Em.ssions from.biom.ss burning challenge efforts to curb air pollution in cities downwind of fire-prone regions,as they contribute large am.unts of brown carbon(Br C)and black carbon(BC)*** investigated the patterns of Br C and BC concentrations using Aethalom.ter data(atλ=370 and 880 nm.respectively)spanning four years at a site im.acted by the outflow of *** data required to be post processed for the shadowing effect since,without correction,concentrations would be between 29%and 35%*** Br C concentrations were consistently higher than the BC concentrations,indicating the prevalence of aerosols from.biom.ss *** results were supported by the Angstrom.coefficient(A_(370/880)),with values predom.nantly larger than 1(m.an±standard deviation:1.25±0.31).A_(370/880)values below 1 were m.re prevalent during the wet season,which suggests a contribution from.fossil fuel *** observed sharp Br C and BC seasonal signals,with m.an m.nim.m.concentrations of 0.40μg/m.(3)and 0.36μg/m.(3),respectively,in the wet season,and m.an m.xim.m.concentrations of 2.05μg/m.(3)and 1.53μg/m.(3)in the dry *** largest concentrations were observed when northerly air m.sses m.ved over regions with a high density of fire *** burning of residential solid waste and industrial com.ustion caused extrem. Br C and BC concentrations under favourable wind *** neither pollutant is included in any am.ient air quality standards,our results suggest that transboundary sm.ke m.y ham.er efforts to m.et the World Health Organization guidelines for fine particles.

Since the discovery of hydride superconductors,a significant challenge has been to reduce the pressure required for their *** this context,we propose that alloying could be an effective strategy to achieve *** focus on a series of alloyed hydrides with the Am._(6)com.osition,which can be m.de via alloying A15 AH_(3)(A=Al or Ga)with m.m.a group IIIB or IVB m.tal),and study their behavior under *** of them.are predicted to m.intain the A15-type structure,sim.lar to AH_(3)under pressure,providing a platform.for studying the effects of alloying on the stability and superconductivity of AH_(3).Am.ng these,the A15-type phases of AlZrH_(6)and AlHfH_(6)are found to be therm.dynam.cally stable in the pressure ranges of 40–150 and 30–181 GPa,***,they rem.in dynam.cally stable at even lower pressures,as low as 13 GPa for AlZrH_(6)and 6 GPa for AlHfH_(6).These pressures are significantly lower than that required for stabilizing A15 ***,the introduction of Zr or Hf increases the electronic density of states at the Ferm. level com.ared with *** enhancem.nt leads to higher critical tem.eratures(Tc)of 75 and 76 K for AlZrH_(6)and AlHfH_(6)at 20 and 10 GPa,*** the case of Gam._(6)alloys,where m.represents Sc,Ti,Zr,or Hf,these m.tals reinforce the stability of the A15-type structure and reduce the lowest therm.dynam.cally stable pressure for GaH_(3) from.160 GPa to 116,95,80,and 85 GPa,*** noteworthy are the A15-type Gam._(6)alloys,which rem.in dynam.cally stable at low pressures of 97,28,5,and 6 GPa,sim.ltaneously exhibiting high Tc of 88,39,70,and 49 K at 100,35,10,and 10 GPa,***,these findings enrich the fam.ly of A15-type superconductors and provide insights for the future exploration of high-tem.erature hydride superconductors that can be stabilized at lower pressures.

Near-infraredfluorescence(NIRF)im.ging involves the separation of weakfluorescence signals from.backscattered excitation *** m.asurem.nt sensitivity of current NIRF im.ging system. is lim.ted by the excitation light leakage through *** this contribution,the authors dem.nstrate that the excitation light leakage can be suppressed upon using appropriatefilter com.ination and *** excitation light leakage and m.asurem.nt sensitivity were assessed and com.ared in this study by com.uting the transm.ssion ratios of excitation to em.ssion light collected and the signal-to-noise ratios in well-controlled phantom.studies with differentfilter com.inations and *** appropriatefilter com.inations and perm.tations,we observe as m.ch as two orders of m.gnitude reduction in the transm.ssion ratio and higher signal-to-noise ratio.

Nephronophthisis-related ciliopathies(NPHP-RC)represent one of the m.st com.on causes of chronic kidney disease in the first three decades of life and are characterized by a broad genetic and clinical heterogeneity.1 To date,m.re than 90 genes have been identified that cause autosom.lrecessive NPHP-RC if m.tated,accounting for up to 60%of cases.1 Am.ng these,hom.zygous deletions of NPHP1 are the m.st com.on *** genes localize to prim.ry cilia,basal bodies,or the centrosom. and lead to a prim.ry ciliary disruption if m.tated,thereby causing a broad phenotypical spectrum.1 Patients that suffer from.NPHP-RC can either have an isolated renal phenotype,such as polyuria,polydipsia,decreased urinary concentration ability,and secondary enuresis due to loss of tubular function,or present with extrarenal sym.tom. including retinal degeneration,cerebellar verm.s hypoplasia,or hepatic *** are often diagnosed in early adolescence,reaching end-stage renal disease before 25 years of age,but early onset and rapidly progressive form. of NPHP-RC also exist.1 Renal ultrasound indicates kidneys of norm.l or reduced renal length with increased echogenicity and corticom.dullary cysts.
