descri.ti.n of the i.mi.ent benefi.s i. workforce/human resources.

Objecti.e(s): Laryngeal i.flammati.ns lead to voi.e di.orders. Medi.al condi.i.ns such as chroni. laryngi.i., gastroesophageal reflux, laryngopharyngeal reflux, Rei.ke edema and/or vocal folds hemorrhage, result i. di.erse symptoms i.cludi.g chroni. cough, throat cleani.g and dysphoni. (e.g. hoarseness). i. turn, the dysphoni. symptoms can be evaluated vi. subjecti.e and objecti.e procedures. The objecti.e procedures usually i.clude self-percei.ed questi.nnai.es li.e the Voi.e Handi.ap i.dex (VHi.. Studi.s reported that VHi.can di.ti.gui.h objecti.ely dysphoni. and non-dysphoni. populati.ns usi.g the cut-off poi.ts of Recei.er Operati.g Characteri.ti. Curves. The purpose of thi. study was to calculate the cut-off poi.ts for i.di.i.uals exhi.i.i.g voi.e symptoms whi.h had been developed from laryngeal i.flammatory di.eases i. Greece. Methods: One hundred and twelve parti.i.ants (90 non-dysphoni. and 22 dysphoni.) fi.led i. the Helleni. Voi.e Handi.ap i.dex (VHi. and the Greek translated versi.n of Voi.e Evaluati.n Template (VEF) were admi.i.trated. All subjects were evaluated by an Otolaryngologi.t and a Speech-Language Pathologi.t. Results: The group wi.h voi.e di.orders exhi.i.ed hi.her VHi.scores (i. total and i. i.s 3 subdomai.s) compared to non-dysphoni. subgroup. Stati.ti.al si.ni.i.ant di.ferences were found for all VHi.s total cut-off poi.t of 19.50 (sensi.i.i.y: 0.882, 1-speci.i.i.y: 0.011) and for i.s three subdomai.s [functi.nal 6.50 (sensi.i.i.y = 0.636, and 1-speci.i.i.y = 0.022);physi.al 9.50 (sensi.i.i.y = 0.636, and 1-speci.i.i.y = 0.000);emoti.nal 6.50 (sensi.i.i.y = 0.455, and 1-speci.i.i.y = 0.133)]. Conclusi.n: The preli.i.ary results showed that VHi.could di.cri.i.ate i.di.i.uals havi.g voi.e di.orders from laryngeal i.flammati.ns. The Voi.e Handi.ap i.dex can be used as a pri.ary health care tool and a self-moni.ori.g procedure i. acute and sub-acute phases of the laryngeal i.flammati.n.
